- I make a Twisted Steel Rebar Industrial Style Handle. I love the look of industrial furniture and all the decor that comes with it, and this handle has the look I like. I hope you enjoy my video of the metal twist handle, it was a lot of fun to make a nice MIG welding project.
The wide flat bar is 6mm thick, 50mm wide, and 225 long. The small flat bar is 6mm thick 32mm wide and 57mm long. The rebar is 7mm rebar. The distance between the two uprights is 145mm.
The main tools used, are a MIG welder, angle grinder, drill, and bench vise.

Always use all the correct safety gear, and use your tools safely, I am not a good role model for this.
Hope you found something of use in my video or at least found it entertaining.

Note: When you bend metal/rebar, you naturally weaken it. Bending it cold will normally cause fine cracks, and it may even break if you put enough strain on the rebar or bend it in the same place too many times. Do not rely on cold-bent steel/rebar to support a load. I love the look of industrial furniture and all the decor that comes with it, and this shelf bracket has the look I like. I’m going to tell a fellow that I know about this channel, he does this sort of work, he might see some ideas that he can use.
Thank you Sir for this video
I made a set sold them for $120 us dollars have been asked for more and other designs your videos a unbelievable good thank you
this guy is the perfect example of old school style, he doesn't need fancy tools and equipment like most of the other guys but he still got the job done.
Thank you very much, I appreciate your comment.
Я в молодости работал слесарем-инструментальщиком, мне очень нравится видеть вашу работу.
Большое спасибо, я ценю ваш комментарий.
Awesome!. 👏 👏 👏 You are amazing, Gavin!. Nice to hear from you again. Take care, dear friend.
Thank you very much Eider, I appreciate your comment. Keep safe.
That’s great. I would have twisted longer sections and cut them altogether, rather than have the four spread ends.👏
Thank you very much, I am glad you liked it. I have made handles like that, and thought they looked a bit plain, I thank you for your suggestion. Cheers!
Нет предела Вашей фантазии и нет предела Вашему мастерству.
Большое спасибо, я ценю ваш комментарий, очень приятно сказать.
I'm into armwrestling at the moment and I made my first table out of common tubing and such but had the idea of using rebar and twisting it for the legs and you gave me an idea! Why not make the handles for the table out of the same twisted rebar with a metal knob on top! Thanks for the cool content sir!
Thank you very much, your table sounds like it will look great, I wish you the best for your project.
I honestly can say this man has taught me so many tricks in these clips . Guys a legend

So soothing to watch you Lad. I always try to learn 1 new nack when watching these kinda things. You've just taught me , drilling a counter sunk gives me penetration on a tack. Love it. Everyday is a school day 👍
Thank you very much, I am glad you liked it. I appreciate your comment.
Ok, you did it. I went to Lowe's, bought some 3/8" rebar, and made a sweet letter opener, bent the rebar to make a very comfortable handle. Please, keep posting.
That is awesome news, Thank you very much, I wish you the best for your future projects.

You must be lucky! I would never be able to find a piece of square tubing to fit perfectly over flat bar like that for leverage! Another good one Gavin! Thanks!
Thank you very much, I am glad you liked it. I have a bit of a collection of steel pulled off things and salvaged, sometimes I am lucky and it fits what I am doing, and this was a lovely fit.
Really enjoy watching you product such beautiful items with the simplest of tools and materials.

Daughter likes to collect old used railroad spikes. Likes to paint them and give away to neighbors. They needed to be cleaned before paint and didn’t want to wire brush. Threw them in cement mixer with sand blast media and tumbled for few hours. Worked perfectly for smaller rusted steel.
That is a nice simple way to do it, and while it is happening you can be doing other things, instead of being on the wire brush, thank you for your comment.
That was my favorite video among so many good ones that you have shared.

Those small diameter rebar twisted together like that would make one helluva strong handle. I'd dare say you could bolt that to a small engine block and pick it up without bending it. Looks good too.🤛
Thank you very much, I agree the strength in twisted things is amazing, just like ropes made from weak fibres.
