Make sure to get one with the little feet. You need to have them to turn it upside down after you take it out of oven. I got mine from the goodwill years ago.

My mom (I'm 65) said put the bowl in the freezer while you are preparing the other things. A cold bowl beats egg whites better, and cream of tartar makes a difference.

It packs it and makes it settle which reduced volume a lot. Growing up, my mom taught me to make it and she always cautioned me to only smooth it with the spatula (an offset spreader works best) and be careful not to jostle it too much or I'd lose the volume.

Just made this today for the first time for my birthday. My pan is not exactly like yours and my oven cooks too hot but I improvised on the time and crossed my fingers. It came out great except that the parchment stuck to the bottom and tore it a little. But I’ll take that for my first try. And it is delicious! Going to put macerated strawberries and whip cream on top. Love it! Thanks for the recipe!

That's what I used to do with recipes calling for caster sugar if i only had granulated.😂 And since I've always used weight measurements, knowing the total measurements of the seeeteners would make life a little simpler.

You need an angel-food pan that is nonstick. Then your cake can climb the sides as it bakes and you can flip it upside down right out of the oven and have a super light cake and not a horse biscuit. I think her recipe looks good though.
Doing low carb for a while and inching towards keto. My wife bought an angel food cake the other day and I took a tiny nibble of a piece and as good as it tasted, I was saddened that I couldn't indulge. Looks like I can now. :)

Bundt pans really aren't a good choice because you can't line them with parchment. Do you have a springform pan? That's a better choice, although it has no central column to help the angel food cake climb.
No that won't work at all. For one thing, angel food cake ONLY ever takes egg white. For another, you'd throw off the wet to dry ratio and the cake would fail.
I've made this but unfortunately it did not turned out as fluffy as I expected. I've made it with only 6 egg whites and had proportioned the rest of the ingredients, however I found it to be extremely filling hahaaa... I guess the egg white protein will make you feel fuller!?? I failed because I've underbaked it a bit, the cake was mushy and fell apart hahaa
I mean people are all excited about pmsf bread but they get wigged out at how hard angel food cake is? Also, we just used a metal rectangular cake pan on the farm when i was a kid. Angelfood cooked up just fine in that.

I also used a little less sweetener in the mix & added a layer of swerve brown sugar & cinnamon in the middle & a tiny bit on the bottom. I added a simple glaze to the top when in was cool. It made more of a “cinnamon roll coffee cake”. That’s what I love about this recipe, it’s so easy to mix it up with small changes!! Thank you for another amazing recipe ❤️

No... it will shrink like crazy on the sides. Angel food needs the bare metal pan to rise properly.

I made the oatmeal cookies they are amazing thank you but they are very soft and break what can i do
I used the swerve confectionery and it had a sandy grit texture. I thought it would be not gritty.
This cake isn't gritty so I am not sure why that's happening for you.
What about subbing Red Rhino Suculose as a sweetener? Bake ver convection oven? I drop 25 degrees for convection.
I do not recommend sucralose in any form in this recipe.

Why not place dry ingredients into a food processor? That's what the French do for macarons to aerate the almond flour.

Is the almond extract just a preference thing? Because regular angel food cake doesn't contain it, only vanilla.
It's whatever you like. But many classic angel food recipes do contain a bit of almond extract. :)

Yes you can! Swerve is mostly erythritol but it's a little sweeter so you may need to add a bit more plain erythritol or a bit of stevia.
