Its crazy how little mixing can change the whole beat. And Simon is not only a great producer but also a great mixing engineer. Great video
Mixing is not hard but it becomes hard if u need to mix very bad quality samples or trackouts.
Getting better at mixing is finding intention. Notice the questions he asks the producers each time. He wants to execute on an intention and boom, mixed.
The process of mixing is easy really. At least when it comes to a decent basic mix. Some people forget that the process starts from the selection of sounds and thats probably the most important part. Some sounds simply cant be mixed together.
