That last game vs Amazonian was the best kind of content. Real plays, some guesswork, a lot of back and forth, and a clutch finish. Thank you!
One of my favorite plays of all time, at GP Pittsburgh, I played turn 4 Gonti, then their turn 6, they played a board wipe, and I flashed in their Archangel Avacyn from Gonti.
There will always be a special place in my heart for Avacyn. OG Innistrad block was my introduction to MtG, and I built a really cool Naya Humans/Angels deck, Crusader of Odric, Angelic Overseer, all that good stuff. And I pulled an Avacyn and Gisela from packs to go into it, as well as traded for a Sigarda to finish up the trio of Angels. I was so sad when it rotated out, I kept it as a Modern deck for a long time. I might see if I can make her a Commander deck to pilot.
People might hate you before you start playing haha
Been getting into brawl lately as a Standard/Alchemy only player, its nice to see all these different techs.

I haven't crafted Avacyn yet for HB because ramp and reanimation have so many strong high mana cost options as alternatives, but it didn't occur to me until you mentioned it in the intro that blink decks can get to 8 mana on sheer value and making the game go long. Will have to craft Avacyn and give her a try some time, either as a commander or as part of my Nadaar blink deck. For now, time to watch the rest of your video! :D

I like historic brawl videos.
The game against Iluna reminded me of one time I went against it in Historic Brawl and Omniscience was literally the last card in their deck. They didn't have anything else relevant in hand, so they decked out and died! That was probably one of the funniest games I've ever played, don't even remember what commander I was playing at the time.

Always wanted to get into historic brawl but it always feels so daunting for a collection that's only started from AFR. Nice to see some historic content to see what cards are worth crafting!

Was a standard only player for the past 2 years (minus a few drafts here and there), and when CGB said he was going to move to Historic Brawl for a bit, I was initially a little bummed that I wouldn’t get my daily fix of standard brews. But this channel inspired me to try out a few Brawl games and… wow. I haven’t had this much fun on Arena in a while. Kudos to CGB for opening my eyes to Brawl, I always thought it was Commander-lite but the 1v1 format makes it play much differently (must-kill cards in commander can stick around longer due to having only one opponent vs three)

Yeah Avacyn, Righteous Valkyrie, Elesh, Reflections of Littjara, Kaya, Witness the Future and Alrunds Epiphany with some Tepheri would be huge Lifegain. I'm just coming back to the game so missed a few sets.

Historic & Explorer are my two favorite formats and it's not close. There are maybe hundreds of great different decks in Historic alone. Im guessing you probably watch Jeff Hoogland and Crokeyz, so please, come to the OP side (W/G lifegain or Spiritdancer, Dragons with Nerfs still strong lol)

Love avacyn but for commander she's always been in the 99 rather than the commander as its far easier to get her out early through some Graveyard/ or Fetch shenanigins.
