Whist this is the last Lure Challenge, IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS ON WHAT LURES YOU WANT TO SEE 🤙 !!!LET ME KNOW!!🤙 I loved learning about the lures as we moved along!
A rod video on what to use with which techniques/lure types would be extremely helpful in my opinion. For eg: length, weight rating and taper for plastics, topwater, cranks ect.
sx40, daiwa spike, osp dunk, jackall chubby or pontoon 21 crack jack so many to choose from. Also would love to see your point of view on them and the technique you would use
It may have been done to death but the vibelicious or the zerek fish trap, different rapalas you have had success with, chatterbaits, spinnerbaits, the list is endless. Keep it coming mate 👍😁
The whole lure challenge videos were great even though I use a lot of the lures I still found something to take away and try. The black double clutch has to be my all time fav. Thanks for the time and effort to make episodes to watch . Have a great new year.
My favourite episode is definitely this one, I’ve never gone out and bought a double clutch cause I wasn’t sure if they were worth the price, but your in depth description of its action and design really got me keen to get one. I love little gadgets like moving weights and stuff as well. Love your channel and love the excitement you bring to fishing, some fishos try and hide it to look cool or something but I love your honest excitement when fishing, it’s just like me and my bro when we go fishing.
Mate glad you’re enjoying the channel buddy - yeah the little gadgets and things are awesome to look at and understand. appreciate your comment Benjamin, I’ve logged the entry buddy
The cranka crab has to be my favourite episode, it has taught me how much to slow down the retrieval and how little action I need to work the lure, many thanks.
Another great video. Love the series. Can’t say I have a favourite video. Love the double clutch lures. Have a couple in the tackle box, will be adding some osp bent minnows after watching your videos.
Great video as always. My favourites have been the bent minnow and slippery dog videos - i don't fish much on surface so getting some good information from your videos has been key.
Great way to finish the series Byron. Really enjoy the way you breakdown the technique you use - especially like the visual breakdown on the whiteboard. All good vids, but I would say I got the most out of the VX vid, recently been using the ZX variant on the YFW - picked up some extra tips and also some greater context on the "How" & "Why" of blading. Keep up the good work mate.
Awesome, thank you Paul! really happy you enjoyed the breakdown and the format. the whiteboard I think will stay, lots of good words about that. Thanks again mate
I am definitely going to get a few for flathead off my kayak you just got me pumped to go fishing love your video’s my favourite video has got to be this one because it is in full detail where, how and when to use it thanks
Very hard to nail it down mate, this series has been incredible and helped me improve more then you could imagine! I really enjoyed the bent minnow vid and the jerk bait video... these have helped me have a couple of the best sessions of my life. Looking forward to what comes next yew
Episode 8 is my favourite so far of all your lure challenge episodes. As for colour my go to is the Gold Au 75mm, I have one that’s been smashed so many times I’ve lost count it just ever reliable. Loving all the vids keep up the great work, also listened to you on Australia Lure Fishing with Doc Vinall podcast, great info again
The Zman grubs and slimswimz episode was by far my favourite; the footage, clarity, editing and simplicity of how u explained fishing the zmans was great!
Enjoyed the entire series and for someone who has thought of entering a hobie bream comp this has wet the appetite. The episode on the berkley puppydog lure was good and showed that even the lures that are cheaper also work for those starting out or budget conscious as starting out can be overwhelming and expensive if setting up a few rods, reels kayak etc. All content has been great and I look forward to viewing more. Keep up the great content.
Ben, really keen to hear your feedback. Thanks very much for it. Get involved in the bream comps when they start up again mate - One of the best decisions I ever made was to give one a go, I've met some great people and made some awesome friends.
Mate really enjoyed watching these vids i love learning how to fish new techniques. I've just recently got my first DC and after watching this episode im keen to try ya tips out up here in central coast queensland. So yer this would have to be my favorite of the series. Thanks
Awesome quality like always! Best of both worlds with videography and detail! My favourite episode will be this double clutch episode or the Daiwa top water episode too hard to choose from. Keep up the great work!
Great video again mate, this is one of my favourites simply due to you involving your child in the wonderful experience of fishing. Hats off to you for that mate. The 75's are a beast of a lure
Glad you enjoyed it Bevron, great to see you back here again buddy. Yeah the little man is loving a good fish, gets super excited when we get on the water.
This was my favourite video of the series. As I actually own a 95mm double clutch. I’m still learning new techniques and ways of using it. Got a lot of great info from this vid, and I can’t wait to get on the water and put the new techniques to the test🤙🏼
It's a little 1980's Mr Squiggle but half the time it helps me explain the stuff so I can get my head around the words. thanks for the entry and the comment

Great video Byron. I would say that this is my favourite in the lure challenge. I like the whiteboard breakdown, very informative. The Grub comparison video was another good video.
Happy new year Byron ive loved all your vids so hard to pick from but would have to say my favourite vid of yours would have to be 5 minutes of bream at the bemm.....
My favourite lure challenge video is definitely the zman grubs, purely because it’s one of my favourite soft plastic to use. I learnt a lot about the lure with your video which I have been using while fishing them!
Great stuff, Byron. Love your whiteboard work! I’ve had some good days on the Black Bream with the Double Clutch, too. Thanks for a great series. I think the Bent Minnow episode was my favourite! Cheers, and have a great 2021.
You too Mike, thanks for getting into the comments again, really appreciate the regulars on this channel! Bent minnow seems to be the popular one from the comments
@@ByronTeaHill yeah, keep doing what you do best, making the best videos with tips and how you fish each lure and then I can go and try them out myself
That's exactly how I use the double clutch my favourite one is the gold colour in the smallest size. But the slippery dog vid is my fave .. I watched, i applied and i cleaned up. Thanks mate
Like the others, yet another awesome video......well done. I personally love your approach with these videos. They're highly informative reviews with plenty of personal thoughts/opinions and scenes which demonstrate both the product features and techniques which produce results. This approach is vastly different to the scripted or advertorial reviews we often see. I'm really looking forward to more reviews in 2021.
This makes me Manny! Thanks very much for the kind words mate. Really keen to continue to share what I know and learn what I don't know and maybe bring the audience along with me. again, I appreciate the comment mate! Entry Logged

I would say the the Cranka Crab episode was the one I got the most out of being as that style of fishing is the one I struggle the most with, I reckon I watched it 5 or 6 times 🤙
Hahahahaha Daniel! Hillarious. Thanks mate, stay tuned tomorrow, we're keeping the same format but shifting the focus from lures. Glad you liked the cranka episode mate! 5 or 6 times would be enough for me! hahaha
Awsome vid. I am hanging for the next one. I look forward to it each week. Favorit vid is ecogear VX35 metal blade. It made me go out and get one to try a new technique. As i said before the double clutch is my go to prospecting lure. Always produces fish. Keep up the content i have learned heaps from ur videos and i love your passion for fishing. Its inspirational.
Thanks Nigel, it's my pleasure bringing and creating content for you guys. Really happy the VX35 vid got you doing something different - I hope it got you onto fish also! if not now, definitely during winter!
Loved the bent minnow vid learnt a fait bit off that vid. But all the vids you make a pre good and the podcast with ALF was a good listen to as well keep up the good work
Hi mate, just found this channel not long ago when I was looking into the new infeet slippery dog. Wasn’t too sure what colour to get. Was happy to know all colours are pretty good bought 4 different ones in the end. Thanks for the video.
My Pleasure mate, I definitely like the patterns with a little more of a natural feel to them, esp if they have that prawn pattern down the side. Hope they bring you heaps of fish mate!
Fantastic work really enjoying the production work on your videos. For me my favorite episode was ep5 with the Berkley hardbody, I like seeing people trying newer baits they haven't used much or at all and learning how they work, even a failure on on bait is a lesson.
Awsome video Byron. I have and love the Brown Suji Shrimp in 75 mm. Really want to try the smaller and larger sizes in bait fish colours. Really got a lot of help from your vibe review and have caught a few good fish after watching the video. Keep them coming champion. I am learning heaps. Thanks.
Really enjoyed ep6 featuring the OSP Bent Minnow - I've used it before and got discouraged so quickly on it. Since watching your vid, it gave me a bit more confidence to try them again with your tips and techniques. As always - super informative video. Thanks for all of your efforts and content mate 👌
@@ByronTeaHill Yessir...used it a few times since watching your video...used your method and got a few to swipe at it. Its part of my topwater kit now thats in my tackle backpack 😎
I'd say all of the lure epps, being still new to Bream fishing and still yer to hook 1 up. But this one is a stand out seeing the young bloke having a rippa of a time with dad out fishing. Well done Byron on another wicked vid and keep them coming mate.
Hi Byron, thanks for producing this content. I’m new to fishing and have been really impressed with the willingness of experienced anglers to share their knowledge in video format. The blend of art (local wisdom) and science in the content keeps me coming back. Would love to see some content on rod actions and how that relates to being able to better impart action to lures (e.g where a slow action might be preferred). Best wishes for 2021.
@@ByronTeaHill Being new to this, I’m soaking in content from all the vids. Have used the double clutch a couple of times ... so could relate to content... keep up the good work. Fingers crossed 🤞 for this afternoon!
G'day buddy , was a great series of videos these "how to's" , would have to say I like the OSP bent minnow one the best, no doubt will rewatch all of them for your tips and methods. Thanks again mate
I love the double clutch, especially the way they dart in shallow water. Favourite videos have been the ones on soft plastics, which have inspired me to double down and persevere (rather than just revert to my comfort zone of bait or a blade). Can't wait to see what you have planned for 2021.
My favourite of the lure videos so far has been the slippery dog 65F. Love top water, & great to see daiwa paying attention to fisho’s & making the lure come stock with the bkk assist hooks. Another great thing is if you need to change them, most tackle stores have the EXACT same bkk assist hooks for a few bucks. Keep it up mate 👍🏼
Yeah mate, I was pretty happy about that too, makes sense to me - I think Daiwa really want the lure to be versatile and hit whiting also - those smaller BKK hooks are perfect for the lure.
Another great vid Byron. It’s great to see content makers so generous with their info. 👍👍 I liked Ep5. I bought a bunch of those puppy dogs in shotgun when Anaconda had a them on special for a bit over $8. Tried them once and couldn’t cast them so they’ve stayed at the bottom of the tackle box since. You’ve inspired me to give them another go. Cheers
Loved this episode, I've got a couple double clutches in the tackle box that I haven't had the knowledge or confidence to use yet haha. Cant wait to use a few of these techniques now.
My favourite has got to be this one - Never really had much confidence in the double clutches but now can’t wait to get out and try catch some fish on it!
Sick video again mate! I honestly think every vid you’ve done on the lure challenge has been awesome really informative and helpful 💯 I loved the bent minnow episode but I’d have to go with the jerkbait one as along side surface throwing shallow running jerkbaits in between weed and sand patches is my favourite way to fish! Great stuff mate
Thanks James, Glad you liked this one too dude. Bent seems to be the popular one, curious if that is because it was topwater or for another reason. Thanks for the feedback mate! Hope to see you back soon!
Happy new year mate another awesome video. My favourite out of the series would have to be the Zman grub and slim swimz video just because there was so many helpful hints and that’s a technique I’ve been trying to get better at.
Mateeee smashed it once again. Love the double clutch and love this video. Hard to pick a favourite, so i wont but this one was super engaging and informative so it would definitely be up there.
I found the whole series fascinating to watch, from the OSP Bent Minnow which I loved to the Berkley PU and Ecogear's MW62 and even the VX35 which I haven't fished with before. I found the series to be informative, with the right mix of in studio and outdoor footage to showcase each lure and pinpoint any weaknesses it may have, if any.
Dude! That's really nice of you to say - I hope to deliver the same level of content moving into new facets of fishing, not just lures -> stay tuned, I'll launch another series in the next couple episodes
Hard to say what exactly my favourite was but I’d have to say the bent minnow video was probably my favourite, great detail as to how you work the lure and as always very well edited
My fav episode was episode 5 on cranking hardbodies. I fished soft plastics and neglected hardbodies for so long, but after learning and persisting with hardbodies, I've beat my bream pb a few times in the past 8 months or so 👍 it's really rewarding
My favorite are the lot all your videos are great for both advise and content to just sit back and enjoy and pldease continue making videos i love watching your content.
Another great video to top off a great series. It’s really tough to pick a favourite, but if I have to choose I still reckon the slippery dog episode would be my pick. Went out and bought a couple after the episode and picked up my first top water Gold Coast GT a few days later.
The blade video was my fave i think, they are all really informative. Love that you really show the techniques for all the different lures 🎣🎣 Would love to see some squid lures/techniques
As always great structured layout, and balance between content and knowledge, even i didn't know about the sliding weight. Best episode = ep7 ecogear VX35 blade, was widened my arsenal.
Hey Byron, another great informative video. Great job on the editing and combining it with the music track in particular. The drawings in your videos are really helpful too, sometimes just listening to a technique on a podcast can be lost, so love the use of the whiteboard. All the best mate, good answer on the ALF podcast for who you would most like to go fishing with 👍😅
All your videos have been great but I think this is my favourite as the double clutch suits my style of fishing although I benefited from your bent minnow video as well. Thanks.
Top stuff Byron, This video I have really enjoyed. I really appreciate how you have gone into detail sharing your tips & ideas to further help out fellow anglers. Your insite of Stiring up the dust with the double clutch which will surely help me out. We all have a selection of lures but which one do we choose, thank you again for your help, I now know which one to use. Cheers bro.
Very informative videos. I reckon my favorite will be this Daiwa Double Clutch. I've tried most of the soft plastics and now been trying to use hard bodies and I reckon that the Daiwa Double Clutch can be a versatile lure in most species of fish. Thanks for sharing your perspectives. Cheers!
Really loved this one tbh it was filled with so much content on the lure and loved to see your boy in the yak with you fishing !
My fav episode Byron - no other videos offer such insight for Daiwa DC targeting bream on UA-cam!

Andrew, thanks very much for the words mate - So tomorrow I have another video going up that you may be interested in... we will cover rod actions :)
@@ByronTeaHill Being new to this, I’m soaking in content from all the vids. Have used the double clutch a couple of times ... so could relate to content... keep up the good work. Fingers crossed 🤞 for this afternoon!
I enjoyed the slippery dog lure challenge. You gave great insight and information on how to work the lure best.
Awesome thanks Shanne
Thank's for the video and presentation of the double clutch lure in this episode 8. I'll watch the rest soon, cheers.
No Worries Richard - hope you find them entertaining
G'day buddy , was a great series of videos these "how to's" , would have to say I like the OSP bent minnow one the best, no doubt will rewatch all of them for your tips and methods. Thanks again mate
Easy Lindsay! more to come dude!
I love the double clutch, especially the way they dart in shallow water. Favourite videos have been the ones on soft plastics, which have inspired me to double down and persevere (rather than just revert to my comfort zone of bait or a blade). Can't wait to see what you have planned for 2021.
Very nice Ewan!! Thanks for commenting buddy. Laugh if you won another one!
@@ByronTeaHill That comp was obviously my favourite post of the year! I reckon I'd feel obliged to share if I got lucky again.
What a ripper vid mate my favourite one out of the series that I learnt the most from would be the bent minnow vid
Awesome Jamo! thanks for the comment!
I can’t really pick between the eco gear blade or the bent minnow video ! Watching those vids gave me the confidence I needed to go throw them 👌🏽
That's really great to hear mate, keen to hear if you've caught fish on them since seeing the video?
My favourite of the lure videos so far has been the slippery dog 65F. Love top water, & great to see daiwa paying attention to fisho’s & making the lure come stock with the bkk assist hooks. Another great thing is if you need to change them, most tackle stores have the EXACT same bkk assist hooks for a few bucks.
Keep it up mate 👍🏼
Yeah mate, I was pretty happy about that too, makes sense to me - I think Daiwa really want the lure to be versatile and hit whiting also - those smaller BKK hooks are perfect for the lure.
@@ByronTeaHill absolutely, saves the angler $ also, taking a $25 lure to $31-$32-ish dollars by time you modify it.
Your presentations are very very good I have learned so much that I have taken into my own fishing endeavours very professional work excellent.
You embarrass me Alan! humbled you like them mate, thanks for the comments
It is insane how much work you put in the editing of the video mate!
Another great vid Byron. It’s great to see content makers so generous with their info. 👍👍
I liked Ep5. I bought a bunch of those puppy dogs in shotgun when Anaconda had a them on special for a bit over $8. Tried them once and couldn’t cast them so they’ve stayed at the bottom of the tackle box since. You’ve inspired me to give them another go. Cheers
thats the biggest challenge with them Darren, they dont cast a long way. mate use the wind. they are great with the wind
Double clutch for the win!! Mean little lure would be keen to try it out!! Keep up the good work!
FTW!!!! Nice Mate, thanks for the comment buddy
Loved the OSP bent minnow episode and how you went through the different retrieves and how to use them effectively. Keep up the great videos 🙌
More to come Albert! good to see you again dude
Thanks so much mate, to you and your suppliers, such a nice bloke and gun video creator to-boot!
Thanks Rob!
Loved this episode, I've got a couple double clutches in the tackle box that I haven't had the knowledge or confidence to use yet haha. Cant wait to use a few of these techniques now.
Get into them Sam! keen to hear how you go mate
My favourite has got to be this one - Never really had much confidence in the double clutches but now can’t wait to get out and try catch some fish on it!
Brilliant - hopefully i did it justice then mate!
Osp bent minnow for me, episode was good, especially the twitch pause explanation, how the lure lays when paused sets up for a twitch, good stuff
Nice!!!!
HEY MATE CONGRATS YOU HAVE WON THE GIVEAWAY! GET IN CONTACT VIA FACEBOOK OR INSTAGRAM!
Sick video again mate! I honestly think every vid you’ve done on the lure challenge has been awesome really informative and helpful 💯
I loved the bent minnow episode but I’d have to go with the jerkbait one as along side surface throwing shallow running jerkbaits in between weed and sand patches is my favourite way to fish! Great stuff mate
Thanks James, Glad you liked this one too dude. Bent seems to be the popular one, curious if that is because it was topwater or for another reason. Thanks for the feedback mate! Hope to see you back soon!
Killers series brother! And congrats on the Aussie lure fishing podcast, was a great episode 🔥
Thanks very much buddy, privileged to get the opportunity to do that!
Happy new year mate another awesome video. My favourite out of the series would have to be the Zman grub and slim swimz video just because there was so many helpful hints and that’s a technique I’ve been trying to get better at.
That's a staple Josh, learn that and you're set! Glad you enjoyed the vid buddy and thank you for the comment
Mateeee smashed it once again. Love the double clutch and love this video. Hard to pick a favourite, so i wont but this one was super engaging and informative so it would definitely be up there.
Thanks Gibbsy, now get editting. I want to see your latest!
Loved this vid. Got a double clutch recently and can’t wait to apply these techniques. Keep up the great how to vids!
Thanks Patrick, appreciate the comment and entry buddy
I found the whole series fascinating to watch, from the OSP Bent Minnow which I loved to the Berkley PU and Ecogear's MW62 and even the VX35 which I haven't fished with before. I found the series to be informative, with the right mix of in studio and outdoor footage to showcase each lure and pinpoint any weaknesses it may have, if any.
Dude! That's really nice of you to say - I hope to deliver the same level of content moving into new facets of fishing, not just lures -> stay tuned, I'll launch another series in the next couple episodes
The infeet topwater series was my favourite. Love a great boil-up and looked like you were having a ball!
So good! Thanks Elton
Hard to say what exactly my favourite was but I’d have to say the bent minnow video was probably my favourite, great detail as to how you work the lure and as always very well edited
Thanks Lachie - Glad you're enjoying the editing - a bit of effort goes in there to make the content watchable thanks for everything.
The Diawa slippery dog episodes by far was my favourite, because it inspired me to target bream on topwater again. 🔥
Awwww yeah! mate they can be so much fun on topwater
one of my fav lures and I liked this episode the best keep up the great vids cheers
Thanks Mark. hopefully the videos are getting better and better!
Flathead head candy. One of my go to casting and trolling. Another great video
Thanks Patric! 100% candy!
My fav episode was episode 5 on cranking hardbodies. I fished soft plastics and neglected hardbodies for so long, but after learning and persisting with hardbodies, I've beat my bream pb a few times in the past 8 months or so 👍 it's really rewarding
So great mate, congrats on the PB’s buddy!
My favorite are the lot all your videos are great for both advise and content to just sit back and enjoy and pldease continue making videos i love watching your content.
Dude, that's awesome to hear mate! hopefully I keep making stuff you like dude. tight lines!
Love my Double Clutches. This one was my fav. Liked the how you shared your techniques. Keep it up!
Thank you! Will do!
Awesome vid as always! Favourite would probably be the eco gear blades!
Entered! Thanks mate, appreciate you coming back!
The slippery dog episode was my favourite mate. I loved the challenge aspect of going for a bream on each of the colours.
Was pretty nervous about that one buddy! Very nervous.
No need mate. You did very well
Another great video to top off a great series. It’s really tough to pick a favourite, but if I have to choose I still reckon the slippery dog episode would be my pick. Went out and bought a couple after the episode and picked up my first top water Gold Coast GT a few days later.
Epic Allen! That is bloody Epic! do you have a photo by any chance? I'd love to see it

I liked the bent minnow video. Lots of new tips that I’ve started using
Nice Joel! Hopefully it gets you fish mate
The blade video was my fave i think, they are all really informative. Love that you really show the techniques for all the different lures 🎣🎣
Would love to see some squid lures/techniques
That Jessica is a great idea! an awesome one
As always great structured layout, and balance between content and knowledge, even i didn't know about the sliding weight.
Best episode = ep7 ecogear VX35 blade, was widened my arsenal.
bloody brilliant Matthew - stoked you enjoyed the vx35 episode buddy and glad it added an extra method for you
My favorite was the bent minnow video but they all have been great. Keep up the good work.
I'll try mate, thanks for commenting buddy, keeps me going
Loved the vid, in fact, so much I think this is my favourite one out of the series
Thanks Jackson! Had great fun putting it together!
Hey Byron, another great informative video. Great job on the editing and combining it with the music track in particular. The drawings in your videos are really helpful too, sometimes just listening to a technique on a podcast can be lost, so love the use of the whiteboard. All the best mate, good answer on the ALF podcast for who you would most like to go fishing with 👍😅
Thanks Aaron! had a blast making the vid - I think that whiteboard has to stay. The wife mentioned did get me some brownie points! hahahaha
All your videos have been great but I think this is my favourite as the double clutch suits my style of fishing although I benefited from your bent minnow video as well. Thanks.
Great to hear Shaun! Thanks for the comment and info buddy
New to your channel mate so this episode is my favourite currently. I will be going back to view your previous uploads though for sure 👍
Luke! Legend! Mate some are pretty raw, but thanks in advance buddy! Hope you’re having a cracking week mate
Definitely episode 8, who doesn't love the
Double Clutch 👍awesome video mate.
Nice! Thanks for the comment
Love the bent minno vid got a lot of tips out of it and this one as well keep it up mate !!
Thanks Chris! will do man
Top stuff Byron, This video I have really enjoyed. I really appreciate how you have gone into detail sharing your tips & ideas to further help out fellow anglers. Your insite of Stiring up the dust with the double clutch which will surely help me out. We all have a selection of lures but which one do we choose, thank you again for your help, I now know which one to use. Cheers bro.
My pleasure Jed, hope you get something out of the videos buddy! Really glad to help.
The bent minnow was a great video! One of my go to top waters!
Cheers!
More than happy to share R.J. Jocson! hopefully you found it entertaining!
Another great vid mate, this would have to be the best, as as I said last time the Diawa Double Clutch is the best lure in the world, cheers Mick
Thanks Mick! Entry logged
