I live in the northern part of Ukraine. And today, I woke up in the middle of the night to the sounds of bombing. I know exactly who is responsible for the terrorising of our citizens. But, no matter what, we stay strong. Thank you for your analysis! ❤️
It's bad enough having neighbours and work collagues that are psychopaths, but seeing more and more of them heading up entire countries makes me feel sick to my stomach. 🤢
Psychopathy in those who gain power is nothing new. It's a trait that stayed with our species as we evolved in physically harsher times. But have a nice day.
It's also interesting when you consider that it isn't allowed to accuse someone of lying in the British parliament. This might be seen as contributing towards a safe space for psychopathy. I am not suggesting Britain is worse than anywhere else in this regard, but it is an example with which I am familiar.
@@thinkingmoment I use the term safe space tongue in cheek. In one sense, the rule helps protect the status quo, and prevents attention from being drawn to the questionable modus operandi, making their position safer with less coherent challenges.
I watch you from Belarus, what's happening is heartbreaking and we're being involved against our wills... Thanks for bringing this up on an English-speaking channel!!
Bielarusian people are so cool! I met a lot of your people couse they were coming to do shopping to Poland and i am living close to the border. Łukaszenko is such a clown, he falsified his elections and now he is making his nation face the consequences of his actions. He said that Bielarus will stand with Russia, I think he meant that he would stand with Putin 🤦 i feel like everyone, including russian army, is suffering becouse of one man
I want to add that I support the Ukrainian people, as well as Russians who have demonstrated their position against Putin’s actions. I am aware of the peril in which they have placed themselves. One man with enough psychopathic traits can wreak havoc on the world. The U.S. is still dealing with the impact of a similar figure.

One can always depend on Americans to draw diagnoses and conclusions on what their CNNs or whatever other garbage source tell them ... I was genuinely embarrassed for the good doctor there. Seems as he had not even bothered to listen or understand what Putin says and how. Russians and sane Ukrainians respect Putin because he is the complete opposite to what was said. He is soft spoken, warm, overly tolerant and extremely modest person. As to Ukraine situation, you Americans should ask your own government and question their policies. They are the reason we have a war in Ukraine
@@elibrod9981 well i agree on one thing with you. Americans do have tendency to draw bad conclusions but as far as war in Ukraine if Ukrainians want sovereignty its absolutely their right. and if Putin is anything like Trump and Trump seems to support him then he should not be president and he certainly shouldn't invade Ukraine. Although NATO isn't without fault. by bringing anti ballistic missiles right next to Russian border they pushed Putin to protect Russian interest and keep the power in balance. but that does not excuse attack on Ukraine. the truth is that neither Russia or the west should have any say in what happens in central and southern Europe. They are their own independent countries. and as Slavs we should work together not against each other and this whole thing in Ukraine is the worst disaster since World War Two. What will Russians do when they take Kiev if west doesn't respond it will make them look weak so they will most likely respond. And all of this might end up becoming world war three. If west does not respond. Russia will destroy Ukraine's infrastructure and send them back couple hundred years in development. or they will do something worse. Putin claims that Ukraine is fascist but its Trump who is his supporter and he is far right and is against Ukraine. and fascists were right wingers like Trump only more extreme. and while I personally don't trust the west. Russia's rule is not acceptable. in world war two as Germans attacked from the west Russians attacked from the east and were working together until Hitler turned on Stalin. that makes Russians better than Germans but it does not make up for what happened at Katyn forest.
Stay safe and strong...I can get in your shoes, we are in a constant fear of invasion in my country too, but I'm sure you will go through this...freedom is the only way!
May the universe keep you and your family safe , your war is our war Putin brought death to Europe and i am sure that he already lost . He lost his humanity and sanity a while ago . Regards from scandinavia .
Something that I've heard a few times now is that the KGB almost didn't allow Putin to become an agent because they described him as "having a lower than average sense of danger" They thought he couldn't accurately asses how much danger he was actually in during any given situation. This makes a lot of what he's doing right now make sense to me.
Psychopaths have a muchs lesser stress level to dangerous situations -- In some program they studiet psychopaths and for instance when lifted to bengi jump psychopaths where muchs less stressed about danger . Male or female did not matter . He might be a psychopath or some form of autism could mayby also lead to similar behaviour . they just don´t feel the stress similar to normal people . it can be that it was not that he had lower then average sense of danger , but that he just isin´t that stressed in a dangerous situation. ,basically same but ---
High neuroticism is bad cause of anxiety, depression, bad mood etc. But too low neuroticism goes with recklessness, carelessness and miscalculation of danger and consequences. It's difficult to say whether he has too low neuroticism because on the one hand he seems to not care about the consequences of his actions. But on the other hand he seems to be terrified of the west and overly paranoid about the "dangerous" world outside of his country with its evil intentions. If he was as frightened and paranoid of himself as he is of "the west" we would not have these problems
Dr. Grande, thank you for making this video. I was born in Moscow right on the day after Putin officially came to power almost 22 years ago. I am Russian and I stand with Ukraine with all of my heart. Today has been a nightmare that we hoped would never come true.
I would also like to add that Putin's propaganda seems to be more focused on the idea of Russian Empire rather than Soviet Union - with former being seen as good old glorious days and latter as more of a failure of communism
There is a well-known Russian UA-camr who is in a state of torment over this. I follow him and feel so sorry for him and others, like you, who are against this tragedy.💔
I feel bad for you couse you are suffering couse of him too and he just doesn't care. He also send to death young boys to fight, one of the captured soliders was born in 2002 🤯 i don't know if they are telling the truth that they didn't know that they where going to war but even if they did, they didn't have a choice. They are certainly scared like hell which is heartbreaking. They are someones sons, they where supposed to have fun like other young people not to die for some white creep 😬
I feel like you need to update this after images of him sitting at long tables paranoid of even his own military generals and defense ministers, and his recent threats of nuclear war.
He may be on steroids/corticosteroids for health reasons which make him extremely susceptible to covid, hence the long tables. His face has looked very puffy lately which is a symptom of steroid use.
I think the puffiness could also be due to cosmetic surgery and/or fillers. Putin is 69 yrs old while his Olympian girlfriend, by whom he's had 5 children since dumping his wife, is only 38.
Mao zedong, Xi jinping, I could produce materials, unfortunately, lots of people can not say or see how worse could be if people would believe the extreme left narcissists' fancy bullshit.
Maybe I lost track, but I think "murderer" was left out of the descriptives assigned him by others. An all around despicable man. Very early in his rule, the nuclear sub Kursk exploded and was trapped under the Barents Sea for days with a few men still alive. He refused all foreign help. When he finally accepted a rescue diving team from the UK and Norway, it was too late. His hit-team's penchant for poisoning is particularly sadistic, but shooting and throwing out windows also comes in handy.
@@sk8ermGs Because there was no proper training or equipment in the Russian navy for that kind of rescue. It was just old Soviet stuff that didn't work for the more advanced sub. It's a fascinating story and there are some documentaries about it on UA-cam.

Yeah I agree but some countries are living in a bubble and thats why it even exists, money is important in these countries but this will barescrape the russian economy in years to come so what he promised to give people will not happen, rip...
Narcopathic resistance is the reason. At all levels Club Narcissist is the Leaderless Resistance that helps these nonces prevail. These Bell Ends fight tooth and nail for the privilege they are granted by society
"Why again for such high government positions “ psychiatric assestments “ aren’t mandatory ?!?! " You might as well ask "why don't we just do away with corruption?" First off, who makes the test? How do you pitch the idea and get enough people on board? How do you prevent the tests from being used frivolously to prevent level-headed candidates from entering politics? What do you do about the politicians who have a huge following of supporters? Who assesses the results of these tests? These are all practically impossible to answer without creating a rabbit-hole of new questions. Evil can't be stopped. It can only be kept at bay by quality people in a society coming together.

The fact that Putin was a career KGB agent and later headed the FSB is a valuable piece of information when looking at this question. Being cool under pressure (i.e low neuroticism), as well knowing how to manipulate and deceive others are invaluable traits to anyone working in espionage/intelligence. So one would expect these traits to have greater representation among people in these occupations.

Analysis..😂. Have you ever watched and listen to Putin talk? He is the complete opposite of what was described. In fact, he is criticized in Russia for being too soft.
What about an analysis of the psychotic neoNazis running Ukraine who started this war in 2014 when they unleashed a civil war against 1/3 of Ukraine's citizens and killed 50,000 civilians in Donbass because they refused to recognize the CIA installed coup government in Kiev?
I agree, and I had some conversations with friends and family in the past whereby I named these traits in Putin. I was not surprised that people were reluctant to agree, which unfortunately is why, I believe, that unfortunate Ukrainians had not evacuated sooner. Also, I am inclined to remember the line in the literature that says, "take note of what the narcissist accuses you of, because it will give you a very good idea of what he is planning." Thank you once again Dr Grande...
Narcissists are always projecting. Putin has been calling the Ukrainian government Nazis (the President is Jewish). It tells you enough about his own view of the world.
This is SO true. They project and accuse in advance to create cover for what they’re planning to do. This way when they get called out they’ve already muddied the waters so it sounds like a “both sides” issue when they’re the real perpetrator. Pure gaslighting.
Really enjoyed this one. My husband who is a political scientist with a focus on international affairs said you have Putin pretty well pegged. He teaches at American University. Thanks Dr. Grande we appreciate all your videos.
4:25: Small clarification on Putin's rise to power. It was not in opposition to Boris Yelstin, but in fact thanks to Yeltsin who picked Putin himself to replace him. Yeltsin's health was fast deteriorating (heavy drinking didn't help), and he was worried he and his family would have to face criminal investigations once he left power. There was also the impression that he wanted to avoid Mikhail Gorbachev's fate who was shunted from public life, held responsible for the country's collapse, and likely without much resources coming straight from USSR times (he climbed up from it eventually). It was assumed that there was some quid pro quo whereby Putin guaranteed that Yeltsin's and his family would not be subjected to criminal investigations or lawsuits after stepping down (justified or not, this is Russia). Back then, Putin was perceived in the West as a former bureaucrat whose political career was limited to Saint Petersburg in the very hectic and brutal post soviet times.
there's MUCH more to putin's rise to power than that, and much of it is highly suspicious. there is plenty of reason to suppose that putin did some ruthless strong-arming behind the scenes in order to maneuver himself into power.. people interested in details can start with a googling of the apartment building bombing of sep 9, 1999
As a beurocrat he also made millions taking government money. He was suppose to solve provision crisis that St.Petersburg was having in the early 90-s. But instead took all the money entrusted in him through the web of corruption schemes.
Also the Yeltsin family embezzled millions from the rebuilding fund when the Kremlin was being renovated. Putin assured Yeltsin that none if his family members would be prosecuted.
@@peabody3000 not only that. In Finland( on the boarder) they knew Yeltsin was a continuously drunk, it was easy for Putin to use him as he has used most of the people around him.
Where were all you people when the WMD lie was promoted? Where were you when the US illegally started wars in Iraq and Afghanistan? Or when Libya was destroyed. Anyone who believes the MSM and western governments is a fool.
I have been feeling the same! In this 21st century times it's time to ditch old world barbaric landing grabbing. The people of Ukraine were sick of it and that's why they declared independence despite the decades of being part of the USSR and as we have seen with the protests of Russian civilians they don't want to be going back down that abyss either.
Well, I don't know if it is so laughable. Many men walk around without a shirt and many women/men are attracted by that. He knows that it works for some. He also wants to show that a president can be sporty and fit and not fat and unhealthy like most of politicians in the world. Most of this propaganda is funny but all politicians do it to have a better image. Some show themselves with their families or going shopping like "normal ppl". I think this fit perfectly to his agenda and the picture he wants his folk to have of him. So why not do it.
I've wondered about Putin for a few years now. Some of the things he has done has made me wonder if his end game is not to restore Soviet Russia, but restore Czar Russia, with him as the new Czar. I have long thought he was a very dangerous man.
It is interesting that you mention that particular issue. I remember seeing an article years ago where he had this big public ceremony to remember the last Czar, Nicholas II, and his family. I might be wrong as it was some time ago. It is quite contrary to what you would think of for a communist, obviously.
Margee -- I agree with your thoughts. Vladimir Putin is an open admirer of Peter the Great, a power hungry and cruel Russian Czar that greatly expanded Russian borders, influence, and its economy. Peter the Great started the Great Northern War on February 22, 1700. It don't think it's a mere coincidence that Putin started the invasion of the Ukraine on February 22, 2022.
He has made a model for his follower Xi Jinping, maybe others from latin America to recover their communistic dream which has failed 30 years ago. Xi Jinping would follow his path to open fire between pacific ocean countries, if Putin would succeed finally. Let us see.
Refreshing to hear Dr Grande address Putin's traits. Machiavellianism seems undeniable. He doesn't seem to have the unhinged madness of the likes of Hitler but he's got a cold calculation about him, nonetheless.
He is psychopath, where Hitler is sociopathic. Also don't forget Hitler was buzzing on amphetamines...that is definitely making you impulsive and paranoid as hell.
I'd like to point out one detail about Putin, which only became apparent after his recent "peacekeeping" operation started. I find his choice of dates for both the declaration of the so called republics and his full-scale invasion of Ukraine very telling. He seems to like memorable dates - 22.02.2022 for the recognition of the breakaway republics and 24.02.2022 for the invasion. The former is a no-brainer, the second is the day after the Defender of the Fatherland Day in Russia. I think the guy wants these to look grandiose if not providential in history books. I think this might be useful in predicting some of his next moves.
Hitler wasn't really unhinged although thanks to Dr Morel he probably had amphetamine psychosis more or less constantly, and created a bizarre parallel universe where he was worshipped like a god and surrounded by sycophants. There's a fascinating book called "I knew Hitler" by Kurt Lüdecke who was one of the first Nazis and was sent to raise money from Mussolini and Henry Ford in the 1920s before Hitler turned on him and made him "special prisoner of the Fuehrer". Apparently Hitler had absolutely no problem with homosexuals and his vegetarian diet and abstinence from alcohol had a spiritual basis. He seems to have been an expert manipulator and a delusional narcissist with psychopathic tendencies.
It was stated that when Putin was in KGB training they noticed a character flaw which was that he did not know danger. When other people can recognize a dangerous situation he did not. FYI It is also been stated that he is extremely secretive. Very smart and determined, planning and scheming. Wondering if he has an adult Napoleon complex because of his small stature but he keeps himself very fit.

The key is to avoid having people like Putin ascend to power - especially unchecked power - which is why strong democratic institutions are so important.
May the solution lie in different way to chose political leadership and eventually get rid of leaders. Electing a leader on charism is as bad as starting intimacy on only physical attraction, it feels good in short term but the consequences may be unexpected.
In Stalin’s Russia in the 30s, he also had a high approval ratting - even if many of the approver’s friends, families and colleagues were accused of crimes, and executed or sent to concentration camps without trial. When the walls have ears, you always approve of someone who may be your executioner if you don’t get on board with his values.
Putin already had a high approval rating back then? So he was like Jesus. People waited just 70 years to manifest him. That's a true miracle. I had the year of Crimea being "gifted" to Ukraine off by 3 years. I remembered 1956 when in fact it happened in 1953. I remember it was when Khrushchev was the head of the Union. And was correct in this instance.. You use the internet, I take it. Just type into the browser Donbas, for example and it will bring up the info from more than one source. I would say that both of the nations, Serbs and Russians have to battle their demons, and they are : ignorance among the poor (fair part of both nations), lack of education, nepotism, corruption, slavery to the nationalistic ideas, toxic conservatism and lack of insight of the rest of the world. I am saddened because of the lack of objectivity and reason by my people. For the big part of the nation, especially in a rural and provincial areas, Putin is a hero and a force for good. I can clearly see, that he is a dictator, autocratic leader and a dangerous person. I feel pity for my idealistic, trapped in 19th century, nationalistic, uneducated, infantile fellow countryman in Serbia. Vladimir Putin is a threat for peace and civilized world. That is my strong opinion. By the way I love Russia so much and pity it for the very same reasons.
I am originally from Finland, living in the USA. After the WWII where Finland had a war with Soviet Union I knew a lot of Finns using a derogatory words in talking about Russians. I never disliked Russians, I found Finnish basic personality traits being similar to Russians. It is not the people that are bad, they lived in feodalistic society, cold, hunger, hard work for survival, being robbed from minimal survival. It is easy to control uneducated hungry country people by just giving a piece of bread that Putin has done. But they do not understand that Putin has robbed then, again, as the czars. It is not difficult to control people like that by giving them dreams of glory days, keep them uneducated, occupied by just trying to earn enough for food. Then again, certain political factions have the same ideology in the USA. People working hard at $7.25/HR wages do not have time and energy to obtain education and realize they are being used by someone else's benefits. I believe your evaluation of Serbs and Russians is quite correct. The world needs to get rid of Putin.
Dear Dr Todd Grande, thanks for your presentation. Would you like to expand your psychological profile analysis to that of other present-day political figures and leaders? Monsieur Macron, for instance, is a very peculiar character. Also Mr Joe Biden, Mr Boris Johnson and Mr Trudeau are quite interesting case-study too, in my opinion anyway. Best Wishes, Mauro

I can't say I find it all that surprising that Putin possess several of the dark triad traits. I would argue that most, if not all, people in political power do to some extent. This seeing as politics tends to be a magnet for these particular people as it fulfills their need of admiration and power. People without those traits don't tend to be as drawn to these types of careers. What I do find surprising, however, is the worlds reaction to this particular instance. Don't get me wrong, I wholeheartedly agree with peoples dismay over current events and find it just as tragic as the next person that innocent people are now being killed. This is NOT what I find surprising. But as someone who's neither Russian, Ukrainian or American (I'm Swedish) I see very little difference between this so-called "peace keeping mission" by Russia in Ukraine, and the US's "peace keeping missions" in Vietnam in the 60's, Kuwait in the 90's, Yugoslavia in the 90's, and on this side of the new millennium: Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria... well the list goes on of countries in the middle east (or in general) where the US has taken it upon them to be "peace keepers" - much to the peoples dismay in these countries. It is also no different from what China has been, and still is, doing to their neighboring regions. As well as India to Pakistan. And so on. Yet this is the only case (as far as I can recall) where people in the west, politicians and the media call out for an all out ban of anything and everything coming from the invading country, and the hatred for the people in that country is widely proclaimed. As if the Russian companies or people have anything to do with what their political leader is doing right now. Perhaps I'm wrong, but to me that just seems to be a case of "It's ok when we do it.". A mentality I sadly see a lot of today and strongly disagree with. I would argue that any and all invasions of countries by foreign powers should call for the same level of appallment. Not for the countries people or companies though as they tend to have nothing to do with it - but for the power hungry leaders of these countries. We meere mortals need to stick together because, as Jean-Paul Satre's quote goes, "When the rich wage war it's the poor who die.". One can only hope that things in this world will clam down soon so that not more innocent lives are lost.
Very well said!! As an American I personally believe this is all part of the West’s goal of appearing morally righteous. I definitely don’t condone what Putin is doing and I think it’s horrific, but for the West to rally everyone and denounce it in a way that paints Putin as simply insane is very hypocritical and misinformed. People over here seem to live in their own bubble and it’s glaring. I personally believe these world superpowers have gotten too big for their own good, and even in the United States where democracy is praised and preached, the government simply has too much power over the people and the media, to the point where citizens have been coddled and cannot see viewpoints outside of their own. They’ve been taught to think that everything the West does is justified in the name of democracy and that other countries doing the same thing is bad because of their differing political structures. I personally am looking at both Russia and the West as in the wrong here.
Putin mentioned in his invasion speech that the Americans have no right to complain given their hypocrisy, and the Russian ambassador to the UN has said the same thing. Putin said the bombing of Serbis crystallized Russian political opinion to "dont trust the west"

It is hard to admit, but if we analyze ourselves we might have a trait or two. Very interested in your ability with logical reasoning ...it seems to present a fair analysis.
@@lookingupwithwonder This is because personality traits are highly influenced by environment. And I'd say thats a relief, because narcissistic personality traits are more common than most people acknowledge (because it's not a socially desirable trait)
I have to disagree with you saying putin isn't intelligent or experienced. His position in the kgb was literally a foreign intelligence officer. I've watched many many interviews with putin, watched him have sit downs with media and people of Russia, he's very intelligent and charming. He is also very knowledgeable about other countries, no matter which one he's asked about, he can tell you everything about them. Their economy. Their culture. Their social climate. He's led for a long time, experience is not something he is lacking in. Thanks for the video Dr. Grande.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but if you can't see that Putin is intelligent then you shouldn't be surprised if people don't take your opinion seriously.
There's definitely a difference between memorizing facts and intelligence. Putin is no genius. I would bet his IQ falls around 118. Above average, sure, but not genius material.
My husband has told me that Im no longer allowed to drink ANY liquid while listening to your videos. Why? As I sipped my morning coffee, I was at the point in the video wherein the frequency at which Putin is shirtless while participating in various activities was described as a "condition" that is reminiscent of Matthew McConaughey's inability to remain fully clothed... I TRIED to contain my laughter until I could swallow my coffee - but I failed. Once again, I spat a mouthful of liquid while laughing... This was laughter was suddenly magnified by a thought that immediately crept into my mind after completing your description - the thought??? ICarly (if you're unaware it is a about a few kids who create and host their own show) one of the characters in the show named Gibby - frequently removes his shirt when some "muscle" is needed.... Gibby or when suddenly shirtless "Gibbbbbyyyyyyyy"!!!! Putin, Matthew McConaughey and Gibby - seem to share said condition; the symptoms of which manifest as this overwhelming need to provide a shirtless visual of their masculinity... Thus, my husband says that "Dr. Grande and any liquids I choose to drink have become a hazard to our computers, laptops and/or any other electronic device near me whilst listening to these videos...
I groan every time Grande makes one of his lame jokes. Then sigh when I read the comments of so many praising his attempts at humor. Followed by an audible “ really?!” when I see how he apparently reads all these comments and gives a heart to everyone who likes his humor. Random fact - The idea of Ukraine being called 'Little Russia' is an old one. The writer Nikolai Gogol, who was himself born in Ukraine, frequently calls Ukraine Little Russia, and that was back in the 1840s. Let's not forget that Belarus was historically call Belorussia, which essentially means White Russia. So, you had Russia, Little Russia and White Russia.
I’m in a neighbouring country (🇳🇴) and what happens in Ukraine is what we have all feared here too. So fed up tip-toeing around this despot. I am amazed by the bravery of Zelensky however❣️ What a man!!!!!! If Russians kills him there will be hell to pay!
@@meerkat192 Yes, I agree. Unfortunately he only understands force, he didn't learn that one gets much more with honey... If he had focused on raising the technological knowledge, education and such in Russia, the well being of his people and all that in peace with west, he had now been hero not only among his own but possibly west too. I mean if he had focused on being an exceptional peaceful leader.. Instead of forcing Ukraine, he could have tried to make it tempting for them to join Russia in some kind of union, not force to be part of it. But no.. What I have watched years and years on tv and newspapers in Finland , I have noticed him being very calculative and scheming and strategic. What worries me besides the faith of all Ukrainians, is that people turn hostile towards Russians who live in other countries and have no wish for this war or accept it. Stores not selling to Russians etc. just because they are Russians is going overboard. That kind of behavior will eventually impact to the Russians who are actually against this war and Putin and maybe turn some of them against West out of pure frustration. Though I would rather hope they got even more angry to Putin about it. This we have seen happening with other wars too that citizens of those countries become targets of harassment just because they come from that country, even though they are peaceful and totally against what happens. Like all of the sudden the neighbor you have known for 10 years became someone else because the leader they don't even support does awful things. Many Russians here have gone together with Ukrainians to the marches against the war. They also just want to live their lives in peace. And no I have no particular relations to any Russians or have close friends. I just don't like this kind of hate towards innocent people based on their nationality. If they commit crimes it is totally another matter of course. About Putin I have thought he is a psychopath for long before this happened, for example when there were some rumors about taking Finland back(my home country) and I was reading about that but also other things about Putin and other Russian politicians. My first thought then was hell no. Though I think it was more one other guy talking about it than Putin. I can't remember his name. Naturally I am now worried about it happening because Finland has been a part of Russia many times before getting independence and then giving Russia parts of Karelia in WW2 to not lose that independence. I don't know if it is luckily, but Finland doesn't have so many resources that would benefit Putin though, so it would probably cost too much for him compared to the benefits. Still it is a great worry for me. And I live in Norway which has oil and fish, both really good resources to get hands on and long border with Russia in the north, almost no guards there. So yeah who knows what Putin gets in his head next if he would happen to manage to win. Or what he has had in his head for a long time.Whatever he sees as a win because I don't think west just lets him take over Ukraine. The problem is that since he is trying to show Russians how west is against Russia, well this is kind of way of confirming that. No matter how unjustified it is , some people still think it is west turning against Russians. Especially if he has got part of Russians convinced that Ukraine is a part of Russia and was stolen by west. After the pandemic this happening when world has just recovered from another horrible thing is just brutal. But that he didn't do it during the worst lockdown when it had been easiest when world was in state of shock , makes me wonder why? He probably needed West too much to help with the pandemic. Well what if there will be another one starting right now? I don't want to paint black on the wall but we can't know when the next one hits. There has been something every three four years. Life is complicated enough without all these power hungry crazy people. My sympathies to all the Ukrainians, I am so sorry you have to experiences this horror. Same to all other victims of wars. It is horrible to have to leave behind everything you know, barely having few clothes and maybe some pictures with you, not knowing where to go or what tomorrow brings. I hope you all get to return home.
Yeah, I really love that picture of him dressed up in military garb supporting the troops. Oops, that was actually from almost over a year ago, and a bunch of sources tried to pass it off as super recent--so many fell for and did not question it. People are very easy to manipulate and propagandize.
Ya I'm amazed by Ukraine's leaders and their civilians. pretty amazing people. I love their smartness, resourcefulness, sense of humor, and determination. Glory to Ukraine
It's so painful to see what's happening in Ukraine, I have plenty of friends whose families live in bombarded areas. To oppose this dictator, Western and Central Europe, along with United States and Australia should introduce the most severe sanctions towards Russia, that are possible - as soon as possible. Too mild reactions of our leaders only enable him. Stay strong Ukrainians, hopefully some of you will find new home in my country. Love and support from Poland
They all have been sanctioning him for the past 20 years... Sanctioning again does little to nothing to him... It's just making his countrys ppl & economy down... So basically that's making innocent Russian ppl suffer only.... Nothing's happening to him... & also not to forget Russia has the most nuclear weapons in the world... World leaders fear doing something aggressive towards him fearing it might "trigger" a nuclear war in the world....

Great analysis of Vladimir Putin. He is also a 19th-20th century man, who lives in the past. Volodimir Zelensky, on the other hand is a 21st century man and from what I see is not a toxic narcissist but a healthy forward positive thinking leader. This was a good topic. All I know about Putin is from the news. I’m glad to hear your ideas on him. I thought he was smarter..until the attack on Ukraine. Now I think he looks a bit like a desperate and brutal autocratic leader who is realizing too late that he should have changed tack some time ago but is sticking to a worn out plan out of tradition…..Or maybe he just likes to make others suffer. His mask-like countenance is by turns, creepy or ridiculous. From an American woman’s perspective, I find that Putin cavorting around shirtless and acting like Rambo is so artificially done that it’s revolting.
He is not a successful statesman at all, which leads to the question of him being really so smart. He managed to ruin Russia's economy and drain its reproduction rate, so Russia is nowadays is not considered to be part of a great power concert in 21 century. At least, he managed to fill his pockets. His only way of maintaining political support is small-scale prestige and territorial gains, as he managed with Georgia, Chechnya, and Ukraine (2014). Might be that he literally now "overstepped the border".
yeah he should have stuck to the plan of the US increasing the preassure on Russia till it breaks up in small weak provinces - which has always been the American (and their allies') plan
well soon it will be difficult for him to button his shirt as the illness progresses but hell he can still send troops to kill a bunch of innocent people and do major destruction.

Beautiful architecture, lots of Russian Orthodox churches and we were escorted everywhere by a guide.

Something that I've heard a few times now is that the KGB almost didn't allow Putin to become an agent because they described him as "having a lower than average sense of danger" They thought he couldn't accurately asses how much danger he was actually in during any given situation. This makes a lot of what he's doing right now make sense to me.
Now that has very scary implications in guessing what he might do next.
Psychopaths have a muchs lesser stress level to dangerous situations -- In some program they studiet psychopaths and for instance when lifted to bengi jump
psychopaths where muchs less stressed about danger . Male or female did not matter . He might be a psychopath or some form of autism could mayby also lead
to similar behaviour . they just don´t feel the stress similar to normal people . it can be that it was not that he had lower then average sense of danger , but that he just isin´t that stressed in a dangerous situation. ,basically same but ---
They should have let him run dangerous missions would have saved a lot of folks a lot of grief.
Lower than average height too- that may explain a thing or two about his personality as well.

Personality disorder testing - definitely.
You might as well ask "why don't we just do away with corruption?"
First off, who makes the test?

😮 that last line is interesting and have so much sense
This is SO true. They project and accuse in advance to create cover for what they’re planning to do. This way when they get called out they’ve already muddied the waters so it sounds like a “both sides” issue when they’re the real perpetrator. Pure gaslighting.

Refreshing to hear Dr Grande address Putin's traits. Machiavellianism seems undeniable. He doesn't seem to have the unhinged madness of the likes of Hitler but he's got a cold calculation about him, nonetheless.
Underrated comment.
@@jamiejay5617 that keeps his legacy alive long after he's gone. That's why they do it to get in the books
FYI
It is also been stated that he is extremely secretive. Very smart and determined, planning and scheming. Wondering if he has an adult Napoleon complex because of his small stature but he keeps himself very fit.

I calculated 5 mins to find and quickly read the info on each: Crimea, Donbas/Donetsk. That's how long it took me to find the basics. I knew the general history of the area and I knew that it was all Russia so for me it was just to look up and verify finer details and make sure my memory is correct.
To determine that all three Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk were on the Russian Empire territory, then in the Soviet Union territory takes 5 mins each. If you want more detail then it will take longer.

I am Serbian. My grand/grand father was named Vladimir. Serbia and Russia are part of a broad Slavic sphere of Europe. Serbs and Russians have the same religious denomination - Orthodox Christianity, similar language, and in spite of some cultural differences, strong romantical bond is perserved, especially among Serbs. Serbians, as a much smaller nation have admired Russia since the past times and considered it as a big brother and power for good in the world.

Grande.
You're right; and this video was more hypocritical propaganda. What country has waged more war than the US in the past thirty years?

Once Zelensky is removed from power, I think it would be smarter to keep him alive.

Thank you!
They all have been sanctioning him for the past 20 years... Sanctioning again does little to nothing to him... It's just making his countrys ppl & economy down...
