Apparently I've seen these cards so much that not even once did I even notice that I couldn't read them or see the stack on the side. No surprises. This meta sucks.
You don't need this or any top tier deck to make mythic. I made mythic this bo1 season from silver using a F2P budget non-meta deck of my own nobody is playing anything close to. Entered mythic at 91%, clawed up to 94%... and then fell to 80%. It's a "surprise" deck, would probably suck in bo3 (might also not work as well against anyone who remembered playing me previously, even without sideboard). Also I built an orzhov deck that destroys this deck most of the time, and other decks revolving around grave or etb effects. Feels good and I think it's in a very good place in the meta atm. Tons of removal and lifegain. And your favorite card, Dawn of hope. 😉

Like rock, paper, scissor.
Having your camera overlay on the right where it overlaps the played cards is really annoying. EDIT: Damit CGB, apology accepted! Happy memorial day to you guys over there!
I feel like at least running 2 omen of the forge instead of like for example 1 elspeth and 1 birth would make this deck even better for Bo1. Deals with turn 1 fox (if you’re on the play), is very good against Lurrus and mono red because of it being repeatable and isn’t the worst against planeswalkers to finish like a narset or teferi. Otherwise the deck seems perfect for Bo1
Hm guess i can see why some run merriment since it can get you if for some reason all your Aot is not enough or just didnt draw luca. Lifelink and unlimited chump block is decent.
I tried this deck to get into Mythic, went like 1-3 with it. Used Yorion Elementals and got to Mythic. The deck is good, but if everyone expects it, they can play decks to counter it and ruin you.
You have four creatures in the entire 80 card deck, if you had shark tycoon and played it as an enchantment although it’s a high CMC, It would be worth it by getting shark after shark after shark, provided is not removed of course
Wasn't his point cutting typhoon because of the very aggressive meta in BO1? Sure, casting shark typhoon gives you a lot of value, but if you can get away with casting a six mana enchantment which does nothing the turn you cast it, chances are you would have won with any other decent card as well.
Agent of Treachery is my favorite magic card, but even I don't play this deck. I love playing agent in a fair way. Either as a late game win con in a control deck, or as the primary target in Dimir or Grixis reanimator (personal favorite). Before this deck, nobody cared about Agent, now everyone hates it. This deck ruined not only standard, but also my favorite card. I just can't get behind it.
In the game against Gruul, why would you -3 elspeth when you could make the tokens, blink elspeth with yorion and then -3 to gain life with "new" elspeth
It only flickers end of turn, which can be dangerous since he was low on health, but I think too it would've been smarter to get token since the beast was stolen anyway
I actually don’t think these decks are that bad to beat… Most victories come from people quitting and I found playing this myself you can mill your self quite easily or run out of steam...I played my friends lure us deck and he just waited for me to kill myself while he chomped blocked with minnows
I have to point out something that I'm not has ever been addressed before, when you're hovering your cursor over cards to discuss possible plays the opponent can obviously see the cards highlighted and it probably gives away plays. That's all I ever think about when you point out how they could win this turn and then they do exactly that. Just putting it out there 🤷🏻♂️
Are there any nerfs being planned for Lukka agent decks? I mean, the threats it puts in play are outright oppressive. If you are a control deck and you are on the play, nothing will get you out of precious land being stolen on the opponent's turn five. Even if you are hardcore aggro, turn five steal on a key creature is likely to stop you on your tracks. I hate that the meta is 95% this deck, plus the decks who try to counter this deck. There are also very few effective counters for this deck, and you have to draw your answers before you get robbed of your lands.
Ew what, I look forward to watching your videos daily, but can't endorse continuing to watch this after seeing that sweaty decklist come up. Hopefully you have something not disgusting lined up for tomorrow.
While I'm building the better deck you recommended to me, I got to Diamond with cycling. Watching this to see if I can see how best to defeat this deck with cycling.

So mono-red yesterday lukka today tomorrow is either lurrus sacrifice or mono-black obosh to continu on this line of cgb plays the decks he hates. You should have played those as evil cgb people would have given tou less of a hard time about it
When too many decks start playing the same card its going end up with Jace the Face Melter syndrome where they have to ban the card to at least make the meta diverse. But they didn't end up banning that Jace until literally like two or three months before it was supposed to cycle out anyway. So who knows. we'll have to see.

Hm guess i can see why some run merriment since it can get you if for some reason all your Aot is not enough or just didnt draw luca. Lifelink and unlimited chump block is decent.
Move the cam screen to the opposite side. The right side is just about the worse place to have it in arena.
Genius
Anyone with agent of treachery in their deck is a bad person
Lord CGB, please brew a deck that will consistently win against yorion decks. I don’t care losing to other meta decks. Please please please 🙏🏼
he did. Look at the land destruction deck that he made.
Just be aware that they announced changes to the companion the mechanic and some ban updates so wait to go all in with your wildcards.
Those plays against mono-red to come back from 4 life were beautiful.
Luckily there will be a B&R Announcement next Monday, so I won't have to deal with that deck anymore.
There is no way fair way to play the Agent😅 Its a nasty and unfair card. It made Standard NO FUN
In the game against Gruul, why would you -3 elspeth when you could make the tokens, blink elspeth with yorion and then -3 to gain life with "new" elspeth
Yorion exils until EOT
It only flickers end of turn, which can be dangerous since he was low on health, but I think too it would've been smarter to get token since the beast was stolen anyway
Elspeth conquers ranked
I actually don’t think these decks are that bad to beat… Most victories come from people quitting and I found playing this myself you can mill your self quite easily or run out of steam...I played my friends lure us deck and he just waited for me to kill myself while he chomped blocked with minnows
I have to point out something that I'm not has ever been addressed before, when you're hovering your cursor over cards to discuss possible plays the opponent can obviously see the cards highlighted and it probably gives away plays. That's all I ever think about when you point out how they could win this turn and then they do exactly that. Just putting it out there 🤷🏻♂️
Love the content CGB Keep it up:)
Shouldnt have bounced elspeth with yurion. Would have caused them to pay more for embercleave next rpund
While I'm building the better deck you recommended to me, I got to Diamond with cycling. Watching this to see if I can see how best to defeat this deck with cycling.
Get lucky...If they get the T5 Luka and are on the play then you lose. Its a sad state of magic IMO. Yes there is lots of diversity, but no there isnt much skill determining outcomes after you get over the basic knowledge of how to play the deck phase.
@@michaedove3562 I've only played Magic for a little over 6 weeks. So this is the first 'meta' that I have seen. I'm with everybody else on thinking Agent of Treachery should be banned yesterday.
I don't understand why he didn't play Narset vs cycling earlier to to stop them dead in their tracks. Am I the only one seeing this?
So I figured out since you mentioned embercleave that when a creature get stolen from agent that has embercleave on it they still own embercleave..won alot of matches when I stole there creature and they didnt take back there cleave to put it on another creature instead of getting killed by there own embercleave so funny...embercleave is such a long word...lol
CGB, it's pointless for your opponent to cycle when you have Narset out, because they can only draw one per turn. That's why he scooped. Lovin' the deck though! :)
I was so angry playing and losing against this deck, but then I decided why be angry and crafted it. Now I am diamond tier 1 3 stars and I'll hopefully be hitting mythic tomorrow for the first time. God bless
Grats on beating degenerate red bro
Maybe it's because I play jank in gold but... I can't remember the last time I played against agent Lukka...
Please move your image to the left side in future videos... you're completely covering the stack / spells being cast. Cheers.
this deck is broken :(
This kind of deck is what I hate most about Magic. Makes me want to puke.
This is what Garfield intended
@@BasilWallaceI will puke smiling then.
Honestly I didn't even notice your face was on the wrong side until about the third game.
Why are people not playing Ashiok in the current meta? I run him in my Jeskai Fire Deck and its working brilliantly in Mythic! Only Yorion Decks are still annoying as hell until you exiled their last Agent :(
I liked camera a lot more in its old position on the left, as to not cover the stack.
See outro, it was an accident
Having your facecam be on the right side of the screen blocks us seeing cards as they are cast, I much prefer it when the cam is on the left side.
Watch the end of the video
We forgive you for the camera ;) nice work
So mono-red yesterday lukka today tomorrow is either lurrus sacrifice or mono-black obosh to continu on this line of cgb plays the decks he hates. You should have played those as evil cgb people would have given tou less of a hard time about it
I am really looking forward to the Agent not being standard legal anymore in autumn ;) With Thassa and Yorion this is pointless
Please put your cam back on the left side; it was much more comfortable to watch the videos that way. Thanks :)
When too many decks start playing the same card its going end up with Jace the Face Melter syndrome where they have to ban the card to at least make the meta diverse. But they didn't end up banning that Jace until literally like two or three months before it was supposed to cycle out anyway. So who knows. we'll have to see.
Oko got banned
I get how people will play this kind of deck to rank faster. What I don’t get is how could people enjoy it in casuals. Like dude are you tired of using this deck in ranked because you keep losing to mirror matches?
Where is my bacon? Lost in between the planes!
8:26 evil laugh
The dark side is strong in cgb
So much whining about this deck in the comments. Keep playing it CGB and don't listen to the haters.
This is not an angry comment; This is just for the algorithm.
It’s not you CGB, I just can’t stand the meta right now. The only thing that makes me want to play standard right now is this home-brew, four-color (omitting red) control deck I made. I guess we’ll see what the B &R announcement is coming up.
