I just started my camping UA-cam channel this past summer. I am television producer but I love the outdoors and camping, but I kinda suck at it, so one of my first purchases was a ferro rod, and I love that thing, I still can't believe how well it works. The other thing that I love is a simple aputure light for shooting my night scenes and campfire shots. Thanks for the video, I head out on my first winter camping trip this week.

What my wife and I did was use those sleeping bag liners as sort of sheets to keep the inside of the bag cleaner, since it's a lot easier to launder than the bag

Can I make a suggestion on making coffee? All you need to do is pour the grounds and water into a metal cup, half the water you need for the coffee, bring it to a boil and wait until all the grounds are thoroughly mixed into the water, then pour the remaining cooler water over top. The cool water will shock the grounds to the bottom of the cup. Let it sit over the fire for another 45 seconds to a minute just make sure that it's back up to temp after pouring the cool water in it and then drink. It's one of the best cups of coffee you'll ever have; just watch out for that last sip. It's way more bushcrafty too; all you need is the coffee and the metal cup and you're good to go. I actually make my coffee at home this way a whole lot. Cheers!

@@BrooksandBirches i dont know how that goes... the way most people do it where i live is just put the coffee and the sugar into the cup or mug and poor hot water over it... then you put just a bit of cold water and that makes the tailings all sit neatly at the bottom... by far the fullest coffee flavor i know... i tried many shops and machines and occasionally they are ok but usually on the watery side for me
