I'm going to pin this because one of ya'll just told me something I didn't know at the time of making this video and that is the following: If you just get your TP to 100 you'll get 1 character back, 150 for 2 and 200 and higher for 3, however the rules on who you use last and first still stands if you want to get a certain character back like I explained for Taion and using a defender at the end for example. Thank you for the reminder and all the help ya'll! Keep it up! If there anything else i miss lets help each other out here!
It's more important to go high on your TP than to end on a defender. You'll get all chars back anyway, after 2 rounds max. You even get a bonus to the dmg multiplier when Zou go over 150, making it easier to get higher tp.
what I am digging is that the chain can be crafty like this or you just can go full monkey until you get the gist of it, I am waiting for a sale to get this game but it seems it´s not gonna happen soon.
If you deplete an enemy's health bar you go into overkill and any damage after that begins to add to a multiplier for your exp and cp. it's a great way to unlock classes and level them when you have a food bonus going.
One thing to mention is that all party members have a set base number of tp at the start of a chain attack regardless of class. For example taion will always start with 35, Noah will always start with 30, sena always starts with 15 etc.
Thank you!!! I've watched other videos on this and they were getting way too detailed and it was confusing but your method of explaining things makes it simple to understand.
I stumbled when using this system in the beginning and then during the lamba colony fight I literally tripped over the entire fight with the system some how bypassing the bravo thing and went straight to amazing. Now I understand how and why thank you!
yup! covered it already here, I posted a pinned comment before you commented lol so you must have not seen it, all good though! glad people are sharing knowledge!
One thing to note is that role bonuses and completion bonuses don’t change depending on what class you have. But the attack you do during a chain order (it’s called a chain art) does change depending on your class.
Heroes also enter chain attacks and will have hero bonus and unique effect if chosen as chain order.. i'll use Riku and Manana for a example, every character has their own effects. yes, they appear at one of the 3 chain order characters/ if Riku and Manana are selected as chain order, you do your normal stuff, sellecting characters until their tp to 100% and they do their finishing attack. in the next chain order, Riku and Manana will give everyone who wasn't used +7 TP at the start of the next round. now if you choose them during a chain order, they will allow the next character to do 125% (unless Riku and Manana TP trigger 100%). also note that Attacker heroes don't trigger the first blood btw, but Healers will still not trigger 100%. idk about defenders tho... if i got anything wrong then idk what to say cause i suck at saying stuff
I've gone over 99% with Valdi (and not because of his +50 vs machines, I was fighting a Tirken) so I don't think Heroes get the conventional Role effects.
oh my god I've been playing this game for over 70 hours and this is how I find out you can CHOOSE what character is moving in the chain attack I've just been using them in order this whole time...
I think getting to 150% and 200% TP gets you back another character. I don’t know what one it is but I noticed it when watching a friend play the game. I just got the game and am really early in the game and don’t have chain attacks yet but I’m trying to understand the game and how combat works
Good video. One more tip: if your HEALER is a HERO, he can go past 99%. So be careful when using a Hero Healer! I love trying to get 150 to over 200! It's fun little game within the game.
I didn’t know using a defender brought back your attacker 😂 Overall I had a good grasp of how chain attacks function but I was wondering why sometimes it wouldn’t bring back my attackers and sometimes it would lol I wish the game went in depth to explain that little detail
It doesn't bring back your Attacker. Getting 100%+ with a Defender brings back the character with the highest TP. This is important to know, since it could accidently bring back a Healer, who can't finish a Chain Order because of its own unique properties. So think carefully. If you have to choose between an Attacker and a Defender when your Healer has the most TP, it's mostly better to use the Healer and then end with the Attacker so you have a chance of reactivating a different character who can finish an order, unless you know *for sure* that you'll reach at least 150% (reactivates 2 characters) when the Defender finishes.
I kinda broke it doing the chain attack when you for the mecha friend healer (forgot his name) and before it forced me to end the fight he alone was giving 214 TP per activation
Do you normally play the healer? I’ve always just used whoever my attacker was never really tried playing the other guys. Who do u thinks most effectively played by a human?
i usually just like to try them all at least a couple of times just to see if i like them, and if i do ill use them for a while. in terms of most affective i think it might depend on your playstyle and how fast you can grasp the combat and things happening while u fight.
This game's combat is a convoluted mess. I thought the previous 2 games were bad (which they were) but this game is just dreadful and it doesn't go into much depth If any at all leaving the Player to trial and error in the worst possible way basically. This is one thing I despise with Xenoblade. Many thanks for this video, honestly if it wasn't for UA-camrs like yourself I would be quite lost with some of these mechanics.
It’s all in the “tips” section. Hope that helps. ALL info is there, it’s not a fromsoftware game which actually gives you very little info. I do wish they’d give the stuff in tips section automatically though, I think we would share that opinion. God bless!

And that's why sometimes saving your highest attacker for last is better instead of ending with a defender

Thank you so much! The in game tutorials don't quite explain this well. Either that or I'm just slow LOL. Now i feel like i understand.
This is so clarifying! Thanks for the video I’m around level 29 and learning a lot
Man awesome videos, thanks for making it easy for dummies like me
Thank you bro I always needed help with these chai attacks on I’m chapter six trying to beat moeb y this helped tremendously
wow this was really easy to understand thank you!
Thank you for this video, this explained a very complicated mechanic perfectly!
Bruh i was choosing characters randomly LMAOO💀
Same 😂
So glad it wasn’t just me.
Your explanations are on point. Very informative. Glad I found your channel.
Thank you!!! Glad to help!
Fantastic tutorial, thank you!
Great vid
I’m at the very beginning but this helps me to understand once I start getting into battles! Ty! Looking forward to doing these attacks!
Glad to help! 👌
getting two back is not random, you just have to get 150% or more.
Thank you. I haven't gotten the chain attack yet but i'll keep this in mind once its unlocked
Great video man! I was so lost on how this worked! Really cleared it up for me thank you!!
I stumbled when using this system in the beginning and then during the lamba colony fight I literally tripped over the entire fight with the system some how bypassing the bravo thing and went straight to amazing. Now I understand how and why thank you!
I needed this, thank you!
It's not random. It's if you reach 150% for 2 characters back and 200% for 3 characters back. 150 and 200 are the thresholds.
yup! covered it already here, I posted a pinned comment before you commented lol so you must have not seen it, all good though! glad people are sharing knowledge!

@@duddude321 Healer Heroes don't count as regular Healers and can go over the 99% threshold, despite being a Healer class.

150 gives 2 back, 200 gives 3
Thanks for the info!
Once I got it here I knew I needed a youtube video to explain wth is happening

I was stupidly thinking that the turn order was predetermined 😅🤣
LOL SAME. woops xD
Also worth to consider what hero to bring some has good chain attacks and using them 1 in a attack i think guarantee 150 tp
Bravo gets you two people back in rotation, Amazing three. But I guess you realised that by now or someone else alteady commented that.
I kinda broke it doing the chain attack when you for the mecha friend healer (forgot his name) and before it forced me to end the fight he alone was giving 214 TP per activation
I run the game with 6 card healers what do you mean
Bro can you see where i can get the guide to location that was in the trailer the red line that guide you straight to where you wanna go...
Press ZL while out of combat and the face buttons give you menu shortcuts, one of them is “show quest route” and it’s set by default.

I don’t understand how u tell which art gets the multiplier..?
dont do this at 35% boys 10% is perfect
