2023 Subaru Ascent Limited - REVIEW and POV DRIVE - Is This The Best 3 Row SUV Under $50,000?
Вставка
- Опубліковано 26 лют 2023
- In today's video, I review and drive the 2023 Subaru Ascent Limited. It has a very nice interior, ride, and optional sound system.. What's great is that you can still buy an affordable and nice SUV in 2023 under $50,000 - which is important to a lot of families (understandably so). Is the Subaru Ascent the right 3 row SUV for you and your family? Watch the video and decide that yourself...

Traded a 2018 Honda Odyssey Limited for a 2023 Ascent Limited with the technology package. This is one great car! Very happy and confident we made the right decision.
One more comment on the Subaru Ascent, it has direct injectors so carbon building in the injectors happens fast. We add every 3-5000 miles injector clearner and we are getting around 22.4 MPG on average.
This is the only Subaru I have to get it bro.
Like your information boxes. Someone tells me new vehicles have a pet option for safety seating for dogs and auto window lowering in warm weather.
I'm ready to experience the Subaru Ascent's family-friendly features for myself. Time for a test drive!
I just took delivery on my 2023 crystal pearl limited with Tech package and I love it!
Very thorough review! I had been on the fence about buying an Ascent, but had an experience at the dealer that kept me from pulling the trigger. Your review touched on every single thing and I realized it was what I wanted. I went to a different Subaru dealership yesterday and ordered a 2024 8-pass Limited in white with ivory, exactly like your test vehicle. Yes, I did get the tech package! Delivery here in the Boston area is 10-12 wks 😒Thanks for the help!
Congratulations..I hope dealers are no longer charging mark-ups 👍
I'm glad the video could help with your decision! I hope you get it asap
How are you liking your Ascent so far?
I ordered my 2024 Ascent 8-passenger Limited, just like the featured car, the last week in July and took delivery Nov 9th. I previously owned 2011, '15' and '19 Foresters, so I pretty much knew what I was getting quality and build-wise. It has less than 900 miles on it (my office is less than 3 miles from home, and I telework when I can), so it's really not broken in yet. We've had some snow and ice the last week or so here in the Boston area and it handles beautifully. Definitely a heavier feel than the Foresters (which also handled well in snow/ice) and very sure-footed. It's got some cool features-- the facial recognition automatically adjusts the seat and mirrors for 5 drivers, and the giant center screen looks so much better than the 'stuck-on I-pad' look. I paid about $1K off sticker, which wasn't a bad deal at the time. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it so far.
Great review
Transmission cooler! Wow finally someone discovered this most needed feature. Why? Moving an over 4,500 weight vehicle will always make work hard any transmission “specially a CVT” we have the 2019 limited and will added this component once the 100,000 transmission extended warranty expire. So far no problems with almost 60,000 miles.
The Ascent is sweet! Big fan
Serenity tranquility peace
Great video
Thanks!
very informative and useful video. you touched on all the subtleties and characteristics of this car. Unfortunately, this beautiful car is not sold in our country.
Are you in Europe?
@@mayi-gotothebathroom no , Asia. Kazakhstan
Was that Claude Moore park where you started?
Thanks for the thorough '23 Ascent review! Question: how competant is the Ascent's lane keep assist? Does it keep the vehicle centered in its lane? And can it ne turned on even without the adaptive cruise on? We are looking for a solid vehicle for roadtrips-- Thanks!
Thank you! Honestly - I don't think I have enough seat time to comment on those things - however, you can have the lane assist on w/o the ACC on.. Maybe an owner can chime in and let you know their long term experiences with the lane keep system and how it is on road trips
@703Speed thanks 703Speed! Yes, would be nice to hear the experience of an Ascent owner regarding the lane keep assist system. That's great news that lane assist will work independantly of the adaptive cruise. Looking forward to test driving the refreshed Ascent. Looks great especially in Onyx trim!
@@R56Cooper Onyx is the way to go!
Ride is good but how is the handling?
I mean its a 3 row suv, it handles decent for what is is.. Don't remember too well tbh. Been a while since I've driven one
🎉
Does it have hands free lift gate?
I don’t think so but not 100%
Turbo engine lifespan is shorter than regular 4 cylinder or V6
Not always! 2007 Subaru WRX been driven like a sports car all 221,000 on the clock. Dealer recommended maintenance with 5k oil changes engine and turbo are original and still rip! It’s all in the maintenance now days. Subaru has their turbo four boxer recipe perfected.
Can i have moonroof on ascent limited?
Yes, but with the $3,550 Technology package
Does it have remote start?
It is standard on the Limited yes. You have to use it through the app though
I think I also saw an optional add on "key" for doing a remote start.
Does the 2023 have a cd player?
No
69. LOL
I was waiting for someone to comment that😂
