When you register your identity with system that recognizes the driver, it also records the gas mileage that driver is achieving and it can be seen in the upper part of the display where you have the 3 personal options for information. It shows the mpg for as long as the identity setting has been registered. A week, a month, or for years.
I dont want the cabin lights to turn on when i open a rear door, how do i so that, is there an off switch , like the switch for the two front doors? Thanks
@bachman nice informative video! Had fun watching it. Btw I just got my 2024 Ascent Touring and having issues with valet mode. It’s seems any number I input won’t activate the feature. It always says wrong PIN code. Tried changing the PIN code also but need to input old PIN code. Would it be a PIN code already been set? I asked our dealership here but it seems they don’t have any knowledge about it. I am so frustrated not to be able to use that feature. Is there a way to reset to default if there’s any default pin? Or hard resetting it will do? Another Subaru guy “Tyson” suggested removing the battery cables. Would it do the trick? Thanks much!
And do you have the technical details for the second row captain seats? The right side lever that’s accessible from the back is not working. I guess the cable attach to it disconnected. Tho the vehicle is totally brand new I don’t want to bring it back to the dealership for them to tinker it. Is it simple installation only? I am referring to the lever on the side of the back rest. The left side is working pretty well. Thanks much in advance.
@@BachmanAutoGroupLouisville but would it not mess up the programming of the car if I disconnect the battery terminals? Am afraid that it might do more harm than good. Thanks
@@BachmanAutoGroupLouisville btw was able to reset the valet PIN code thru the settings menu and go down to “factory reset”. Everything is back to factory settings. I was able to create new PIN code for the valet mode already. Just want to share. Have a great day everyone!
Curious - which model do you have - Premium, Touring, Onyx? That might be the difference as it appears the model reviewed in this video is the Touring version (the highest model available).

Nice tip!

I noticed it on my Outback. If you adjust the settings of the mirror or seat of the profile, it goes back to a new start.

Wish they would backport some of these features to older years.

And btw the icon on my unit does not show “valet mode” but “PIN code” instead. Is it the same or I need to install or set up something?

I think unplugging the battery would probably reset it.
As far as the rear seat I’m not sure? You may need to take it in

How does the sunglass mirror work. I have mine but it won't stay open to use the mirror.
Push to open it. Then close it about 1/2 way (push pass the resistance you feel), then let it go. It should stay opened so that the mirror is visible.
❤❤❤❤
Good vid but you've completely turned me off of buying a new car 😂 I want less tech, not more
I would stay away from getting new cars then. They’re not moving that way in any way shape or form
Who wants their face constantly scanned?
You have a cell phone? then your face gets scanned everyday multiple times. Doesn’t matter anymore. Life we live in. 🤷🏻♂️
They lost me by doing too many thing with the mirror. The audio isn't good, anyway.
