    You have highlighted a key to ANY detecting - KNOW YOUR MACHINE. Yes, there are machines that are better at doing specific things so if you are hunting X you need the machine that will find X. If you are hunting Y then you need the machine that is better at hunting Y. BUT, there are machines that will hunt X and Y but they compromise to do that. Thanks Bill.

    In a tent and prospecting.
    Today is my first day.
    Owe it to you three Genlemen.
    You too Slim!
    Thanks guys!
    Jerky and beans for breakfast, and glad to have it.

    G'day from Australia mate. Thanks for spending the time to explain some of the idiosyncrasies of the Monster. I've been umming and arring whether to get a second detector to compliment my GPX 5000 and after watching your video, I've decided to get the GM. Our ground is heavily mineralised over here, so I know i'll be pulling my hair out with frustration for the 1st few months using the GM until I get proficient with it. But that's what this game is all about, practice and perseverance. Have a great one brother

  • @weshawkins7165
    @weshawkins7165 4 роки тому +4

    The micro processor is balancing a lot of different ground conditions at once when moving it around like your suppose to where the older VLFs balance in the specific spot the coil is moving up and down on and is good reason why they seem to be out of balance in a few steps. That makes this detector much more powerful. Good video Bill.

Thanks for helping me pick and showing me how to use it, simply... I am just simplifying things now that I am older.

    Hi Bill. So sorry to hear you had a rental house fire and the people lost a loved pet. Devastating! I enjoyed the refresher on the Monster. Man I love my Gold monster and most everything I learned was watching your videos. I use the 5x10 coil and amazed how small the targets can be. I work a little bit of white silicone dap to seal the coil cover and 1-1/4" electrical heat shrink instead of tape, works great. I have to go really slow at times in hot ground. Cool you found gold doing an educational video. Thanks, another fun learning video.

    Another great video my friend. I like how you were able to show the hot rock and target in the same hole... Very easy to see that back and forth reading and move on... Like you said, dig all targets. Keep the videos coming buddy
