    Very helpful, a couple of other videos I saw, the solar piece just happened to fit the mason jar lid, so they just had to glue it. This showed how you deal with a smaller solar piece, so thankyou

    I luv this! I'm trying this immediately!.....2 quickeeez.....wz that HOT GLUE?...& will the cardboard ring hold up outside in wet weather? r will it soften up & fall apart?🤔

    • @opengreenenergy
      @opengreenenergy  7 років тому +1

      If you want to make it water proof, better use any plastic sheet instead of cardboard.
      Hot glue is nothing but a glue stick in a heated condition.
      For more information, you can go through the link attached in description.

    Awesome project! Quick question - why do you leave the bottom of the bottle unpainted?

    • @opengreenenergy
      @opengreenenergy  7 років тому +12

      +levik1832 It just to use the jar as a flash light during emergency.

    The bottom part was not sprayed with frosted paint because it will be placed on a table? If i plan to put this outside the house like in the driveway, would it be better if i spray the bottom with frost paint or just leave it clear? Thanks

    • @opengreenenergy

      +Moon Night it's neither white not varnish, it's frosted glass paint .

  • @defamatt
    @defamatt 7 років тому +2

    You could just sand the jar instead of applying frost-paint.
    Good job anyway!

      You have to isolate the circuit from water to avoid short-circuit.
