    I wish 343 had interactable things like this. Just simple things like having a button that opens a gate to a building for easier access. Or a button that puts up barriers to block enemy team. Or maybe even a fun interactable button that if you know someone's in a certain location it might detonate a whole bunch of fusion coils.

      That's one of the biggest reasons I love Halo 2 and 3 maps so much. Aside from most of them just being fun to move around and visually distinct, nothing felt cooler than blowing open a ramp or opening a gate and now the maps completely open to roll through with a Warthog or a tank. Just having that extra layer of map control and teamwork when it comes to vehicle play especially.
      Maybe on some maps you can temporarily activate a man cannon or teleporter to a good map control point, but you have to defend the area while your AI hacks it first. Or even as simple as opening and closing the main gate of a BTB base. Just SOMETHING.

      I think it'd be cool to have a map that's all about map interactivity. Meaning that's the sole purpose for the map existing is it's a UNSC or Banished training and testing facility or something. Explosives linked to buttons around the map, all kinds of other traps, grav lifts and man cannons you can turn on and off, doors and gates you can open and close to control map flow and cut off sightlines.
      Basically just think of a possibly canon facility made to train Spartans or Elites and Brutes to handle any bullshit scenario they can think of. Complete player controlled mayhem.

      343 actually did that with every map on Halo 2 Anniversary. Bloodline had a button to activate EMP blasts around each base. Zenith had the button to activate the giant shield in the center of the map. Every remastered map had some cool little unique map mechanic. Shrine had the little targets you shot at to trigger a waterfall that obscured vision of the base. I think many felt they were gimmicky, so we didn't see much of it after that.

      They did it a little in H4 and H2A. To me that seemed like a more appropriate way to evolve the Halo sandbox over heightened mobility

    Trying these nodes out now and I cannot get it to move when the platform object is set to Dynamic/Phased. It'll move if set to Normal Physics mode but is flopping all around b/c of being affected by physics. Do you have this or a test map published for experimenting?

    Is this using a gravity zone to keep the player from falling out? Cause the way it moves with the player without jitter/lag is amazing

    Dynamic stuff like this is what makes Halo maps memorable and fun. We need more dynamic maps with hazards and alternate ways of traversal.

    Understood 0 of your explanation, but nice to see several grouped objects work so well in sync when scripted. In H5 you'd see pieces shift slightly across such distances, but I didn't see any of that here. Looks super promising.

    This is SO amazing.
    Is there anyway to control how fast it moves?
    Also imagine making a map where it's two teams on moving Gondolas across from each other and eventually they intersect for close quarters combat!
    Maybe you can weld spawn points behind cover in areas only the team can access with a welded countdown to prevent camping?

    Awesome, how do you make it so you don't have to run on the moving object? I have moving objects but they are kinda jank... gotta sprint while on it...

    How is the player staying attached to the Gondola? Evey time i try something the platform will just leave the player behind and i can't even see anything in the script having to do with the player. IT just sucks that getting the player to move smoothly is so hard to do, and when player do figure it out they don't think its worth mentioning.

    Could you try an elevator to see if halo Infinite has the bug like in halo 5 where you're going down too fast and it makes you collide which makes you kind of lose movement control of yourself. If its not there then that would be awesome.

    Love this! Would it be possible to make one that transports vehicles? Maybe with rails on the side the rise up during activation so it doesn't slide off

      Depends on what it’s used for. I’d say this is a perfect speed for map design in a competitive/causal environment. For infection or other user creative modes? I can see slowing it down would be beneficial

    Frankly we shouldn't be allowed to do this stuff, ruins the fun having everything be script based. It was so much more creative when we had to use actual ingame physics like halo reach for things like drop pods. Scripts ruin forge

      @@clayrobin2971 didn't ask you to agree but it's true. It was more creative and required more talent when we had to work around game mechanics and didn't have as many tools. Using barricades as drop pods that fall apart when they hit the ground, using grav mags to cycle through guns for a mystery box, using pallets as destructable barriers for zombies, all this stuff is nostalgic and pure original halo, none of this scripting stuff. Leave this kinda stuff to other games, forge should be simple and user friendly unlike this stuff, and we should be making things that revolve around physics, not the complete removal of them. Halo has always been a physics game, until 343 took over that is.

    Any chance you could publish this map? I am trying to something very similar (2 way monorail) and no scripting solution I've found so far works as well as what you show in your video for moving platforms. Is this on a beta branch perhaps?

    How does the player move with the platform ?
    When I see movable objects, the player just stand their while the object just goes under them..
