whenever I want to learn a concept in 10 minutes or less with no extraneus BS and subtle cutting humor I go to your videos. Nice job. Keep them coming!
I have a Nissan 370z that had intake and exhaust mods done to improve flow efficiency and then a dyno tune to optimize the F/A ratios and ignition timing across the rev range. I didn't ask for but I got a very slight burble tone that occurs sometime on deceleration. I have to admit that it does sound good and is apparently not damaging the engine or catalytic converter, so I'm not going to change it. I think the main drawback is that it's causing to use a little more gas than it normally would. Stock, the engine was so quiet that you could hardly tell it was running unless you were looking at the tachometer.
Great explanation, really appreciate it. I'm driving a Jeep Sahara with the 3.6 Pentastar and I've installed an Edelbrock Supercharger, running the Edelbrock tune. She runs great and dyno'd 330 to the rear wheels (manual transmission) with 33" tires but she needs a bit more growl. Still has stock intake and exhaust, so looking at an axle back to open it some and maybe a small amount of burble to seal the deal.
At the risk of showing my age, I vividly remember the slow cars at Le Mans in 1978 were the ones that made all the noise. Blam.....blam..... blamblamblam on the overrun into the chicane, and then way more noise coming out. The really fast cars: the Alpine Renaults and the Martini Porsches were comparatively quiet. Sometimes it felt like all you could hear was the turbo whine as they went past with a whoosh.
Hi Mr MZopyrus! Im a learning auto mechanic student and i just have to express my humble thanks to you for making these quality, informitive videos about cars, tools etc. So good quality, informative videos! You allso tend to get in deeper with the details and all the graphs etc really helps and makes a very good informative package! And lots of litle and bigger things i did not know, or understand but now do, all thanks to you sir! You sir deserve much love and followers indeed! All the best for you! Liked and subbed, cheers!
Focus on the small basic things before diving into Tuning ECUs. I'm a 3rd year Auto Technician apprentice I can tell you No qualified mechanic likes having a student wanting to run before they can walk. Learn what the things are first. Then learn how they work. Only when you understand how the whole system works you can understand why it does what it does & how to then change it. Without blowing it all up.
I had a v6 Audi Q8. Had the catalytic converter and the silencer taken off and put a custom encaustic and omg it sounds amazing! Having a stage 1 tune installed next week and am getting so pop and gurgles added to it as well :]
My VW Bug has the BEST Burbles compared to...... Just kiddin'. I don't have a Bug; however, I ain't kiddin' about my C6 Corvette. She was set up for Track Days and runnin' NA and 535hp to the ground she growls, bites and "Burbles" quite well. Especially since I have exhaust cutouts. Love the content, Broba Fett! 🍺
Hey thanks for your Videos. Understánding these tables with Fuel Ignition and Air are very helpful and easy to understand. Your way to talk to the camera are very cool and real. Thx for your work. Driving BMW E46 325Xi Stock ECU.
Amazing video man! Really clear, my boxster 981 with PSE does bang and pop so sweetly I really struggle to find a better sounding car on the market. But learning now that this can actually be programmed to match one's personal taste, mind blowing! Thanks
I did this using hondatas fk8 burble tune addition as of the recent update. I’m fbo and noticed that when driving the car itself has an interesting rev hang. It has two stages when tuning, type S oem sound or full ak47 slaughterhouse mode (i made the name up). The question i guess i have is, for tuning the fk8s what’s the long term effect if it’s subtle and set to a low burble. I’m also using an off the shelf tune with phareable at stage 2 and paid for the revisions. I’m a dumbass with tuning and i applaud those that have an amazing understanding of how to tune.
Vw Golf R mk6. It's more like a pop and bang instead of a high pitch crackle. My is not crazy loud it's like and couple of pop pop pop. Tune is Integrated Engineering Stg2 pro with the Intake manifold. It's nice.
2014 Veloster Turbo - they started doing it from the factory with the N in 2019, so it’s mostly just modernizing it. Imo, the N’s 2.0L theta is great if you’re going to do little or no work, but the 1.6L Gamma actually has a much higher horse power ceiling.
rom raider ftw. my s52 sounded gnaaaaaarly in the early 2000s. fun fact, the new g series mx40i cars , they burble hard in sport+ the cats just hide it. if you put a catless exhaust with cutouts its already gnarly sock. my m240i with a locked ecu used to sound like gunshots and the downshift overrev from the factory is enough to make it spit and pop. the tuning programs only make the oem burbles louder/longer. i have mine tuned out now so it only makes one pop between gearshifts and its very rb26ish. reccomend all my bmw brothers get rid of popcorn and use the shift cut to show off instead.
Bro, my first time watching your channel and let me tell you 🤗that you are direct and straight to the point covering all angles. ✅️ 💯Great information and encouraging. Keep it up bro.
Something for thought, instead of completely disabling fuel cut, set the timer higher. If it’s at 0.4seconds, put it at 1.5, then it can burble for 1.5seconds and stop
Bro I like your videos your videos is very knowledgeable and I'm also in field but my dream is tuning bro thanks for you sharing your knowledge with us and and thanks again .🙃
5:30 This sounds like you glossed over something really dangerous here, Doesn't this mean that if you go past redline there won't be a fuel cutoff? or I'm understanding it wrong?
Great video dude. Explaining fast and in very understandable way, i dont see why would we dislike the video when u teach us so much. And also to mention my car has Stage1 + pops bangs and it is awesome. And of course its a VW 🤣
My z4 has burbles stock but just very very slight ones. id like to make em louder ever so slightly keeping the nature of the sound but making em slightly more exciting
hi i think you good at explaining turning stuff ok i am going to tune my a6 c5 2.7t add more boost and i won't my engine get into detonation so i need things cooled so what afr i have to set 11.5 or 10.5
Great video!! Thank you very much! Curious about one thing, with BMWs since they introduced OPF exhaust filters for the EU cars and then for US spec cars the amount of pops and burbles front the stock exhaust pretty much disappeared. There’s a video here on UA-cam where they compare a 2020 to a 2021 M340i where you can clearly ear the difference. Does the OPF filter has this side effect?
Mazda 3 turbo hatchback 😂 it already burbles sometimes but I can't seem to get it to do it at will, every single time. It has a CS cat back exhaust with a JB4 piggyback tune
I want a very mild one on a '22 Swift Sport ZC33S. Nothing even like multiple pops, just one solid pop during my upshifts/high RPMs. I know its not burble, but still same concept (I think).
I have a ‘24 X3 M Comp. I added a JB4, Dinan axel back and resonator delete. Cold start is great but has almost no engine noise until the upper RPMs. Some say I need down pipes to get the sound I want, but I think that I will still be throwing a dart without a true ECU tune. Thoughts? Experience? Thanks
Have a mazda atenza/6 that im looking at getting a burble tune on, dont want anything too excessive as want to keep it as long as possible but something fun to drive, just going for a slight burble tune, doing a straight pipe into 2 rps mufflers (they have a pretty low nice sounding tone for a 4 cyl, so its not going to sound like your typical straight piped honda civic) 😂
Very good explanation for this subject. Me personally I hate it because it is so rampant here in Nyc. I got a little bit of a burble sound on my exhaust just from HFCs and a dual exhaust. Also I live in Nyc and I have a Nissan 350z. I would like to have my car tuned but am worried that I will not pass inspection. I was told by people tuners do not disable the o2 sensor but they disable the codes associated with the o2 sensor such as p420 and p430. everywhere on the internet is see ignition tables with positive degree values. I assume 0° is tdc. But if i pull up some stock backups from BMW M52 ECUs there are negative values like -28 at low rpm. Why's that?
Trying to achieve a subtle burble after liftoff and maybe a nice pop between shifts on my 2008 Alfa Romeo 147, but im afraid of messing something up. I would go get it tuned, but they only do my type of car on the other side of the world..

how is it better ?
great video , my biggest problem is the ECU . Having an Obd2b , looks like it's not tunable
