Great video. Looked very cold. Instead of taking a large pack of the wet wipes go to Wal Mart or other drug store where they sell travel size soaps and what nots and pick up a travel size pack of wipes. They contain a dozen or so wipes in them and will fit nicely in your thigh pocket or inside jacket pocket. And when needed they're thawed or even a bit warm. I carry them when deer and elk hunting and they work great.
Thats a great idea!! I usually prefer when I've used up most of the wipes so that way they can fit in my pocket! I'm headed up to Walmart tomorrow so I will grab a couple if I can! Thanks
Your videos are always enjoyable - probably because we aren't out in the cold freezing are willies off. hahah. They are always well done and just fun to watch. Stay safe you are awesome
Haha thanks! Yeah it can be a little chilly but honestly the worst part is when you first get out the car. Once you get moving and get acclimated its not too bad
So I guess you didnt use the wet whipes 😅 Back to basics in this video . The hard wood give you a sweat hey . You dont have much snow out there , here a little north from you in Québec, we have snowtorm one after the other. If you go 2 hours north from Montréal you have more than 4 foot of snow on the ground . We had a late start with snow but are back to normal now . Thanks for the video ! Maybe you should bring back the karate to help you break your logs ;)
I should bring back the Karate!! It didn't help doing a shoulder work out the day before I went out, not to mention having had the same saw blade on that saw since I got it. I think it's about time for an upgrade. Maybe not a winter trip but I'm planning on getting up to Lac Manicouagan one day. I see it on google earth all the time
Rob, was that about the spiciest ramen you've had in a long time? Made the same mistake buying that myself. Surprised you don't have an underquilt for the hammock; it really makes a difference when it's cold. Nice peaceful, relaxing video..thank you.
nice video Rob, where did you get the unigear thermos i see in every video, i cant find one anywhere, its the perfect size. keep the videos coming, always enjoyable.
Thanks Brian! Yeah I know man I’m sorry about that, I actually did some promo work for them a couple of years ago and every year they send me a Christmas gift and that little thermos is last years gift but they don’t have it on sale which sucks because I love it!
Burrrr, that looked cold, tho with your gear you have a fighting chance. I love the candle thingie you made. How was the trip back home? I hoped you might get a camp in there, but I know the family and friends come first. Happy New year...here in Texas we just had 4 days around lower 20's. Thats rare for us, so much time below freezing,, alot of ice too. I assume it part of that global warming trend, just the flip side of it. Any like the new gear, or new to me anyway. Thanks for taking us along. One of the last vids you did, at the camp site, did you get any hunting in, or is it too late there in the season? Bye Rob.
Cheers Jay!! Yeah unfortunately I didn't get a chance to camp when I was back home, I also couldn't bring too much stuff on the plane either. I saw it was pretty chilly down in Texas! We're about to get hot with that polar vortex 50 below wind chills
Great Video 👍🏻 Looked like a beautiful spot ‼️💯 So nice to hear the water flowing at night 👍🏻 Winter Camping is awesome ‼️💯 I liked that hammock too 👍🏻 Quick question/ what was the R rating on that sleeping pad you used ? Thanks for sharing, take care, Stay Strong Be LIMITLESS 👍🏻🇺🇸
Thanks buddy 👍 I love camping next to rivers! It's so soothing and helps to fill the silence on the winter nights The R-Value on that pad is 6.9 As far as I know it's one of the highest R-Value pads on the market. Great for cold nights www.thermarest.com/sleeping-pads/fast-and-light/neoair-xtherm-max-sleeping-pad---past-season/neoair-xtherm-max.html
Rob what makes a man want to get out and do this kind of stuff ? I camp year round too and ask myself this question alot and have never came up with a good answer. Keep them coming and freezing your buns off !
There was a point in the afternoon when the wind was blowing and I was huddled in the sleeping bag to stay warm! Once the wind stopped and I was cutting firewood it was ok. It didn't get really cold until after dark
Mors kohansky used clear plastic in his "super shelter". Lets the fire's radiant heat get into your shelter. You are kicking ass. Best to you and yours. Can't remember, isn't your name Rob? Mine is Michael. Or Mike. Peace.
I'm all good thanks Doug! 2022 wasn't a very good year but I'm trying to get my groove back and find the right balance again. It was really hard for a while because the channel just stopped growing and I was working hard at it. Being an outdoor UA-camr is a big commitment when you have a job and a family and a house. It's a full 24 hour's of your life every week to make a 20-30 minute video and then when you get put on UA-cam naughty list for doing things you enjoy it really just deflates you but I'm trying
@Brooks & Birches well don't blame yourself for your channel not growing. You do put out some good content. Blame it on UA-cam. I hear a lot of creators complaining their channel isn't doing well. Don't let it discourage or you won't find that groove. If you can't find it, make your own.
Hey thanks for this dude! Im slowly getting back into hammock camping and I’m seeing that hammock camping looks pretty nice and easy in the winter as in tge summer. Is that a haven hammock system by chance? Thanks again!
I absolutely love your videos. Your earlier ones were much better when you would actually talk through it just to be silent and not go through the things you have to do to make your campsite. I miss that a lot. Try to get back into it you talking through it is what always made them better than the rest.
You used to talk to your audience while you took them with you and now you rarely speak. People watched you because you have a great personality. Your views have suffered since you quit talking I know I don’t watch as often anymore because of that reason. Your channel was different from the millions of other non speaking adventure shows now you just blend in. Speak to your audience and they will come back.. just some feedback from a subscriber
Regarding the previous comment about you not talking as much as you used to. It’s really not necessary to talk constantly in your videos. You’re out there for peace and quiet, enjoying the serenity. You have two ears and one mouth. You should listen twice as much as you speak.
Like your dog digging form. You made your dog proud with that form.
Lol well dogs are much more efficient at digging then us humans!
1st ever: snickers catch, clean cook. Lol. Great video bro.
haha that's a good one Derek! made me chuckle
HELLO. EXCELLENT. CAMPING.
Thanks 👍
Awesome thank you for taking us along with you
Glad you enjoyed it Karen!!
I really like snow camping videos. Yours exemplify basic rope skills along with videography. Keep up the good work!
Glad you like them! I'll do my best! Cheers
Nice adventure. Enjoyed seeing the Roman Candle. Have a great week end. Regards, Randy in Arizona.
Great video! Loved the rocket wood lantern!!
Thanks!! I thought it would be a cool idea to try and make a couple to go around the camp site
Agree DougOutside...Rob, miss hearing your comments and narration!!! It makes the videos much more engaging and interesting. Thanks!
Great choice of a candy bar
You’re not you when you’re hungry! Cheers Bob
Enjoyed the peacefulness of your video!
Thanks Jody! I had fun when I was warm enough lol

Hi Rob! Bbbbrrrrrrr what cold weather ! Awesome video my friend. You are good at woods! Congratulations. Very warm hug my friend.
Hi Miguel!! I need that warm hug! Gracias amigo!
Another awesome video. Thank you keep them coming

simple and effective, perfect!!
Thanks Joe!! I'm really enjoying the hammock these days

Might want to get an under quilt and an over quilt. Looks like it was good trip . Have a good one
I've been thinking about an under quilt for a while but I'm trying to be good and not spend any money lol
Snow camping is just 😲🥶
My dose of relaxation ❤️❤️❤️🇵🇭
It's my relaxation too!!
@@BrooksandBirches Bring your dog more often😉
Love these ones with snow. Hope you and the family are well. Take care! Can’t wait for the next one!!
Thank you Bobbie! So far so good buddy! Same to you
Hey Rob, always great to see you in nature. doing knots with freezing fingers is hell. Thanks for sharing. Regards Jens
Cheers Jens! You can say that again! The fingers get pretty sore very quick
They are sooooo hot. Can't believe you put all the chilli in. We like the Buldok Carbonara ones. Can take a full sachet of chilli in those ones.
Soooooo hot!! I couldn't finish the last couple of bites! My lips were burning and my nose was running so bad lol
@@BrooksandBirches certainly clears the sinuses out. Had you tried them before or was it a rookie Buldok error?. 😁🤪

Fantastic 🥰🥰🥰
Thanks Adriana 🤗
@9:05 Oh boy. Always colder in the bottoms and windier in the tops. You are doing it man. Appreciate your effort. Don't freeze your nards.
Cheers brother!! Yeah that wind was ripping right through me!
Great overnighter Rob, looking foreword to your next adventure.. All the Best and Happy Trails !
Cheers Scott!! I'm hoping to get in a couple of really cool ones in the coming weeks
Another great adventure Rob!
Thanks Nancy!! I had fun
Looks really cold Rob. You must have a hardy soul. Great episode as usual!!
Thanks Robert! You know what they say, if you're going to be dumb you've gotta be tough. Unfortunately the latter part isn't true lol have a good one

The World's Smallest Swedish Torch™!
Haha yeah I figured I'd make a little Swedish candle!
Nice one, Rob. We've not had any snow here. Although we did have thick ice for about a week. It's so mild, I'm considering getting the bike out. 😎
Nice!! I wish I hadn't sold mine but I built a truck camper instead lol. It's going it be down around -30 the next couple of days here...

I don't know if you have the Sidney Rancher blade on that saw. If not, get one!
Thanks buddy! I haven't had a new blade on that since I got it so it's time to switch it out
I don’t know how you managed to make a FREEZING camp look a bit cozy. Good job!

Can't say I've ever had one Kimberely! Is it a chocolate bar?
@@BrooksandBirches oh how long ago did you leave the UK?. Snickers used to be called Marathons in the UK?. 😬
What jacket did you put on? The Amazon link did not work. Thanks
The yellow one is a Rat Xenon jacket but it's the older version that I believe is discontinued now
For sometime now, something has been different about your videos. And not just that you barely say anything. Hopefully everything is all good!!!!
