Can you comment on your rings joist attachment? I think that is my biggest concern with certain progressions.

how often should i do this routine
    for sets of 5 each

    • @americangymnast

+GamingLoadown101 Starting off, do it at least 3 times a week with any other training you do. It takes time for your body to get acclimated to ring strength training. Once you get comfortable with the basics, check out my video with 80 ring strength exercises and start to work in some of those exercises.

I have several people who want to learn gymnastics moves, but don't have much success even with simple things like the L-sit. Where I come from, L-sit is the foundation of all that follows, and it can't be avoided. Un-diplomatic person that I am, I think these fellows are simply too fat, and extra weight doesn't help in gymnastics. I asked GMB Fitness, and he more or less said the same thing. My guess is that there could well be a progression they could follow, as long as it's understood that the weight has to come off eventually for real progress to happen. What's your take on chubby progressions? Do you get this problem at all?

They should focus on strength building and flexibility first.
As they lose the extra weight, everything becomes possible.
Maybe start on paralettes and do calisthenics to lose weight.
