I think Middle Ground has lost the plot. It was originally a series about bringing together people who disagreed on important topics and elegantly facilitated to try to find common ground using principals of radical empathy. Now its click bait where they bring polarizing influencers who are not motivated to find common ground or humanize their positions or those of the other cast members, but stay rigid in their beliefs because of branding. I was hopeful when they brought in moderators but if they cant help cast members be respectful and kind to one another what's their purpose?
Agree. Let's showcase HOW to find middle grounds and have productive conversations. Highlighting the skills needed because we have lost the humanness in disagreement. This panel unfortunately just highlighted how proud both parties are and so little "I hear and see you, I disagree because of XYZ". How can we teach and model some humility?
however, this represents the two sides. i live in seattle. trust me when i say democrats have destroyed this place -- and portland. Agree. Johnny (ex-convict turned pastor in the christianity one) shared how they would intentionally stop actual discussions to stir the pot more to get arguments and emotional outbursts. Clearly "middle ground" isnt the goal anymore and just whatever brings in more views and comments. Unsubbed.
Really poor moderator. Letting that blue suit guy make nasty comments for no reason and not saying anything speaks to his inability to understand when a debate has turned into an argument
One of the best political ideas spoken by a person in our local news paper was this: “ “people tend to blame our government for everything.” He interviewed a family that said they barely made ends meet during the Biden administration but went on to say they barely made ends meet during the Troop administration as well. He said there are those that do not try to better themselves by working hard, getting themselves educated, those that accept minimum wage jobs and are happy to accept any government handouts they can get. While there are of course many who cannot physically or mentally better themselves, that really do need assistance there are many that just want to blame the government for their problems.
Jubilee has to do a better job of vetting their participants. Some of these people lack the necessary maturity to hold an adult conversation and react in a respectable manner.
Embarrassing moderation. Letting people drop slurs and take shots at the non-binary participant only to finally then step in when half the panel is calling out one of the republicans for playing a character? You clearly recognize it's a bad word because you bleeped it, but didn't even bother to call him out for using it and make it clear that was unacceptable? It just shifts the tone/content of the entire interaction to be more toxic by not calling that guy out. Proper moderation should prioritize keeping things civil AS WELL as sticking to the prompts.

Nah. Because that would contribute to a spoon fed narrative. And too many people are too lazy to think for themselves.
@@DreGamer I get what you're trying to say, but how's that any different from just reading it? It creates the same narrative, because the person editing these fact checks in obviously words it either in favor or not in favor. I'm pretty indifferent about color, but I can see how it would make the conversation more fluid because you wouldn't have to pause to read 4 lines of text and miss everything the person has to say in the meantime. If you can perfectly read the text coherently while understanding everything that is being said during it more power to you.
@@Tenseiken_ the difference is keeping the color neutral is likely going to make people pause it and read the information for themselves instead of just going off of the color. If the viewers are more interested in the subject, they can look into it and draw their own conclusions. There has already been issues in general with “fact checkers” mostly just giving their opinions. Jubilee is already doing a very difficult job by at least trying to appear neutral even though they are based in SoCal. Let’s not encourage them to have any appearance of swaying the audience one way or another. The guests are the ones who should present their arguments, while Jubilee is just a platform where the guests can be heard, and the audience decides who they agree or disagree with.

Yeah people jump on the new topic like sharks on blood. Then it was Joe Biden stepping down (no one talking about it and no one knows if he is even alive). The new hot topic is Kamala running and being slightly ahead in the polls and that might change in a few weeks again.
They're talking about it on this episode 2 weeks after it happened, and approaching 3rd week with AP is still releasing daily articles on it. I'd venture to say that maybe your news isn't talking about it anymore. There are some non-bias channels for information, and keep it 100. "...I'm well known..." is crazy. She lost my respect immediately. I tried my best not to tune her out for the rest of the conversation, which was already insufferable frfr...
1:59 the way she said it was just awful
The way she says "I do common sense takes, okay? like she's talking to a toddler only 2min into the video lmao
@@xXMo3tXx if you have to announce that you do common sense takes, I automatically don't believe you
I skipped this part, read your comment and knew immidiately who you were talking about. Hope she sees this and takes some time to reflect on how she is perceived with that voice.
Its amazing to me how important she thinks she is. I found it impossible to listen to her because she lost my respect immediately from that point.
I just saw the comment that Veterans have a whole month. What month is for Veterans? We have Memorial day for all those who paid the ultimate price. We have veterans day to celebrate all those who are still with us.
I was wondering when is this Veterans month I've been missing.
