ChromaGlow in insane!!! It's the first thing you need to try on drums or vocals or literally anythings. sounds so good!!!
Tried it out just now, sounds really good. It's like a free version of Fabfilter Saturn 2, I had the trial of Saturn 2 and Chromaglow sounds pretty similar.
It is very nice. Can slim down my saturation plugin collection quite a bit now :)
stem splitter and chroma glow is all I need baby, greatest splitter I've ever touched
The quality on this one is nice. It keeps the reverb on the vocals and the drums separation and sound is some of the best among all the splitters on the market

Congrats and enjoy the new Mac. You going to notice a huge leap in performance. These M chips are next level and when coming from intel you notice how big the jump in performance is. Plus you’ll be able to take advantage of some of the new logic features that are for M powered computers only

I agree, these updates are great but visual upgrades and upgrades to the instruments and imporving the browser/feel of how the mixer and effects look to compete with abelton
Looking forward to deep dive into ChromaGlow! Was looking for a saturation plugin myself and currently half way through the decapitator free trial!
You may not need it with ChromaGlow. I know decapitator has a distinct sound but chromaglow is really nice.

Yes it works on the desktop version as well. Just wanted to bounce back between the two versions. I should have mentioned that in the video
Wait this was the big new logic 11 ? Those new additions are not massive enough and should have been another logic x dlc. I never would have thought this was a new version.
That was my first thought as well. I feel it needs a bit more especially since Logic 11 has been along time coming. Feels more like an incremental update with some great additions. But the good news is that 11 is a free update which means anything that apple brings to future updates will be free since I’d imagine we’ll be ok version 11 for some time now.
@@imamusicmogul yeah I agree. I feel apple is now in this ecosystem of less flashy more cohesion across products especially for how logic is moving forward. Maybe a ui update with some controls to change it like ableton and protools but maybe it’s a later update.
Imo it feels rushed out the door and aesthetics for a new make over or big promotion push like here guys. This is logic 11!! Was completely side stepped and could be due to the work on the iPad version. I’d love it if they came with the visuals of the iPad version.
@@imamusicmogulit’s not really a free update in the grand scheme of things. You have to upgrade ya Mac to the M chips to enable the stem splitter which is a joke! I guess it must be powerful than ozone or waves plugins.

@@YattirSmithyeah but my point is if you had purchased a top spec Apple Mac computer in early 2020 say for £3k it won’t be able to update for the new Logic Pro features in 2024. Apple purposefully doing this so peeps feel they have to upgrade their computer. This stem splitter is not more powerful than UAD plugins that run perfectly fine on Intel Macs.

That stem splitter is a game changer… giving Serato Sample a run for its money with that. But that session bass cant fuck wit the Rickenbacker lol I see what they tryna do.

I do not have an Instrument Output option on my copy of Logic Pro 11. Setup same 2 tracks as your example and on 2nd track went to Internal Midi In and a=]I just got Instrument input, no output option.
Was there another configuration or setting ot enable?
Most likely the instrument itself is not setup to output MIDI. For some reason I get the same thing when using Kontakt 7 but Komplete Kontrol works as well as other instruments with MIDI output

Just remember that you will always have to have a Mac to use it, will would turn many people off. But if you look for refurbished models or B-stock of one or two gens ago, you'll always get good deals for the hardware and software you get, so if you're fine with being locked to macOS, I can fully recommend it. I also think it looks a lot nicer than FL lmao
I’m bias to logic but I would go Logic. The mixing and recording is so much better in Logic than FL. FL has some cool midi features but when it comes to everything else and the stock content Logic wins everytime
How do you access stem splitter on the MacBook? I’ve tried right clicking, menu diving but nothing? It’s not even listed in the help yet
Stem splitter requires M based mac silicon. If your running intel then you won’t have that option
@@imamusicmogul how sad. Apple exclusive club strikes again, you’re only invited if you can afford to spend thousands on the latest Mac. I have tested FL Studio stem splitter and Serrato Sample and they didn’t need M technology. I guess I have to switch from Logic as my financial status is not worthy
@@imamusicmogul For stem splitter, you mentioned it works on finished music - does this include downloaded music from say Apple Music or other streaming sources? I’m guessing no if it’s copyrighted or digitally protected

I have updated the latest logic pro, but my iPad Pro, which is 12.9-inch in size and the third generation, obviously has a lot of difficulty running the latest version. However, it does not support AI tools for voice separation, which is unexpected. I have a friend who said that as long as the iPad supports logic pro, it will be supported. However, I checked it today and found that it does not support the Apple AI voice separation tool, which I am very sad about 😢😢😢
Yes some of the new ai utilized the M-series chips so unfortunately some function will not work on not M base machines. The same goes for non M chips Mac’s

As you mentioned, Intel chips on Mac cannot support Apple's latest AI function, only M-series chips can support it. However, my iPad can use all other functions and plugins except for the AI function. However, I have some very good separation software, such as the RX9 on my computer, which is a separation tool I have been using. However, sometimes I also find some voices that have been sorted out on UA-cam to use, but this time Apple decisively won it out. Intel also has A-series chips, which is really unexpected!😭😭😭

Yes it can be found under distortion. Keep in mind it also requires an M series Mac
I've dragged in different mp3/wav files on the desktop version, but the stem splitter option is greyed out saying no valid audio region is selected even though it is. Any idea what the problem could be?
Stem splitter requires m series powered Mac’s and iPads. If you running intel or non m powered iPad it will not have that feature unfortunately
@@imamusicmogul I have the M1 chip and was using Ventura 13.6. But I figured it I guess.. kinda went crazy about it and wiped everything off my computer, once I reinstalled everything and forced myself up to upgrade to the current OS it worked for some reason. I have no idea what the problem was.

It’s Logic Pro 2 for iPad. But Apple is calling it Logic Pro for iPad 2. It is a little confusing. If you want to take advantage of all Logic Pro features make sure to get an iPad with an M series chip. The new airs are good and of course the previous and new gen pros as well

Is it possible to use midi chords as a global track (source) for creating new AI bass player line? I tried to convert midi to AI keyboard player and it was a mess. I ask about it because you created AI keyboard track from the AI bass player track but not from the midi track.
I corrected global chords manually, according to previously played midi chords and then created bass player. This is working but to tell the truth the level of bass line (I tried at least all presets) is not good enough. It can be used as good starting point for sure but not the final product. This is only my thoughts. I’m sure you can make a good example of professionally sounding track using that new features.
When they let Step Sequencer show the actual name of the sound instead of the note. that will be the day
where is the chromaglow plugin? and how do you see the chord map with loops im not seeing it
ChromaGlow is under distortion. For the loops, make sure that you downloaded all the new content for Logic Pro 11

Great video! Really enjoyed it. Looks like Apple targeted most of the updates to none players. I prefer that they don’t move things around for efficiency sake. However, anything that starts playing itself is now in “Band in a Box” Territory, stem separation is touching on DJ territory and it’s nothing new Izotope and reaper has had it for years, Akai has it Moises has it for free. On the iPad going to a subscription based app is a real turn off and since the Logic for iPad lacks so many pro features it should not be called “PRO” I would have liked that Logic 11 had new FX plugins and maybe some new instruments, a way to do things with less clicks. Hmmmmm it seems Apple keeps dropping the ball and it stopped innovating. Don’t get me wrong I love Logic Pro X and is all I use since it came out. However, the iPad version falls short. The update should have added a Takes Folder and other features that pros use. Apple is targeting none players and Logic on the iPad is more like Garage Band on steroids. Not to mention the subscription based thing is horrible. On the iPad I prefer to use Cubasis or Multitrack Daw. No subscriptions they are solid and I do t need the latest iPad to use them.

Both those features require m series Mac and iPad. That may be the reason why it is not showing up for you

@@drewsmudemyoozik just reset your page. I didn’t show up for a meeting either but i just refreshed the page and it popped up in my updates. I dont know how you can refresh your page on ipad but for macbook is command + r

Scale highlight would be clutch. We have a way to do it now but it’s not as easy as other DAWs and requires more work

Yes you can convert the session player audio to midi to apply to other instruments

No plugin search, stem search, and file management is not that good. Also, the piano needs to be updated, and other things need to be updated.
I think the next update will bring some of that stuff. Hoping for some more midi tools like ghost notes in the next update

No Midi learn and no midi mapping. Huge disappointment for Logic Pro for IPad. Hopefully, they make this happen soon.

I think feature likes ghost notes, proper scale lock and other will be coming in future updates. It has to as Live also got some crazy upgrades to their piano roll.

For the most part it’s been stable but has been crashing a lot more than previous version. But the crashes is consistent. Sometimes I hit command e by accident and I noticed it crashes logic sometimes. Is it consistent for you? Or random?

My bad. The quality is actually really good and on par with the premiums stem splitters in the market. I was particularly surprised about the vocals stem as it kept the reverb tails as well or it least as best it could. It’s pretty impressive

At first glance it doesn’t seem like a big one but Once you start using it you will enjoy it
I’m still going to use it since I am a long time logic user, but there are so many little things they could have done to sped up workflow that to me are more important than what there claiming is AI , but is it really.
Just happy that my plugins still work.

Please go to logics feedback page and request what you would like to be added , hopefully if they get bombarded by users complaining, they may do something.
