During quarantine I invested in a pair of gymnastic ring's and I'm very proud I did as it could be one of my best purchases I've ever made. I find it amazing for upper body development due to the versatility and the difficulty of the exercises. Not only have I seen noticeable improvements in my physique but it's also strengthened my joint's and tendons so I feel much less vulnerable to injury. I'm thinking of sticking with calisthenics for the foreseeable future and may get a weighted vest so I can still get the same benefit from weight training. It seems to be the way forward for health and longevity.

Tao, I just want to say thank you and some more.
I just got my brand new 1.1 inch rings (I noticed that there were different sized so I looked it up and turns out that's what the real olympic athletes use because it's the international gymnastics standard apparently) home today that I ordered from Amazon and I was doing the movements you showed in the air just pretending to train that muscle memory.
I wrote down a whole page of notes for the workout summary with little comments and notes on the things you mentioned in the video like how to progress everything for maximum improvement in the shortest possible time.
I'm going to stick to 2-3 to start off with and possibly, even more, depending on how my body feels.
For anyone else reading this looking to do this (calisthenics a.k.a. body weight training) I'm gonna share some stuff I've learned now so that you don't have to waste time looking it up yourself.
First of all, before anything else, nothing of this matters at all if you hurt yourself during exercise.
So you wanna do the right thing and always look up how to warm up properly before doing any kind of physical strain on your body or you WILL end up like everyone else who didn't warm up before that workout that they'll never forget.
They didn't warm up every single work out and ended up tearing something like a bicep that will look horrible (warning don't google it if you're easily discouraged from working out.
Not warming up WILL permanently hurt you for the rest of your life.
Now I haven't hurt myself thank goodness but I have mad respect for the people who have basically sacrificed themselves to teach us what we can be wise to learn from them.
SO WARM UP. And if you don't know how to warm up, Google/UA-cam search it UNTIL YOU DO.
That's all buddy's out there. Take care guys and girls.
Also by the way, shameless plug here: I recommend you get into music of some kind, it's like working out the brain. I make music and post it + it's really fun.

I bought rings yesterday and I loved them. They are so versatile, not sure why so few people talk about them. The whole opper body can be trained with them alone.
I can do atleast 10 full dips on parallel bars but the stability required on rings was interesting. I was shaking like crazy. 😀

I appreciate this as I can use it to gain strength faster and develop this to work into pull ups. I will add this at the end of my regular workout routines. I will try for 3 days a week. Good instruction and ideas. I use the rings on my doorway pull-up bar.

Really glad I came across your channel, really great instructional detail on each of the movements/techniques.
I’ll be watching this over and over just to keep on making sure I’m getting each one right.

This is perfect! I have been looking for a beginner ring exercise that didn't just give you the option for standard support position because my chest kept popping and causing me pain. I think doing the easy support and ring pushups will be a solid way for me to transition from regular pushups to using the rings without this damn popping. Thanks for the tips! Subscribed!

This is a really nice, straightforward and detailed explanation of how to begin but also intensify. Saving this one. The rings are awesome and offer a really complete bodyweight workout. Nice job!

This video made me buy a pair of rings and I just finished my first session of the rings using your "Learn the Basics on Gymnastics" video. Thanks a ton Muchacho for introducing me to this equipment by selling it correctly. I had a great time with it. Keep posting the cool ring workout programme videos in ur awesome locations!✌️😊

@John Doe I just had like 5 sessions on the rings and I'm actually thinking of saying good buy to the gym.
Gym has always my priority for years. But what I love about the rings is the intensity.
Earlier I thought rings are only for flexibility but man, I felt the blood pumping though my muscles and could feel the specific parts of the body getting activated.
Plus, it makes my mobility so much better compared to the gym. Coz workout on the rings also works like stretching.

    • @ArunGuna
      @ArunGuna 4 роки тому

@John Doe yes bro, they are jacket up and also functional 😊✌️. I can feel that after my routine when I breathe.
The only downside (I don't know much, just my current opinion) of the rings is that we don't find enough tutorials on ring training routine. At least for muscle building through rings (there is BodyByRings but not everybody can afford a paid programme).
I have been looking up on muscle building programmes for more than 10 years, Tao Physique is the first one I saw stressing the equipment properly.
