Good call I’ve had my 2016 red D4 8 speed auto with winter pack for 6 years and love it. Polestar optimised 60mpg 0-60 under 7 seconds. Free satnav updates from Volvo too! Enjoy
I want to ask you something.Ihave the same car but I don't have the front fog lights down to the bumper.I wonder if there is a button-swich in the interior of the car if I decide to put front fog lights .From where do you turn on the fron fog lights??
Just about to get a 2012 “lesser diesel engine “ but still will be more comfortable than my AYGO FOR MY ADVANCING YEARS. Not too sure about all the controls but hopefully it’ll cope with its already 136,000 miles well. I’ll let you know how it goes.
My wife drive since 6 years a XC 60 D5 and I bought 2 weeks ago my second car, a....petrol V40 T2 ( the same like in link). 30000 km from 2019 momentum, exactly like in the link. ua-cam.com/video/Z4fxkwTlfdM/v-deo.html From Volvo service in Hamburg, price 17600€. The car is exactly what I need, the 2ltr engine has best torque between 1100-3500!and by 3500 I drive 170 km/h. The difference between T3 and T2 is very small. The T2 is a T3 with blockade in the Software and the difference on the street is really minimal, only by high speed. The T4 is a perfectly car, but costs a lot more and I fand very few offers, bad offers with 70000 km and more. The T2 drives a little like D3, possibly better, really. It consumes 6 liters with normal driving and 7 with a sporty driving style. Is very...not mega elastic, you can change gears whenever you want.
I have owned a 2014 V40 T5 Cross Country since new here on the island of Phuket in SW Thailand. Now 9 years latter and with only 37,000km….. I have no plans of ever selling.
Sits on a ford platform, and a ford ecoboom engine in the line up, and those rear lights look close to those used on later focus models, car even designed externally by a ford engineer so how much is it a volvo ?
OK you've done an excellent job of convincing me that this is the ultimate hatchback car to purchase. Not sure about all of the technical bits but what a car. I was going to buy the Audi a3 but this car is far superior in many ways and cheaper on the used car market by age alone. Thank you so much for this brilliant review despite me only just viewing it, although I have seen some of your reviews before and as always very entertaining and more importantly informative.
honda, youre having a laugh, after the vw golf, bmw 1 series and renault megane rs, still not a honda civic. Japanese cars never handle well, they're reliable, good and basic cars, handling and driver feel would always be in the hands of the germans mate
The halogen lights are very costly with high voltage power supplies required. I would expect the upgrade cost with wire harnesses would be cost prohibitive
Own T4 AWD, and I have zero regrets about buying it. It has character, good looking and fun to drive
Best v40 review on UA-cam I've seen. You prepared well and knew all the facts!
wow appreciate that!
with how modern cars are now all touchscreen. all those buttons are actually much appreciated 😄😄

Terrific review thanks. I test drove a 2017 D4 yesterday and your review clinched the deal for me. You deserve more thumbs up and subscribers!👍
Appreciate that thank you!

This is the best review of the car on youtube so far. I own the T5 AWD CC.
You deserve more views.
Wow really appreciate that we put a lot of work into our scripts.
@@CarandDrivingCarReviews it's evident.
Whats your real world fuel consumption on the T5?

Went for the '14 D3 5cy hope I don't regret. Great reviews of the cars features.
How is it? I might be going for one
The 5cy is the best engine

I love the Good Life reference here
Thats a grest car. As usual the most thorough review on UA-cam, thanks !
I have it and it’s amazing
Thanks for a well-detailed review. does this mean the D4 diesel variant is better than the petrol variants T2 and T3? thanks
Hi there, yes we’d choose the D4

The T5 requires regular motor mount replacement. Also it seems to require battery replacement every two years. On our 3rd battery

I'm 40 this year and I needed this haha
I really like this car😊
I rather take this over any BMW or Mercedes with proper care taken on the interior as well!
How does the height feel? Too low?
I just got a 2nd hand 2014 top of the range r design t5, all specced upwith packages, and I don’t know how to use the bells and whistles
Avg fuel consumption on the T5?
Well informed review. Beautiful looking car.
Thanks for watching

Best review all points well pointed out..❤
Glad you liked it!

Did you buy it? I wanna buy this too, if i buy it, it will be my first car, i’m not sure yet
I just got a jdm v40 t4 with everything on it half the price of what’s charged
Getting T5 V40 XC soon!! 😅
Is this the cross country?
No
It won't make 70 mpg if you sprint from 0-62 mph in 7,4 seconds every day,
"Best handling family hatchback on the planet" is Honda Civic... not Ford Focus. Not to mention about Focus "reliability".

Why can't I have the halogen front lamps fitted after market according to volvo,! and its dealers,?how stupid is that?Gef.

@@glenmcneill1675 yeah same what I heard from my dealer
