After over a year, I have been wanting to try my hand at cooking this interesting veggie! Little worried how it would taste and the texture. Luckily, I ran across your video and have to say, it was perfect for my first go at it! Even my bf is a fan thanks to you! Subscribed and ready for your next video! Thanks again!
What a wonderful comment! So very glad it turned out so well for you. I have two of them on my counter right now waiting to become dinner within the next few days. :) I haven’t posted a video in quite some time but I’m working on new content right now. I’m excited to come back!
never ever cooked them, but i went ahead with this method and WE LOVED IT. I belive the salt did help cook it 'al-dante' ,, YUMMMMMM. Thank you Beth ;-)
Brilliant!
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for making this video. I just tried it and had complete success! 😄

A lot of Very Good info thank you
You're very welcome!
You baked your spaghetti squash. I just watched 2 other videos using a microwave. How do you feel about microwaving?
Great video!
You can purchase a cool spaghetti squash knife on Amazon!
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you. Assume job girl. Learned how to cut and not over cook.👍👍👍
This was great. Thank you.
So interesting!
Very informative
If you do spaghetti squash rings to bake them, I assume it's still 400° but wouldn't you have to shorten up the cooking time?
I cut mine the long way and I still get the long noodles, I just flake mine in the opposite direction. I also use this method you described when serving individual portions.
Can you freeze the squash after cooking?
thank you!
Amelia Komp my pleasure! :)
How do you know when the squash is done?
Do you cook the seeds like pumpkin seeds?
I have arthritis which means my hands hurt, and they are weak. So, I ask the nice produce guys at the grocery store to cut my squash in half--they are happy to help.
So I've never had this does it taste like squash ? If you make spaghetti does it taste a lot different than regular noodles ? , 🤔. Or does the sauce cover up any squash taste ?
Dave Scheer we use a spaghetti sauce with ours. My hubby tried it but he didn’t care for it. It’s more like a squash. Don’t compare it to regular noodles when your trying it or you won’t enjoy the nice flavor that they have all on their own.
I personally love it but I also like squash and zucchini. If you like those things then you may like this 😊
Chasity Patrick , I made the squash but I tasted it before trying it with a little sauce, I to like the squash taste without the sauce, I put butter and sugar free brown sugar substitute on it and love it that way 👍🏼
All the sturm und drang cutting the squash isn’t needed. Just baton the knife through the squash. I just use a nightstick. If the knife being used won’t handle being batonned, a new knife should be considered.
425 oven for 25/30 min
Love the long dry noodles- much better- the wettness is one of the reasons I would shy away from spaghetti squash
I have been doing it wrong since forever 😢...thanks
No
Joe Alvardo no to...?
Vegan or try again
Uh, it’s a vegetable, so obviously vegan. :)
Can't you just cook it whole for 10 minutes to soften then cut it?? Looks dangerous
I microwave for 2 minutes and cut- works great!
Is this VEGAN? How can you get it like the store-bought stuff which is RAW VEGAN?
Hello, yes this is vegan! I don't know of a way to serve spaghetti squash raw like spiralizing butternut squash or similar that you might find at the store. Spaghetti squash might be able to be spiralized, but the texture would be quite crunchy and I'm not sure how the "noodles" would look at that stage. Worth trying though, just for the fun of it!
Of course it's vegan. It doesn't come from an animal...
Wait!?!? Please, what does it taste like? I mean, REALLY, what does it taste like? Consistency? Aroma? Is there a preferred way to grow them if you choose to, in order to get the best flavors? We would love to know! Thank you 💕
