TY! I am in the green but it rose a little.. So I am getting ahead of it all to heal ups. This helps with the bread selecting!
Great video, great info - thank you very much
Glad it was helpful!
I thank you SO much for the helpful information you give. This information is so needed for me now. My fiancee is 58 and has just had part of his aorta removed and a part put on that is plastic and part cow. His kidneys have been injured and he has high blood pressure and is now become slightly diabetic. As a black male I am learning more about his ethnicity. He had his heart operation on the 19th and must be in rehab for a while to learn to do things again. He also has Scholiosis and has Autism. His diet when he comes home will be so hard for me. It will be low in sodium, phosperous and potassium. I want to help his poor kidneys as much as I ca so he doesn't have to go through dialysis later. I am a white 76 year old woman and I want to learn things that aren't complicated to make. He's used to fast foods or plain foods at home. Not fancy recipes. You helped me so much today. I have high anxiety and am under a psychiatrist's care. I'm on 1,200mg Gabapentin and worry about everything. I have un-assessed ADHD also. You have a new sub as of today. I look forward to any helpful things I might learn from you. Food shopping is going to be SO hard for me. I was 400 pounds when I met him, and since April 2022, I have lost 266 pounds. I'm now 234 and am trying for 150. Thank you SO MUCH, Dr.
I use sourdough bread.
very good!
Ezekiel Bread is great!
Yes! That brand has a lot of great products.
Ezekiel bread is available at Trader Joe's for a few dollars less that at Sprouts and Whole foods. Fresh daily.
Hello and good day to you, I have been baking my own bread for year, using organic white unbleached flour. My bread consist of yeast, flour, water, a small amount of salt. Am I on the right track ??
Another question. My fiancee ONLY likes WHITE bread. He can't stand wheat or whole grain breads. He's had white bread all his life, and I'm afraid he really is going to be hard on this one. Any help, ANYONE?

Be sure to check ingredient labels for phosphorus additives! We consider a food to be low in phosphorus if it contains zero phosphorus additives.

I was wondering what are your thoughts on deeps indian kitchen plant base frozon meals?
Depends on what your nutrition needs are. Most of their products contain no phosphorus additives (which is good - but always check labels), but most of their products would be considered high in sodium. The protein content of their products also varies, so you would want to be sure to choose one that met your needs best. I would check with your dietitian to see what they think about them for you!
Bee Free bread at Costco low sodium no potassium no phos.
hello madam , can i eat peanut butter and white bread or white bread and also coffee?
Hi - I recommend checking out these articles: kidneyfoodie.com/is-peanut-butter-good-for-kidney-disease/ and kidneyfoodie.com/kidney-friendly-creamer-for-your-coffee/
Which rice can we eat?
Brown rice, black rice, or quinoa
You didn't mention Celiac Bread.
What about Gluten Free bread??
I didn't come across any low sodium, no phosphate, gluten free breads when doing my search, so you may need to settle on one that is higher in sodium and then balance that out with lower sodium choices the rest of the day.
@@kidneyfoodie Thank you :)

If you buy your bread from an actual baker, they don't have food labels- it gets handed to you in a brown paper bag!
I don't know why in such videos the ingredients and 'type of bread' ie sourdough v rye bread v v v ..
NO!! IM TRYING TO FIND RECIPES FOR MAKING MY OWN BREAD!! I WOULDN'T EVEN NEEDVTO PUT ANY SALT IN IT!! ARE THERE ANY "MAKE AND BAKE YOUR OWN KIDNEY FRIENDLY BREAD RECIPES ANYWHERE AT ALL???
Hi! If you're looking for kidney friendly baking recipes, I would focus your search on "low salt bread recipes" or "low sodium bread recipes". If the recipe calls for baking powder, then just be sure to substitute that for kidney friendly baking powder (which is 2 parts cream of tartar and 1 part baking soda). Then your bread will be kidney friendly!
Is not for me
Not informative. WHAT BREAD THEN?
Hi - I have a list on the website! kidneyfoodie.com/best-bread-for-kidney-disease/
Bimbo white bread. Only 95 milligrams of sodium per slice. Only 40 milligrams of potassium per slice. Can buy anywhere.
Trader Joe’s organic whole wheat bread has low potassium, and phosphorus. It’s low in sodium so that something to considered.
