Thanks much for your informative video. Love your additional tips on nutritional value and also how to use that food. Only concern is the use of egg whites vs. the whole egg. I love eggs but have learned the diversity of egg whites too!!! Thanks again!!
I have read that red foods are very heart and kidney healthy. Fortunately I love red onions, cherries, red grapes, cranberries, etc. Thanks for the video.
Great video. I do know that each person with ckd does not necessarily need to limit potassium, phosphorus, or sodium. Some of us are actually low in some of these. I'm low in phosphorus for example.
Kidney transplant/ dialysis patients needs to limit sodium, potassium and phosphorus, because the dialysis machine does NOT do a good job of filtering out these. So, there's a high risk of your body accumulating these substance at toxic level. Yes.. too little can also be as dangerous.
Thank you so much for this video. My husband went to his doctor and found out his results last week. He was told he's at a 2. As a family of 6, I'm struggling to figure out what meals that I can make for us all to enjoy. I would love to see meal videos for this. My husband was told chicken, turkey, and fish(like Salomon), were okay for him to eat, but to stay away from other meats. He also needs to go gluten free and dairy free. So it seems a bit overwhelming right now.
Sara B, my husband's doctor. He's a preventive doctor that looked at all his in depth lab work and found that he should stay away from gluten. We are 5 months in the journey and he has lost 35 pounds. We aren't 100% gluten free, but are pretty close to it.
Thank you for these videos, my bf has just suffered acute kidney failure and just got out of the hospital and I’m so lost as to how to cook for him. The word "salt" has no place in a discussion of low sodium anything!
