Thanks for this great recipe! I use anchovy paste for convenience, a must-have flavor in this dressing. I also added a splash of red wine vinegar just because. Now I want Caesar salad every week.
Amazing recipe. I tried it without the fresh garlic as it gives me too much reflux. Surprisingly the anchovies didn’t taste as strong as I thought. This recipe is a keeper. Thanks
in your full instructions, you say blend everything but the oil first. one problem or concern i have: the strong acid from the lemon juice can destroy enzymes in the garlic that help form strong garlic flavors. these could come out if you chop and mash the garlic by hand on the cutting board. but these would get destroyed by the acid if you blend that in first. so i wonder if it turns out different by using the blender and putting the lemon juice in early. otherwise i do recognize that most of the instructions are the same process as making a mayo, add all that oil at the end to slowly emulsify it as it gets blended in.
Closest attempt I’ve gotten so far - tried lots before that didn’t work. I think I’ll maybe do only one tbsp of lemon juice next time. Didn’t really seem to turn color, either. Maybe that was because I used grapeseed oil.
I cheat and added MSG rather than the anchovies, not the same but similar enough for us and the money saved goes to better quality parmesan cheese. Plus we don't have half used tins of anchovies kicking about.
The original recipe does not have garlic, mustard or yellow lemons and the oil should be olive oil. BTW, you forgot in your recipe to add mayo and ketchup.
I use a more neutral oil like avocado oil since it allows the flavors of the dressing to come through. You can also use a light, fruity olive oil if you’d like.
Its mayo with garlic and anchovies. If you want to make mayo by hand fine, i guess, but if you're not making the salad tableside i see no point as this process is mostly for aesthetics, often in overpriced establishments. Just buy or make quality mayo on hand and stirr in the anchovie and garlic paste with some romano, salt and pepper. Still, a fast and accurate video none the less: i just woulda pointed out using mayo is a great shortcut

I am going to love it! Thank you! I could never understand why my dressing was never smooth and it's because I wasn't using grated parm, I think.

Amazing recipe. I tried it without the fresh garlic as it gives me too much reflux. Surprisingly the anchovies didn’t taste as strong as I thought. This recipe is a keeper. Thanks
No, you
Must have tums ready after, you must include fresh garlic.
Can this be kept in the refrigerator? If so, how long?
How long will this hold in the fridge?
how long does it last in the fridge?

I don't see here or on your website how long this dressing will stay fresh in the fridge. Please advise! Thanks.
Are raw egg yolks necessary?
hi around how long would this dressing stay fresh in the fridge?
It will last 2 to 3 days when refrigerated.
i just use dukes mayonaise instead of raw egss and oil!! good recipe this is the correct one lol so many that dont have it right on youtube lol
How many calories?
I’m grateful for this video! I just enjoyed my own homemade Caesar Dressing for the first time because of your video! And yes, I did kiss the cook😅!
You are so welcome! We love inspiring others.
what can i use instead of anchovies? would bacon be good to go?
No. Bacon would not be good. Use capers in place of anchovies.
Vegan version please!!!
If you don’t like anchovies use crispy bacon chopped into fine pieces instead.
Instead of using a few anchovies, can I use some anchovy paste and if so, how much is not too much. Dina
Worcestershire is a must and not really an option ...
Closest attempt I’ve gotten so far - tried lots before that didn’t work. I think I’ll maybe do only one tbsp of lemon juice next time. Didn’t really seem to turn color, either. Maybe that was because I used grapeseed oil.
why need to add salt if anchovies is soooooo salty

Thanks gordon ramsey for the recipe😂😂😂

Mayo has an aftertaste that ruins Caesar dressing. Uncultured swine
Amazing thanks for the recipe!!
