New Xbox One X BROKEN in less than 2 days

- Hi, unfortunately my Xbox One X has broken. I got it on the 7th November and now on the 9th November it refuses to power up. It was working fine and the console has not been moved (or dropped!) to cause the fault.
The power lead is working fine so the issue it with the Xbox One X console itself. I have tried unplugging it for 10 seconds to reset the power supply and unplugging all the cables but nothing makes it work. Hopefully it is not a common issue and I have just been unlucky.
I show in the video how to remove a stuck disc as my Forza Horizon 3 was in the Xbox One X before it went faulty. If you know of this issue or any other issues with the Xbox One X please add it to the comments as a 'Google' search didn't show any issues with the internal power supply or any other faults since release.

UPDATE!!!!! (13th Nov 2017)
I took it back to Smyths (the store I bought it from) the next day after the video and although the website said they were out of stock they had a few in stock because of pre orders that were not collected. They tested the faulty 'X' and gave me another one without any fuss, they said I was the first one to come in with a problem so the issue isn't widespread. This 2nd Xbox One X is so far working well. The only issue I have had with the 2nd one is the HDMI stopped displaying, I unplugged it from the back of the console and then plugged it back in again and it displayed properly again. The HDMI cable (the plug part) did feel very hot!!!!! I am also turning off 'instant on' just in case there is an issue with the PSU. (just being a bit paranoid).

Same thing finally happen to my One X which I've had for a few years but I have an internal power supply unit coming in the mail so I can replace the failed one in the console. Yet on the bright side my original day one edition Xbox One still with its original power brick, works flawlessly and I also have a gaming pc to keep me occupied

Unless it is like the xbox headset where the wire is so cheaply made to break. But they would not put that little effort into their console. Damn dude when I got mine i bought an LG OLED 65 in. The switch and the Xbox One X all together. It almost came to $5000 USD. And you know what is fucked up? Both the Xbox crapped and burned out. And then a window blew out of the frame behind our TV smashing it on the floor and cracked the screen. Then the day we went and bought a brand new Xbox One X from Best Buy. The old one that crapped out started working. 😑

Why pull the power cable from the wall socket after switching the switch off at the socket? Throwing the switch is all you need to isolate the power.

I remember buying a 360 from woolworths(!) and it powered on but the disc tray never ejected, took it back for replacement and that one died on the 13th day. Swapped for Ps3 and it was fine. Back to present day, and both my xbox one s and ps4 are working fine - but my friend bought a one x from Tesco and there was a problem with the Internet on it - WiFi and through cable--so he couldn't set it up.
I have my Xbox One X 5 month and I dont have Problems :D All work I love this Console :D

i think because the boards and components made prior to 2005 were made of a higher quality than those we have today.
i have my fat ps2, an old dell optiplex 270, an original xbox and a 2002 old gaming pc. all bought in 2004. none of them had failed me to this day.

I’ve had two now, both have broken inside 6 months, first one froze and wouldn’t process anything, second one is staring up and showing error codes everytime.
When Microsoft said the Xbox One would be backwards compatible with the Xbox 360 I didn’t think they’d make it this accurate.

I already see what the problem. I noticed when you pull on the power cord is because you are wiggling it and you just damaged the lead on the inside.
