- It's here!! Well, almost but it's nice to be out tarp camping in some snow again. Wet, windy, rainy cold camp but it also was the first time this year I felt like I've had the woods all to myself. Not another should in sight for miles

Usually with that kind of weather I would say you were going to be roughing it, However, after that meal and drink you had a better dinner than I did. Ha. Please next time let us know what ingredients you are putting together for the meal. It looked incredible. Thank you.
Great video! Yummy food! I usually mix a little brown sugar with my Bushmills, then add the coffee and top with heavy whipping cream...delicious!!!!
Bushmills!! And I'm over the moon that you brought a real glass. A boozy bushcraft breve on a rainy day. The retired bartender/barista/chef in me is so proud of you right now.
sound of rain, so inducing. i will sleep early tonight
That Irish coffee looked great!
nothing beats a good cup of coffee in the morning
There are also small completely enclosed tents starting at $15.
That Irish coffee pour was pretty! Nice camp set up. thanks for sharing!
Hey nice boats lad comfy winter ahead for your feet your tarp set up is badass
You know, I see a lot of channels like yours where people seem to seek out crappy weather, and God knows you've had your share, but a day outdoors is a day outdoors and camping out just never gets old. That Irish coffee looked delicious. Keep on keeping on.
Crappy weather is what people enjoy the most because the sounds of rain 🌧 and wind soothes the mind, I'm curious what would you prefer, a beautiful sunny day of camping? Not for me I choose crappy weather camping.
@@millvee1005 Same!
@@heretohear8662 If I misunderstood you I wholeheartedly apologize, peace to you.
@@millvee1005 Oh no, we are on the same page. I agree with your statement!
Love you trip friend.so awesome n wonderful.👍👍👍
I.like having to paddle out to camp.dont have any one walking threw you camp.great place.
As if you can get your hands on a bit of Pataks over there!! :)
Rain, sleet and snow, man you got a taste of it all. Great trip, and glad you had the woods to yourself.
Nice tarp pitch. Enjoyed the video. Thanks
I could feel every element - that was awesome - felt like I was there - that coffee drink looks yummy......again Rob is the man in the woods.
I just stumbled upon your channel. I grew up in rural northern MN. I don't know where you are, but it sure reminds me of home. Beautiful.
Awesome video again!!! Rob - you made me cringe - everytime that blade dragged against that plate!!! Food looked great!! Looked like a cold night!! Thanks for sharing, I always enjoy your videos!!
As a relatively new subscriber, I am familiar enough with your work to have become concerned when no whiskey was drunk before bed. You renewed my faith in you with the Irish coffe though! Enjoy both your channels!
Holy cow! First time I’ve seen one of your videos pop up on my feed in months, AND you’ve changed the channels name! Loved the video regardless, and am kinda happy I can go binge watch a bunch of your videos I’ve obviously missed. That venison looked great, and your camp looks legit as well. I look forward to seeing more from you again soon.
Hey David!! Yeah a couple of people have been saying the same thing, I'm not sure what's going on. I honestly think UA-cam is suppressing my channel at this stage because it keeps killing the growth of all my videos which sucks
@@BrooksandBirches That’s sad, because I really enjoy watching your videos. Is there anything you can do about
It? That makes me mad that they can just do that😢. I don’t understand……
Yes ! Really enjoy your fall, winter and spring camping adventures, you excel in the elements Robert, looked like lots of fun (food looked really good too, best part of the deer) !. Looking foreword to your next adventure, all the Best, Cheers and Happy Trails..
Scott, he has come a long way from the first video I watched.
Awesome job!!!!
Awesome as always! Love seeing the venison being used in your videos!
Fabulous views despite the weather
This is a beautiful place!
Good looking Deer tenderloin meal ya made, I could smell it all the way from over here ! I do believe that was Sleet instead of Hail cold frozen crap none the less.
Robert I like the way you go thru the old ashes before starting a fire. That is really being concerned for your safety. LOL but you only have that tarp, it's gonna rain cats and dogs on you. I hope you stay somewhat dry.
Beautiful scenery. Smooth lake.
I sometimes received venison sausage from a friend and I would add it to my spaghetti sauce and let it cook slowly in crock pot at supper cookup spaghetti and add sauce excellent
That looks so good Coffee and bacon wonderful video man fkn a Robert
Nice video, but I noticed that instead of a rubber spatula you should invest in a metal one it is stronger and will allow you to turn your food better. I also suggest a folding chair that campers have so you won't soil or wet your pants. The coffee you made looked awesome, I'm enjoying your videos and would like to see your dogs more too.
Here I am at home making grilled cheese and tomato soup and Rob is out camping out cooking a 5 star meal! Good luck in the morning! Maybe that big boy will show himself after a few rattles and grunts. Thanks again for sharing all your adventures with us. Cheers from Western Kentucky!
Yes!
You need a proper fixed blade camp knife for cooking prep and other chores. Even a $15 Mora is good for your tasks. TOPS is my go-to fixed blade knife company.
Pemandangan danaunya...sangat indah... Camping disana...bikin betah
Love the Irish accent and the coffee!
Great video
I miss camping, thanks for sharing!
this is very cool, I really enjoy it, from looking for firewood not near the camp site, until you cook and all the things you do inspire and learn a lot for me uncle. new friend here support you. may i be your friend..?
warm greetings from Lavameru in Indonesia
Great camp. Be full on winter soon. Let the winter games begin. Gonna need a spot not so "devoid of decent firewood" lol
Great job cooking in the rain and hail! ..not easy to do in those conditions.
Good to see you back in the woods . I see you still do not have a BIVI, your going to ruin that nice bag . Thanks for sharing , be safe . Next time , tow some big loges behind the canoe .
Campsite is well used and pretty. I would have opted for the area where you found the firewood, less work and more privacy. Just my observation, maybe that wasn't an option. Thank You for the video.
Where have ye been ya olde scalawag. New name and months without an upload?
When I saw the backstrap I thought Lamb, then remembered where you were. Seeing you cut it I thought Venison then you pulled out the Rogan Josh sauce I went could still be Lamb. It looked that good I'm having it tonight for dinner. My wifevsuggested Indian the other night too. Thanks you for making my mind up for me.
Thanks for sharing this rob I really enjoy your videos Keep it up Bro
I would love to have some snow here but it will probably will fall down around January. Amazing video as always! Greetings from The Netherlands
Greetings from the Bighorn Mountains! I was beginning to think that you had fallen off a cliff in Idaho last summer. I don't know what happened to the other channel I followed for a couple of years, but glad to know you're still at it.
Great to see you out the weather changes there are like the Lake District on steroids 😀👍👌❤️
You can take the man out of Yorkshire but you can't take the Yorkshire out of the man. Nothing beats a good curry!
Can’t beat a good curry on a night like that. The scenery also looked great. We don’t have much to look at here in Kansas. Another good watch Rob!
Hello rob. Very good video. Too bad that autumn has such a changing climate, snow, rain, hail ... it is very annoying when you are outdoors, but you know how to manage it very well. I think the whiskey from Irish coffee burns a little, doesn't it? Anyway it would be great. Bon appetit and see you very soon. A hug from Spain
Great vid bro… keep it up! 👍👍
Although that dirty 4 letter word has yet to hit my area in Western MA , it's coming & coming soon!
I have some friends of mine who I guess have a cabin up past Bethel in ME. somewhere & they were saying certain parts up there got snow not long ago.
Hello from central Massachusetts !
Thank u
That meal looks fucking amazing
Hi what's the make of the trousers your wearing.
I love rain when I'm inside, but it must be very unpleasant when you're camping. LOL. At least it didn't rain the whole time. Bright orange rope - good call. I'm always wondering how often you forget the lines are there and ring your neck!
Awesome ! Been to that exact area a couple of times, I recognized the dam at the put in, great area !
I like that kind of content, good video.
I gotta say your food looks delicious.
Hey Robert the Rogan Josh curry simmer sauce looks so fkn good still trying to find it it’s like gold on line
Awesome!!!
That curried venison with naan....mmmm.
The link for your sleeping mat does not work, what kind is it please? Also what kind of knife did you use to cut your meat? Thank you.
Beautiful campsite 👍.
Always glad to see your videos and I'm still trying to find pics of your deer. Leaving myself in a few days to bowhunt in Ohio. Completely off the wall question but is there any fleece lined pants you would recommend that won't fry you while you are trekking ? Thanks
a Johnny Russell.
I've gotten a pair or 2 from LL BEANS & they didn't "fry" me.
I usually try to get the kind that look like the lining is flannel & the price all depends on who you go through, like Carhartt may be expensive, but somebody else may not be.
I forgot how much I spent on the LL BEANS pair, something like 30+ USD $, but they were worth it.
Those & maybe some long johns do the trick over on my end of the world ( Western MA., A bit more Northwest than Springfield)
Beautiful lakes. 😍
My man, great video as always, I did an overniter Tuesday night , had chicken wing and field peas with snaps for supper. Great job brother, looking for the next one. King tuff paddling into the wind huh..
Хорошая лодка. Быстро идет.
Excellent job 👏👍👌🙌😀💪
You sure know how to eat and drink well while out camping.
I knew that your next video would have that awesome deer meat in it I was waiting. Lol. Love the video as always ! Cheers brother Rob !!!
Hi, great video! Can you give us a link for the large water bag that you used with your filter? I have a BeFree, and I'd love to have more capacity for it. Thanks!
Nice tent ⛺👍👌😀
I`ll tell you why I like Rob`s videos. He has most of the knowledge, however, sometimes, he is a little bit clumsy, he`s often forgetful and I fear for his safety LOL, his channel though, is inherently human. I like him, because he must drive the armchair woodsman community to apoplexy.
😂😂😂😂Breakfast of Champions🏆🏆🏆🏆
Question; my friend have we ever camped with No foul weather ? 💪😂😂perhaps a little coffee with our whiskey😉
this would be a little advance for me ( fire making in rain ). just bought -15 C rated sleeping bag ( my other is 0 C ) plus a new camping axe still have old one for spare. ( i feel secure with that axe on me ) when the time comes i got the 👍 equipment about the only item missing is rifle ( have bow )
You are amazing man 👨❤💙
Nice..
Amazing view 😍❤♥👌✨💖😍
Hi. What video equipment do you use? Simply curious, really high quality video and sound. And, of course, wildlife nature is best, when you try it by your own...
nice vedio ,take care always safe,
Nice area mate :)
I Enjoy your vids keep up the dirt time
What kind of canoe is that?
"This peninsula is devoid of any decent firewood" may just be my favorite camping line ever. Not being funny at all. We colonists would just say "aint gots no wood round here." LOL
And...? Where in the world world is this? Still Maine??? This is my pet peeve about you outdoor adventure bush sack types! All you nave to do is say the general area you are in so maybe one day like minded kindred spirits may enjoy what belongs to Everybody.....geesh! I did enjoy your canoe adventure on The Allagash...I've been close to there a couple times, but just fishing with friends in the northern Moore head Lake tegion..Just Fabulous country up there! I miss it, but not the black flies!!!
Safe Journeys and looking forward to your future adventure shares! 🙋 ( in Iowa now)
How comes you changed the name ? Couldn’t find you for ages
Holy heck I am NOT mentally prepared for winter weather yet.
Just loved this trip, Rob. Is that the Boreal Saw you have? Don’t see it in your description. Anyway, I’m looking for one and I hear good things about them?
And, any thoughts on your tarp, is that the lightweight version or standard? If it’s the lightweight one, how’s it holding up?
Thanks so much for any info.
For the tarp I can tell you it's the lightweight one, the heavy duty one has a reinforced sewn fabric going through the middle with a lot more attachement points (I own both) by far the he lightweight one is my favorite. It is indeed the boreal saw, I've used a couple similar saw before it and the boreal was the best so far ! A keeper for sure :) sorry I'm not the one you asked but I figured I'd answer anyway !
@@kokolebest95 Thank you very much. Appreciate the info.
So Robert, did you harvest a big buck this season yet? 🙂
That meal would've fed four normal people!🤣🥩🔪 Reminds me of how I used to eat when I was a well-muscled young man.😎
Where did you get that folding grill?
What size double bladed paddle are you using?
Hey Rob, nice video. Are those Guide Gear boots you were wearing?
HP Sauce. Yes or no?
I've never seen anyone do the following so, I'm not sure it could be done or, the end result of doing it ->
Somehow lining the inside of your tent / tarp / shelter with something like pre cut pieces of Radiant Barrier or, trash bag liners.
Closest I ever saw is somebody that used what looked like tin foil to line the backside of where they set up a wood stove.
I think they did this in one of those ice fishing shanty styled tents but I can't remember.
There wasn't a thing showing them installing it, just opening up the tent, getting the stove in, setting the chimney & whatever else up & going from there.
I'm not sure what wouldn't "hurt" or ruin the inside of the tent to set up something, like, duct tape or, maybe some kind of good painter's tape.
I've seen some make a shelter out of saran wrap but that's not exactly the most eco friendly & doesn't take into consideration any ventilation you may want.
So, (great video) next time you use that curry, marinate the meat in yoghurt (and spices) - you will not be disappointed.
The coffee thing breaks the internet, well done.
