I have been sooo impressed with these lights. Bought five last year. Figured I’d be lucky if they lasted a month. One year later, they are still going strong. Lasted through rain and sleet and -30 degree weather. Still going... WOW.
THANK YOU!!!! I've made several cute lights to use as night lights for my bathrooms. I use several across each room & hang one from a closed door in the hall near my kids' room. I have a big flower pot on the front porch (in full sun), and each morning I walk around with a DT basket and collect the light portion. then I take them outside and put them back on the "stems" that have been planted in the pot. In the evening I go out and harvest my light crop, haha! The small crackled glass jars are also super cute with the light top in them. Thanks again!!!

(They sell a small screwdriver set at the Dollar Tree in the auto aisle.) Also, in the video, I mentioned using E6000 to glue the lights in place, but instead, I would recommend using hot glue or a semi-permanent glue, so you can access the battery when it dies. You can decorate any sort of bottle, jar, or glass for your solar light with your hot glue gun. Just dribble as thin a stream as you can get from your hot gun onto the inside of your container. The result looks like cracked glass and can help to diffuse the light. If your container, or in my case, the four sided lantern light from Walmart has plain clear plastic "windows," the dribbled glue actually makes the light seem brighter because of the way the glue picks up the light and spreads it better than the tiny pin point of the single LED.

These are fantastic! Thank you! These also work great if you bring them inside when the electricity goes out. Keep them outside charging all the time, and when the lights go out, you can bring them in and have wonderful lighting!
I forgot my passion for lighting, thank you for reminding me.
Wow I never thought to use them that way. Pure genius. TFS and I will definitely be using these ideas. 👍
Thank you so much Phyllis!
It is crazy how well these fit on every glass/vase/jar at DT.... its like they knew😳🤣
Wow, what a bunch of awesome Ideas! Thanks so much!!!
I use florescent nail polish to the bulb to make them colorful the look awesome
Great ideas! I live and travel full time in my 25 foot 1994 class A motorhome with my little dog Tinkerbell filming now for a little over 2 years now. I really like some of these ideas like the 3 foot tall option and some of the littler table lighting options to light up my camp at night and look beautiful at the same time! Thank you!
The best and most mind blowing diy video!!! So easy when you are able to see the options in everyday items! Thank you for bringing light to us, the clueless’ ! 😀
Best hacks ever!! Loved them all, thanks for sharing
Saved, shared, liked, and subscribed ! Thank you.
I have drilled a small hole in the top of my mailbox and pushed the light and light casing from the solar cap into that hole. Now the light shines inside my mailbox at night to make it easier to see if I have any mail when checking after the sun goes down and no more spider surprises! Love all the other ideas on here as well!
Damnnnn I was just at DT yesterday wish I saw this before. I would have stocked up on the solar lights. How amazing. Never would have thought of this
We made hanging lights with Goodwill glass lampshades, but this opens a whole world of possibilities. Thx for sharing 🌷
Great ideas! Rather than glue, tho, I'd use caulk to keep light in place and also keep out moisture. The tube of caulk can even be purchased at Dollar Tree. I do around my windows & doors in-between seasons.
I picked these up yesterday from dollar tree needed light for yard. So glad I came across your channel. Ty so much can't wait for them to open so I can get the containers and use your brilliant ideas.
I like it its great saves energy use for out doors. cute and creative. 'Thanks for sharing
This is perfect now that summer is right around the corner and it looks like will be spending a lot of it in our backyards. 😉
Adriana Vazquez yes, exactly! Bring the camping trip to the backyard I guess LOL
Omg. I love all these ideas. I could go broke at dollar tree. I love that place.

I always look at the solar lights and pass them up. I won't next time I go to Dollar Tree, these are great ideas, they look great and are functional. I would have never thought of these. Thank you so much for sharing! 😊💟
Thank you for watching Michele!
I always try not to look at the solar lights because I CANT pass them up!🤣
I don’t understand why anyone would give this a “ thumbs down”! Great tips!
Jolly good vid.
WW Jackie I think I have an idea why, regardless of price a lot of people don’t like shopping at dollar tree because everything is from China!!!
WW Jackie because people are stupid and think they’re better than everyone else. Ha
maybe they do not like throwing away society after the light when its dead because it will end up in landfill and polluting the planet

Incredible ideas!! Oh my gosh! I am so doing these, thank you so much for sharing!!
I'm gonna try this idea with a wine bottle because I've made hobby lights in wine bottles as lamps and given them to friends and family. Thanks for the inspiration.
Love love love your ideas for the solar lights.
I have a feeling those solar lights are going to start flying out of the stores. Thanks for some great ideas
Melissa Perillo I think so too! I know I will be buying some LOL

Well if u live in Brooklyn go to 1562 Fulton st they always have a lot of solar lights!!!
They've been selling them for years now and if you don't buy them in the early spring you'll miss out by May/ June here in my area. They sell out quick!
Dollar tree lights are garbage
You can decorate any sort of bottle, jar, or glass for your solar light with your hot glue gun.
Just dribble as thin a stream as you can get from your hot gun onto the inside of your container. The result looks like cracked glass and can help to diffuse the light. If your container, or in my case, the four sided lantern light from Walmart has plain clear plastic "windows," the dribbled glue actually makes the light seem brighter because of the way the glue picks up the light and spreads it better than the tiny pin point of the single LED.
I got my solar lights at the Tree and I’m starting to solar light up my life
Love all of your ideas.
