Hi Gavin Mate you had me Worried there for a minute Then out came the REBAR WoW. Grate project mate as always , I made a couple of your hooks and rebar knots for a house warming present for a mate, She loves them so much I have made a few more for her to give to her family as gifts. So thanks Mate for sharing ,Cheers . :)
Thank you very much, I am glad you liked it Douglas, I am super happy she loved your knots and hooks, thank you for your comment I always appreciate your feedback.
Кевин здравия тебе и твоим близким, давно не заходил к тебе, а тут такие вещи понаделал, молорик от души, рад видеть тебя при деле, привет из Южного Урала
Hi Gavin, Very cool, industrial look! I've never seen nails like that with numbers on the head before. They are unique. Thanks for sharing the project. I always get good ideas from you! -mike
Those are probably sleeper nails, hammered into wooden railway sleepers to mark the year of installation - in this case probably 1903. Gavin: Great work, I'm impressed as always.
Hi Mike we used those type 3inch nails and longer ones in the timber stopes when I was working underground in the mines, I have never seen numbers on them before, and my first thought was if a short nail was used on the job you would be able to tell that it was not a full length nail just by looking at the head, used long handle 7lb strikers to drive them in to the hardwood, I think the 3 would be quite flat once it was in. I do like Georg's comment below, he is probably right.
Большое спасибо, у нас сейчас прекрасная погода, согревайтесь и отправляйтесь в мастерскую позже, когда сможете, я желаю вам всего наилучшего в ваших проектах.
Your attention for details and patiense are amaising. We need more of this in our lifes, we are all in a hurry. Very nice work, watching this from Romania.
Thank you very much, I agree with you 100%, life is very busy now and we need to shut that out, even if it's just for a while, and do the things you love with out feeling guilty of the time "wasted" I appreciate your comment and greetings from Australia.
Thank you Earl, in projects that people are going to look at because it is different etc, it is nice to clean it up, the extra bit of time is a feel good thing too. If its just a hook/shelf bracket it is not quite as important, just pump them out. I think it is a good habit to have, thank you for your comment.

Gavin, if you're not careful, somebody might get the idea that you know what you're doing LOL. That's a dandy looking set of hangers. I think I might just go to my workshop and see if I can make a set similar to these. ( I wonder if I can mine to look half as good as the set you've made?) Thanks for giving me a 'push' to go do something in my shop.
Thank's very much Reg, I am glad you like my work, I wish you the best for your projects, I am glad I am getting you back in the shop, enjoy the time mate.
I tried to make something very similar to this but with railroad spikes as the hooks. But when I welded to two pieces of flat bar together the same way you did with the holes in the back the two pieces warped real bad in the middle. I think the back plate on mine needed to be thicker

Gees you're really good at double checking your measurements, centres etc. It adds so much value and you can ask for the big dollars.
