Ive just got round to updating - and wow! Just revisited some old tracks and added new session musicians and wow - pretty mind blowing at what the session musicians created. Lots of fun to be had here, what a great update
Today was like the Christmas that came late afternoon! I needed stem separating for an upcoming project plus all the other great features we got today!. Thanks for your tutorials!

Just migrated from Cubasis to LogicPro. The DAW is absolutely great and no doubt the best option for mobile... it's the closest from a professional desktop DAW at the moment. I just hope WAVES and other plugin developers release more mobile versions for the best plugins out there.
I love it too, coming from FL mobile which was terrible. Crashing constantly and still felt mobile. I got the Magic Keyboard for my m4 pro and it feels just like a desktop version with all keyboard shortcuts working
you're thinking of Cubasis 3..sadly not at present...A basic ommision and the only reason i'm reluctantly continuing with LP4iPad2 (I have a 3rd Gen Pro, and latest bloatware crashed after producing 6x (6!!) tracks). So disappointing..
The audio coming from my studio monitors certainly sounds impressive!!! It looks like this (long overdue) update is packed with very usable new features. Don't think I will be subscribing to the iPad version though. Thanks once again for a ver informative video.
Really interested to hear how it runs on 10th gen (though obviously 8th and 9th will give some indication). I’m about to upgrade and will probably not use logic much but don’t think I can justify more than an 10th gen.
Hi, could someone tell me in simple terms how to record guitars through a usb c interface into ipad pro, i can’t hear anything through my headphones, or is it not really meant for that ..
I’d need more info about your setup really. I have e a video that shows how to get set up here: ua-cam.com/video/cGvSu8SggSQ/v-deo.htmlsi=Yaqucj1TfE76JLWJ
@@TheLogicProGuide i watched that video, i can work Garageband fine, but i’m lost with Logic Pro, i have a Scarlett interface, connected to my ipad pro via usb c which works fine, i made a new project and lay down a badic drum track but when i try and record a guitar track i can’t figure out how to set up the guitar amp sims etc so i can actually hear them through my headphones connected to the Scarlett, maybe i’m not explaining it very well
These new major features are great, but I’m really disappointed that they weren’t accompanies with some quality of life minor improvements. Given the update history it looks like we’ll be waiting another 6 months before we see any too. Logic Pro for iPad is begging for MIDI learn so we can use knobs and sliders on USB and Bluetooth MIDI controllers. Being able to save and export individual audio regions would be very useful too.
I think you can open the vocal track recording in the flex pitch and then convert to midi and you can use that on a instrument track. might be other ways to do it do too.
There is an app called “midi guitar 2” that can do this. It’s deigned for guitar but takes any signal and converts it live. It’s also been updated to Auv3 so I’d assume could be used in a signal chain with auto tune. In need to give it a try, haven’t used it since it’s been updated
Can you drag chords from the chord track to individual tracks and have it turn to midi data like in Cubase or are you limited just to convert the session player data to midi ? Also found a bug with the chord track menu when it wont stay open!
I also wish Apple would have added MIDI Learn with external MIDI controllers. This would be helpful especially for transport, cycle, and mixing controls at a minimum. Cubasis has had this for a long time. I recently purchased a Nektar lx88+, which worked well with Logic Pro on the Mac. But I am trying to transition to all iPad for my music production. All the hardware buttons and faders are useless with Logic Pro for iPad.
Don’t mean to be a downer but these are pretty novel features compared to some glaring stuff they haven’t addressed. Audio editing still sucks- there’s so many other trackers out there that handle midi with tons of generative tools. Koala sampler has stem separation and can be run inside of logic as a sampler.
I still need flex pitch….. otherwise i can not use it for vocal editing. Yes i can buy an 20 euro plugin for that that does the same. But why shoukd i pay when logic pro could have it. so iam still forced to use the mac version for music. Basically for vocals editing logic pro for ipad is still garbage. Apple waited too long to release Logic on the iPad and I was so exited it came out but in my opinion it falls short and the only thing new that it brought to Logic was a subscription based app. Very disappointing not just to me but to a lot of people. I just think that these are the things that dum down music creation and it could hurt more music learning. Why not come up with your own cool base lines or some fresh chord progressions and voicings? Is like using AI to write a novel or using AI to do a painting. By adding these features instead of actually adding pro features it becomes more of an app for Amateurs which is cool. Another thing is that it will not run on all iPads and certain features will not run unless you have the latest chip all that with the subscription based model is a turn off. So with the $5 per month logic (no pun intended) is it cheap enough? Sure! But now we have to buy an $800 iPad to run all the features so it just doesn’t make sense for some people.
