I love that B-series in your country are that cheap it's fun to build and do project cars, Here in the Phillipines it's hard to build, because the B-series engines are ranging from 3,000-10,000 USD it's awful.
They're normally not that cheap, that's why I drove into a sketchy neighborhood at night; it was that good of a deal. Seller claimed it was from a smashed car, he seemed like a decent guy, but OTOH there are no vin tags on the engine or trans, so who knows.
I"ve hauled several transmissions in my Insight! I made sure to take out the rear interior, I haven't bothered putting it back since I'm always hauling parts long distances lol
Watching this video is giving me warm and fuzzies for my 98 Prelude (H22A) 5 speed and 05 TSX (K24) 6 speed. Especially with the Prelude, that VTEC switchover at 5200 RPM was like a switch being flipped, and oh the sound it made, especially with a cold air intake and header. The TSX had iVTEC - adjusting cam gear - that smoothed out the VTEC transition. After a Hondata reflash, the switch happened at 5K rpm and still gave a lovely sound.
I mean...is it really Honda life if it doesn't involve a bit of sketchy shizz?!?
Almost always
Cool story with a cool motor. You risked being robbed or stabbed for doing the deed on the lowdown. Lol.
#worthit
honda life is a bout evryday regular working dude that just wanna have fun

B16 with transmission is more like 7000 now it’s impossible to see it lower than that
Maybe if it's all 100% fresh, rebuilt.
Hell teah

Nice pickup, i seen this listing as well! I was intrigued but didnt want to waste a 2 1/2 hour trip from Indiana. Excited to see it go in
So geeked! Can't wait to chuck the D16 into the bin.

Yeah I get I vtec is “better” but the abrupt snap is so cool
weird question but roughly how heavy was the engine? was it hard to manoeuvre in/out of your car?
Loaded and unloaded w 2 guys
It’s a shame those gold bbs wheels are just sitting on the wall, those definitely deserve to be on a sweet car
Sold them, they were ARE 398s, in some dumb 5x114 bolt pattern. Cool wheels tho!
@@ADDvanced ahh, I thought they were bbs rs wheels
@@soren_prod Close copies! I have a video comparing one to a real BBS, they're very hard to tell unless they are next to each other.
