The fundamental issue is finding places where you can find people to connect that shares your values, very ironically in this “connected world”, loneliness and depression is on the raise and finding friends as an adult and connecting with genuine people is harder than ever, I struggle with this myself.

I completely understand. We are more disconnected than ever - and that's why I'm really passionate about building community and also *finding* community. Your church is definitely a great place to start! I'm in my 30s and still finding "my people" so stay encouraged that they are out there.
