as a novice i use utube as higher education and as i good judge of people ,your my fav because you speak the honest to god thruth
That my friend made my day! pinning this
@@NUGGETSHOOTER well, make tomorrow while you're at it because I agree. Nice going and thank you.
He and his lovely wife are as real as real eh.
Most certainly
I have video where I call out a couple of the frauds by name. Maybe too aggressive but I thought I'd go for it and have a little fun. I have had folks comment on that video tell me that I am an idiot because those gold finds are real and I just don't understand. Good for a chuckle but I've had far more folks that agreed with me than disagreed. Maybe we can have some general prospecting chats together this summer.
Right Chris? You are a Geologist and can spot a fake likely better than I, but geeeeeeze some of this stuff is almost insulting lol
@@donaldlee6699 try Golden Beard media for one. It’s laughable. My own Chanel is laughable too but at least it’s true.
@@goldfools5445 gold found on a volcano? is that even possible?
@@zemetrius No.
Authenticity is the reason I value your channel. Thanks.
I appreciate that Fred
!
You always find treasure out in the desert, even without finding gold. Good tutorial my friend.🐶⛏️
Thanks Charlie
Thank you for your infectious attitude - if I don't see any glitter in my pan or see my fly line go taut with a fish I have still had a visit with Nature and you cannot beat that with a stick
I'm just starting out,. Just retired, and it's been a life long dream to have fun looking for minerals and looking for gold by panning and or metal detecting. What you said really hit home with me. Thank you, and having all that you stated like attitude, enjoying what you're doing , well , to me, that's the point!! Thanks again and happy hunting!
Sincerely
Mark Melnik
Good advice: attitude determines everything and know your equipment.
You NAILED IT there on all points!!!
Better you can not say! For me the most important thing every time I go out to look for gold is to spend a few days in nature enjoying the landscape, (seeing deer, foxes, otters, newts ... it is a great treasure) disconnected from work and the big city. Many days you clean the paradise of garbage and a few you find nuggets, but overall they are all good. Greetings Bill great video of the best tutorials 👌
Buckshot , Bullets and NUGGETS, i root for all your digs . Watch all your old and wait for your new ones. Keep diggin 😎
Thanks Rocky
Good video and thanks for the good information it has helped me out a lot
Good sound wisdom Bill, enjoy the hole experience God gave us a amazing planet take it all in.My first winter in AZ. you have some great desert out here. Keep up the goog work Bill Thank you
Good not goog,, sorry
lol Mark thanks for watching
Hi bill love your vids I sure appreciate all the hard work you put in to show us viewers true nugget hunting. DNT change a thing thanks again.
Some good info! Thank you Nugget Shooter!
I got in to that hobby in 96, Had luck just couple times and can't do it that often to far to go from where I got stuck, but it's the best hobby in the world, thanks for video 📹
Good perspective and as always, great info. It is always an adventure and the "gold" is in the entertainment, the shine is always a bonus but the true value is just getting out there and exploring
Great chat. Thank you.
LOTS o good stuff in that lil talk there, thx sir!
Thank you so much for sharing this with us. No matter what I find I love being out in the nature. I also love sharing this hobby with others on video which was a surprise to me. Sometimes you find nothing but rubbish, that is just the reality
At least you didnt try to put some stupid graph on the screen ...ha ha .....Good tips Bill, sometimes I catch myself not being patient...
Hi ya Adam, me too lol. I am old and grumpy now ya know. Thanks for watching and I sure enjoy it when you share a video!
That intro made me hit the subscribe button right away, recently purchased my first metal detector and really appreciate the tips!! Happy hunting from northern MI.
Enjoyed the video, thank you. As weather permits, I'll be shooting for placer on a grouping of claims that have long been closed. It's steep, mountainous terrain bordering a lava bed, so not the easiest area for an old man to traverse, but I'm going to enjoy being there. I've learned to pace myself and will be with family, so no mater what, I'll have found gold just by getting out there. 👍
Excellent advice! God Bless You & God Bless America 🇺🇸 🙏 ❤️
Good work sir, digging trash is a well known secret calling. 🤫
You gotta dig up, pick up and scoop up all trash possible. It’s a drag finding tons as you well know.
No matter..
It’s a solid good practice and principle!
Dig it up, put it in your pocket, take it home, trash it.
Thanks much Bill
✌️PT
You got that right!
Wise words of experience, thank you for the video.
Great advice! Thanks Bill 🤘
I have been watching your videos for some time now they are informative, interesting, and relaxing thank you Bill for taking time out to share them with us.
You are very welcome Steve
I have two gold detectors and I haven't found a single nugget . But I still love it .
Wishing you all the best and thanks for sharing. Good luck, happy hunting and take care.
Hi Ya Shawn!
Great information love this video. Wondering if you could do a video on different areas to look for gold in the desert. Such as washes, side hills, tops of hills etc. and do you always need to be on bedrock to find gold with a VLF detector. Thanks i am new to all this and have been working washes and haven’t found a thing yet.
I am mobility limited and you nailed it. Go out. PERIOD. It does help to have the right attitude. Whether you are metal detecting or panning or *anything*. Stay safe.
Hello Mr. Southern. Nice to meet you here. I really enjoyed listening as you're spot on.👍 Thanks so much for this vid. Stay safe & healthy.
Very cool review--relaxed in the shade, like you're talking to me in the beautiful Sonoran Desert. Mouth shut and ears open. Very good points. Your videos taught me how to be better with my detector (Gold Monster). I've detected the Mojave Desert in California but now we are in Congress AZ and having to learn to read the soil and practicing on our own property within sight of the Congress workings. Great job.
The desert is such a beautiful place.. Thank you for sharing your knowledge as you do.. Be safe my Brother.. see you soon
Lot of good metal detecting tips you brought up there Bill and thanks for sharing them!
Thanks for watching Randall
Good tips, thanks Bill. You have a wonderful play ground. If I went out there, I may not come back. So many things to see.
A couple of your UA-cam peers turned me on to you and they had nothing but praise about you. I have to agree that just being out country detecting and enjoying the outdoors make it a good day even without finds. Gold is icing on the cake. The worst day detecting beats the best day at work anytime. That's an old retired guys version of a better saying. Thank you for the great videos Bill!
I appreciate your honesty as many do !! Any treasure hunter goes out to have fun, be outdoors and if you find a treasure~well then you had a even better day :)
Very true and always good to hear from you
i been metal detecting for about thirty years, i like it because its good exercise i love it because you can get out look at nature that surrounds you, even a few old coins maybe small nuggests every once in a blue moon,.. but i do know what your talking about,...
Good video Bill, love to hear the talks for sure. Can't much hunt anymore tho, but a big part of love I had in the day for an awesome hobby. Hang in there my friend.
Steve
Sorry to hear that Steve and thanks for your support
Good talk Bill. Keep it real and keep diggin!
I appreciate it
I enjoy my time in the Desert ! It's not a place for everyone, but it can be a place to just Sit, Contemplate an watch the land come alive !
I watch your channel because of that not necessarily to watch you find Gold. Your hunts are Honest Depictions of what it's like, it's not easy it's Hard work, Exhausting !
"Keep'em Comming, I'll be watching" ! 😉😎
Always been fascinated about metal detecting, about to go get an elcheapo and start playing around. Nice solid advice for everything, thanks
snow here in oklahoma but headed that way to metal detect and warm weather i love these videos thanks!!!!
You are very welcome Rebecca
Thank you for the valuable information in all your videos. As of yet I am only a coin and relic detectorist, but I have a desire to hunt for gold with a detector as well. I plan to buy my first gold machine when I get my bonus in December and have decided to start with the Gold Monster 1000 based on the videos I have watched and the cost of the machine. I have enjoyed all the videos you have dedicated to this machine.
Thank you,
Bob from southern Oregon
Good points
Excellently put!
in your neck of the woods for 10 days.
I’ve found little over three Penny weight.
One of the guys in our group got a little over a half an ounce.
No one has less than 30 years of experience running detectors.
There were five of us .
Actual time running the detectors was about 20 hours each
This is a great video. Attitude is everything. It is all about getting out there, finding gold is the icing on the cake.
How many times have I gone prospecting and come home empty HANDED? Too many to count.
Gold and treasure is not easy to find, if it was, it would be worthless.
Your mind set for me is very important . As you stated, if you are not ‘“tuned in” you will miss the nuggets. Anyone can find a coin but not so with gold. Thanks for your initial help and then I learned my machine. Always like to go on your adventures. .......
Thank you Rick
Right on! Great video and great advice!
It’s all about attitude!
Stay happy my friend!
Always!
Loads of great info fam thanks. Keep up the great work fam. Gold squad out!!!
Thanks my friend
Wonderful place, wonderful desert I LOVE IT! Thanks Bill
Glad you enjoyed it
Good video...the truth is sometimes not fun but it is always rewarding.
Indeed!
i have agree with what your saying about loving it out there, since i joined the GSSN here in las vegas i have been going out to their claims as much as time would allow, i always look forward to going out there, its a complete opposite from what i experience here in the city. i always look forward to your video's, those who say the gold you find is small, has never seen or held real gold in their hand, the gold you have been showing in your video is awesome to see, who cares what size the piece is, gold is gold. keep up the great video's.
Bright and clear as the day is long, brillient words of wisdom. Thanks again for improving my grey matter between my ears.Wish you and Tammi and Bruno the best .David out
Thank you David and thanks for your continued support
I’m really enjoying your videos and I’m learning a lot. I don’t own a detector yet but I plan on purchasing one in the very near future . In the mean time I’m trying to soak up everything thing I can from your videos. Thank you for sharing all your knowledge and advice
You are very welcome Joe and thank you
Thanks Bill, Just got to Stanton and looking to run the detector next week. I will use your tips sir. Keep up the good work!
Good luck Paul!
Very educational video ,I am learning from you thank you..
Glad to hear that
Awsome videos thank you! I'm coming back to AZ the end of this month so my father and I can do a little nugget shooting.
You are right Bill, its not about the gold but the beauty of the Sonoran Desert.
So true Armando very true
You keep it real Bill, that's what I like about your channel.
I appreciate that Max
Great finds enjoyed the video
This is a very educational channel , if you wanna get started . Good job as always
Thank you!
You have a good attitude love watching your video s keep it up smile and the gold will smile on you
😊 thank you
Awesome awesome story time with more knowledge awesome great to see and hear all this when it is minus 38 C and with the wind feels like minus 50 thank you starting a day off on the good side as always awesome
Glad you enjoyed it and off to the Harquahalas later today
Attitude is everything and giving thanks for the small things such as seeing a roadrunner or a horny toad or especially a beautiful sunrise on a crisp, cool morning in the desert that is normally a foreboding place.
The nuggets (when they are found) is just the icing on the cake.
Back when I was a member of the Taft Prospectors Mining Group, I must have pulled a pound of lead bullets out of the Garlock Mts and had a blast doing it.
You make perfect sense to me sir ! Thank you for sharing this video.

Thanks for the Pep talk Bill. I've learned several things watching your videos. Just this video I picked up 2 more. I still have a lot more questions but I have a feeling you'll cover them in a future video. I dug 3 really nice Hot rock yesterday in bedrock. Look at me go. Thanks again Bill.
Glad to help
I appreciate this! I don’t always find a ring or a silver coin. I suspect the channels that find bucket listers every 5 days!
Good video Bill , Thanks
You are very welcome John
,well said thanks.
Great advice man. Living here in Henderson, NV and not being apart of a club or anybody with any knowledge of metal detecting its overwhelming. I guess thats the word for it. I appreciate your videos greatly. I'm trying to lock my sights on a good area to detect. Legally and successfully of course.
Good luck!
Picked up the hobby as an excuse to get out in the hills more often. Glad to hear others that know what they are doing come up empty. Only because it gives me confidence to keep looking.
i hear that bill i dont find gold every time i go to the creek and yes alot of fake stuff on internet , great video my friend
Great maybe will see you up there rye patch here I come
If you can appreciate the desert for its beauty, the wildlife, the stress that rolls off your shoulders, thats the draw of the desert. Theres so much more than just finding gold. Thanks Bill you are spot on
You are also, thanks for watching my friend
Great job for telling like it is....attitude is everything when comes to chasing gold.
Agreed Dan
The number one pointer I give out is if your not in the right frame of mind, if your not committed to being patient or being slow and thorough, (fully knowing you may not find any gold), Your not going to find much. As soon as I learned that, it was almost like I cracked the code. If that day you don’t have the patience for detecting, just run the drywasher or stay home.
Love the video, and I couldn’t agree more with your words of wisdom!
Thank you and just subbed you as well
Appreciate your knowledge, it has been very helpful to me. Especially with using the gold monster in the heavily mineralized NorCal soil.
Glad it was helpful!
I've been watching your videos for a couple of months now. I really enjoy them. Thought I would leave a comment on this one since its a recent one. I just purchased a MineLab Nox 800 based largely on your recommendations and your videos. You videos are digital gold. I really really enjoy them. I'm next door in NM and was looking for videos for the desert SW. I lived in the Prescott area for a number of years in the 1990's into the 2000's. I did a fair amount of digging in that area. Still love that area and visit often, but I like smaller crowds even better. Thanks for the information and the entertainment. Looking forward to learning the machine and getting out there.
Thank you Wilbur
Having a Good Attitude... Keeping it Real.
🌵🤠👍🏻🍻
Well said Sir.
Thank you Robert
Hey Bill I just want to let you know that I enjoy your videos!
Also could you direct me to the source for the scoop with rifles that you use?
Thanks and good luck!
Your 100% correct !
Thanks Troy
Thank you for the information. You are honest. Yea not always will you find gold.
Great show with great topics and finds both relics, scrap trash and beautiful gold Nugget specimens. Most of the other Detectorist find all the same stuff. This is Nugget detector show and the others are coin relics and silver. Bill I enjoy your adventures as well as the others I watch . Appreciate your channel much, 😀👍🌵🍀🤟😎😉
Thanks 👍 Kirk!
Good day for down under I love your videos Bill and listen to your advice. I have been a relic hunter for years and I am hunting for gold now I have had the 800 Equinox for a couple years and found my first bite of gold 0.23gm and I was over the moon . You could hear me a miles away for such a small bit . And it’s about injuring the great out doors as well. I am learning the GPX4500 to not much luck yet but hopefully soon.⛏
Thank you David
The best metal detectorists are the ones that put in the time like you, I mostly dry wash and am fine with that, I have a bad leg and can’t walk the hills very well
Good advice Bill.A lot of people expect instant gratification and are not willing to put in the effort. They will probably acquire the patience or they will drop the hobby. Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely
Just spent 3 long days in Arizona nugget hunting some good areas. I dug lots of trash, wore out, tired no gold luck, it's not easy nugget hunting. Back to the house now and saw Bill's talk on gold detecting attitude! Your absolutely right, I loved the mountains, sunshine, exploring old mining activity and the outdoors. I didn't find a gold nugget this time out but Ill get revved up soon and head back with a better ATTITUDE!
Right on Dave
hi bill, will be going to Brenda hope this area has gold, lots of hot rocks i know that for sure. thanks for your video and gm 1000.
Good luck! We will be around Salome this week some...
Very good and very informative video bill and I agree with you 100% attitude is everything attitude is what carries us through a good attitude is going to carry you a lot further than a bad one. And I'm like you it's all about the beautiful scenery it's about being out there with nature that's what I find the most interesting {period} if I happen to get lucky enough to find a coin while I'm swinging my detector hey it's icing on the cake but I enjoy the cake more than the icing. Take care brother love your words of wisdom.
Agreed Danny
Great lesson, much appreciated. As Jeff Williams says, I have found enough iron to build a Buick!
Glad you enjoyed Kurt
Right on
One of the Best video's I've seen in a while speak truth my brother ...
Thank you very much
The adventure is in the hunt!
Exactly my friend
Like you I love being out there. Best church and medicine everywhere eh. Patience, knowledge and respect is a virtue we all need for a happy life my friend. You stress this all the time. Well over and above the gold I sure enjoy your posts. Your a no nonsense fella that is enjoying his life with a lovely wife. Take care my friend. PS it is warming up. Only -31C this morning and warmed up to -20. Bloody balmy eh, LOL.
Warming up? Bwahahaha Dean, but I guess you like to look on the bright side
@@NUGGETSHOOTER YUP, Just like a day of dry box tacks eh.
Your videos are awesome bro keep up the good work I would like to ask you a question what is your opinion on the white gold master 24K compared to the Mine lab 1000
It's a good VLF gold detector, but the Monster is much more sensitive and easy to use
Awesome "Talk", Bill. Although finding "Shiny" sure Helps, it's all more about being "Out There", constant improvement!🦾⛏️👍
Absolutely!
Bill, you and I think a like. I love being out in my AZ desert yes I said mine. Haha And if you’re lucky enough to find some gold that’s a plus. You my friend are the real deal.
Thanks a ton Glen
Your mic and camera is doing a great job for you on this one. Treasure hunting is like fishing just who can catch them all .
Very true Larry
