I bought 2023 ascend oynx one month ago very good suspension and very smooth driving, for family use
Great to hear! Congratulations!
I've seen many SUVs, but the Ascent's design truly stands out. It's the ideal family companion!
I5s a great SUV for sure!
Thanks for showing the turning circle radius.
You are very welcome!
Good video. As an owner of a 2021 ascent limited I'm a little disappointed with the following: usb connection is 3rd row still on 1 side and not each side, why? Entertainment is not as exciting as the palisade; new front grill is not a wow factor. The only reason I would upgrade is due to the new eyesight upgrade and improved safety system and awd. Room is small behind 3rd row seat unlike the palisade and the light in the trunk could have been placed higher to better illuminate rhe trunk
For some reason manufacturers such as Subaru Honda and Toyota ride their reputation and it seems like they dont care about some basic features that are easy to improve. Thanks for watching!
@Matt The Carguy they take the consumers for granted.
We will buy a '23 Ascent anyway as the safety factors can't be touched by ANY OTHER auto manufacturer, PERIOD!!!
@@davidheller7919 in that department it definitely is the best !
I would take the Ascent over the Palisades based on Subaru’s reputation for reliability and safety.
I like the looks of it a lot. Better than the Outback or Forester. The MPG is a shame though. I have a 2021 Legacy Touring XT with the same engine and while its decent on long highway drives (29-30 MPG), it sucks in town. I know the Ascent would be worse. Shame there isn't a hybrid.
It would be nice to have a plug in hybrid.
What do you expect for 8 seat suv? Mpg is great for a non ev
Hey Jeff, whats your in town mpg? I live in a small town so no heavy stop and go traffic, currently considering this car.
@@robertduklus6555 Its pretty poor. If I do nothing but in town short trips with a tank of gas its about 19 MPG. I'm not driving crazy either - fairly gentle acceleration most of the time. My town is about 30,000 people, so not tiny, but not big either.

Great Review
Thsnk you!
I like the towing capacity. 5000 pounds can pull a pretty decent boat.
definitely!
but the cvt has a secret, it goes well if it is driven like that
Like what?
11:30 You definitely won’t be fitting into the third row of the 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander.
That bad?
@@MattTheCarguy It’s a compact CUV especially compared to this. It’s Third Row isn’t ideal for Adults.
@@AJLeonardo84 is it Outlander Sport?
@@MattTheCarguy I’m referring to the 2023 Outlander PHEV.
@@AJLeonardo84 got it. On paper its a foot shorter
How to use WAZE on the 2023 Ascent
Through Apple Carplay or Android Auto would be my guess.
2016 called...They want their interior back!!
haha
yeah, my Subura won't charge when use Android Car, it feels very frustrated when they refuse to do even a little for customer convinence.
Im not sure if there is a way to drop suggestions directly to manufacturer?
Im debating between this vehicle and a Lexus 350h luxury. Help?
Wow, two completely different vehicles. Especially driving experience. Subaru is a lot stiffer but handles better, lexus floats on the road but it is too soft in my opinion. Ascent is more responsive with quicker acceleration. Its also bigger if size is important. Lexus has more luxurious interior. And better gas mileage on 2023. Have you driven both? That would make my decision
I test drove the ascent. It was nice. I was able to sit in a rx but they didn’t allow for a test drive, which is causing the dilemma. I need two car seats to fit comfortably so enough room in the second row matters
@@jihaelee7024 i liked both but if you are looking for room in the back Ascent may be way to go. Btw here is my take on Rx ua-cam.com/video/HDnKNqFozrY/v-deo.html
@@jihaelee7024 The rear doors open to nearly a 90 degree angle offering the best in class access to the rear seats; also they slide forward which gives you easier access to the security clasps.
@@MattTheCarguy what’s your take on Subaru’s cvt?
At 24:32 Matt you are INCORRECT my friend!!!! You INCORRECTLY said there are 2 engine options!!!!! Subaru's site plainly and clearly states ONE option for engine. The 2.4 liter turbo. How can NOT know this?!? Sounds like complete lack of knowledge here. You must do your homework before reviewing vehicles.
You got me! Thanks foe making such a huge deal of my mistake. Keep in mind wheni did this video information was still being verified and sometimes things change. Yes there is only one engine option. You ROCK!
However, there are two transmission configuration options. Which only allows the base model to only tow 2000 pounds and the higher trims to tow 5000
@@jdb3160 That's a LIE.....
@@Retiredmco ok little buddy whatever you say. I guess you’re right and Subaru is wrong …My, aren’t we aggressive 🤣
