NinjaSuperman I haven't played Tf2 for 2 years now :'( My pc broke down and I didn't have money for a new one. But I should be able to buy a new pc in 2 more months because I finally got a new job :) Have fun with the game I sure did when I started out.
yea i've noticed that with the tf2 content creators that they tend to complain less about their teams when they lose because it doesn't matter to the weather they win or lose they are still making fun content for us the viewers to watch
I must say, this guy is the reason i even got to tf2. And since i learnt more about TF2 and thinking about mains, this guy is the reason i chose spy and engi. Thank you, .3.
8:51 is so disgusting. It’s downright cruel that a spot able to hide a mini so well exists, and it’s right in the open, allowing it to have a great sight line. It’s horrible, evil and I love it.
Good informative video Dane. I use that rock dispenser spot all the time (lovely place), but I never really thought about all the bushes useful for minis (I guess I just lack the kind of evil mindset necessary for such things). However, while the sentry spot on the slope is great most of the time, all it takes is a semi-competent demo with knowledge of basic trigonometry. I was in a match once with a team who just couldn't kill my sentry, but never realized how easy it is to take out once you know how to arc pills. Also, that landscape at 12:12 "sheds a single tear".
It's mostly referred to as "China" and "Japan" on Product (the competitive re-imagining of Viaduct), but I'd guess that the name "China" stemmed from the fact that Snipers often stand on it, all the way back - really far away - kind of like how China is really far away... The bridge is kind of like a smaller version of China... hence the name "Japan". (This is all wild speculation, there might be a more interesting story behind it, I dunno.)
Uncle Dane I thought it's called China because the metal sheets attached on the sides of the wooden platform makes it look similar to the Great Wall of China. Just a random thought.
FINALLY, I was always so lost on viaduct not knowing what to do, Dane please do Steel next, I see a lot of players confused on that map and I think it may help them having a guide to the map
I am loving this series so fare, Dane. Thank you so much for making these, i can easily say that this series is a huge help for Aspiring Engie mains, including myself. Loving the content lately, keep doing what you do best :)
Loving this series, videos are a bit long and take a couple of sittings to get through, but the information you deal out is worth the time. My favourite Attack/Defence map is Dustbowl, so I'd appreciate if it came up at some point. Other than that, looking forward to the next episode, keep up the good work!
Had never put that much effort into having a dispenser up on Viaduct but it makes a lot of sense when looking at the shortage of health. Really liking this series. Also would love to see your mastery of Dustbowl be shown to the world. Or possibly Gorge since I seem to be put on that whenever I have it selected no matter how many maps I select together with it.
I downloaded tf2 after 3y break and i started to play engie. KOTH was my fav maps so i decided to join koth viaduct. My K/D ratio was something about 3/15 :D Then... I watched this video in work.. :) I came back to home, at the evening, took a beer, choosed Koth Viaduct.... I set up my teleporter on the sneaky spot, dispencer at right places, sentries in perfect spot... Guess what, i was 1st /2nd on the scoreboard.. I played 5 games, all the time this same situation. Thanks Uncle Dane!
thanks for another Blueprint, Uncle! it comforts me to see all these new players coming to our game and having a reliable source of strategies and tips that are easy to learn!
I love the Frontier's Gunslinger combo on viaduct 6v6, get a good spot, and your mini will farm assists in no time for you to crit the enemies to death with. Also, I recommend Egypt on account of that being my favorite attack/defend map.
I've been maining scout for a while and I watch these vids to see where I need to avoid when overextending and they are always a lot of help, Thanks Uncle Dane
I would love to see Steel as next map since it is very complex and I have it hard finding good spots on C, D and E in defense... And as always, great video, I love this series because I like the tactical gameplay of the engineer and seeing new startegies to improve. :)
matthew skullblood You're the type of players that make up the bad part of the TF2 community. Just tell them not to turtle politely. Telling them they suck and kicking them will do nothing. You want to discourage turtling, not discourage the player.
I love this so much. Helps players new and old play just that much better. Do you know if there are similar guides for other classes like medic, soldier, etc?
Definitely learned a few things, didn't know you could build up on concrete's roof without a sentry jump. If you're doing A/D next could you cover the old classic Gravel-pit? One of my favorite maps to play with experienced players but I've seen far to many newbies get lost on it's sprawling three points.
I know you only uploaded 2 Engineer blueprints and I do play engi a lot but these videos help me so much I play engi so much better because of you thank you.
I always used to put my buildings in the cubby because I thought there were no other good spots on Viaduct, but this really opened my eyes. Thanks Uncle Dane!
I've played TF2 for several years now, and even I've learned a few things that I never knew about, like bush placements and the bridge teleporters. Will surely try these out in my future gaming~
Hey Uncle, for an Attack/Defense map, you should do Gorge. I feel like there's a lot of viable building placement with the varied elevation and room shapes. Plus, it's popular both in pubs and in the Competitive Mode map rotation.
These Engineer's Blueprints videos are so enjoyable to watch, even if I don't play Engineer. Though, you make Engineer so much more fun for some reason.
I already read the description, but I would really appreciate a video about product that goes over the differences between the two and the different callouts for new places
Useful stuff. As someone who plays engie a lot, I knew about the aggressive sentry positions, but haven't really given much thought to teleport placement. Will try this next time I'm on viaduct. Hoping to see something like this for Nucleus and Harvest.
Hey Uncle Dane, any suggestions for heavy map overviews? all the ones out there tend to say the same thing, turtle next to dispenser and med, wait to push. none of them that I've seen talk about pushing, target priorities and counter heavy play (such as how to beat an aggressive heavy as passive and vice versa) and such.
As an engineer main as well; hell yeah boy. Wanted this video. The alternate route to the Japan teleporter spot is a bit hard for "newer" players when it comes to a climb like that (for some reason?) and obvious to the other team. Would do the first one Dane did. Cause 1. you have a stationary aimbot and 2. out of the line of fire from snipers etc. :D Probably mentioned this in the video but I'm too excited. Lmaom
My personal favourite Engie trick for this map is to flank behind the enemy and drop a mini-sentry on the health pack at cliffside. It does a great job at dropping scouts retreating for health and harassing snipers as they try to get to the cliff/battlements. It tends to last pretty long too as most power classes leave spawn for concrete.
I can't wait for the hour-long special on cp_steel
And the six hour-long special on tc_hydro
How about the 3 second 2fort special?
"Build here." *Arrow points at intel*
Best non competitve map ever made
I get confused on cp_steel
Spongey I'm always Engie on 2Fort because nobody ever builds in the Intel room and the enemy team can just walk into it and walk back.
i never really figured out where to place teleporter exits, this really helped!
funny that the exit the only thing I ever placed right in that map, sentry and dispenser I always messed up a lot
Just started playing tf2 legit and this is a huge help thanks man
Yes, this guy is really good. And he isn't like those mains that complain and call their team trash when he dies.
NinjaSuperman Sure does mate.
NinjaSuperman I haven't played Tf2 for 2 years now :'( My pc broke down and I didn't have money for a new one.
But I should be able to buy a new pc in 2 more months because I finally got a new job :)

me too!
yea i've noticed that with the tf2 content creators that they tend to complain less about their teams when they lose because it doesn't matter to the weather they win or lose they are still making fun content for us the viewers to watch
3 Uncle Dane videos in a month?!
It's like Christmas Morning.
StickMaster500 Haha it's going to be in 4 days.
hehe you're slightly early to post yoyr comment
"It's a bloody miracle!"
The Gameboyer an Australian Christmas bloody miracle!
Yup
I must say, this guy is the reason i even got to tf2. And since i learnt more about TF2 and thinking about mains, this guy is the reason i chose spy and engi. Thank you, .3.
ty for loving my comment uncle .3.
Nexro I play spy and engi most also!
Spy must burn it

some say the uncle27 was the first tf2 player ever..
Flynn Sadler-Bury born from scrap...
Oguz Kaplan I heard theuncle27 could build a sentry from level 1 to a level 3 in a single hit
Eddie Oton I heard theuncle27 took out an entire team with a single Gunslinger BAP
And just when you think your safe...POP, game over
Oh no... the point's been captured by TheUncle27 in my game.
Why "china" and "japan" of all the callout names?
It's mostly referred to as "China" and "Japan" on Product (the competitive re-imagining of Viaduct), but I'd guess that the name "China" stemmed from the fact that Snipers often stand on it, all the way back - really far away - kind of like how China is really far away... It's no shithouse though.
So, are ya Chinese or Japanese?
YOU
FINALLY, I was always so lost on viaduct not knowing what to do, Dane please do Steel next, I see a lot of players confused on that map and I think it may help them having a guide to the map
I forgot how many "Ankel Dan" comments still appear on Dane videos.
Jesus H.
Marcos NX Heroes never die
uncel dan iz a verly gould meem maine
ok i'll stop
engineer's blueprints to hightower, sign a deal with the devil, and you are set
If this series continues into April, the April fools needs to be on a payload race map.
How about Degroot Keep?
If you're gonna do an A/D map next, I'd love to see Gorge.
Oh hey you're that guy
that guy reporting in
oh shit here come that guy
Scarfulhu me too! I always wonder where to place my stuff there!
matthew skullblood Don't cut yourself on that edge buddy
Attack/defense? CP_STEEL! Please it's my favorite map and I just decided to main engie :D
When you do a Control Points map, please do Egypt! I get so frustrated on that one not knowing what to do!
I am loving this series so fare, Dane.
Thank you so much for making these, i can easily say that this series is a huge help for Aspiring Engie mains, including myself.
Loving the content lately, keep doing what you do best :)

My favourite Attack/Defence map is Dustbowl, so I'd appreciate if it came up at some point. Other than that, looking forward to the next episode, keep up the good work!
Great. Now viaduct will be 24 engies.
But I still like your vids :)
Had never put that much effort into having a dispenser up on Viaduct but it makes a lot of sense when looking at the shortage of health. Really liking this series.
Also would love to see your mastery of Dustbowl be shown to the world. Or possibly Gorge since I seem to be put on that whenever I have it selected no matter how many maps I select together with it.
ankle Dane is a very gud koth man

I would really like to see an episode on Gorge. Loving the series so far!
I'm loving this series, keep making them!

Thanks Uncle Dane!
There are more "ankle dan" meme commets than usual
I came 3 years late to tell you that you spelt comments wrong
Awesome to see this series come back, I love it!
NOTIFICATION SQUAD ASSEMBLE!
Also, that animation failure of the Engie's hand at 11:17 caused me pain.
This series is gonna be BIG. I love it already! Its both informative and engaging, great work Dane.
My votes on Mountain Lab, Gorge, or the infamous but classic Dustbowl!
Yes! Finally! Another addition to this series! I've been waiting forever!
do Steel next. No one seems to know how to get through there. It's a decently complex map too with a lot of room for discussion.
I can't wait for more of this series - it's so well made and helpful as a (relatively) new Engi player.
Thanks, Dane.
Ankle Dan is veri gud blueprint Mann xDDDD
XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
dominick moulder Ecks de
ankle dan is veri gud inded
Just a random meme I was literally going to comment that
bazinga
let's see that cp_steel video, I love how strategic this map is so it'll certainly have it's fair share of different plots to take advantage of
Attack/Defend Gravel Pit. It's the only one I ever hear good things about.
thanks for another Blueprint, Uncle! it comforts me to see all these new players coming to our game and having a reliable source of strategies and tips that are easy to learn!
I've been waiting for this since October 20th
Oh and first i guess
That's my birthday
I love the Frontier's Gunslinger combo on viaduct 6v6, get a good spot, and your mini will farm assists in no time for you to crit the enemies to death with.
Also, I recommend Egypt on account of that being my favorite attack/defend map.
My body is not ready for this papa Dane!
I love the video and this series! I would really love a nucleus video
If you did Dustbowl I'd appreciate that so much.
this
Build a million sentrys on last.
i fcking love the intro tune i replayed this so many times now
How do you spectate without the Hud of the type of map? I'm an artist and haven't found any solution. Please help :-/
sv_cheats 1
mp_tournament 1 (to disable the round timer if needed)
cl_drawhud 0 (disables hud)
noclip (to fly around)
+Uncle Dane the sv_cheats main :3
+Uncle Dane which map will you make next? may i suggest doublecross?
He loathes CTF
This is more of a Comp Map overview, for like UGC, to my knowledge Doublecross is not in their map rotation.
I've been maining scout for a while and I watch these vids to see where I need to avoid when overextending and they are always a lot of help, Thanks Uncle Dane
ancle dane very good dispensor Mann
I would love to see Steel as next map since it is very complex and I have it hard finding good spots on C, D and E in defense...
And as always, great video, I love this series because I like the tactical gameplay of the engineer and seeing new startegies to improve. :)
I would love to see some ideas on how to discourage turtleing engineers.
Uncle Dane Or they'll stop playing Engineer or the game overall. Maybe spamming the sapper on the sentry and dispenser will work.
yea it tends to be if you spam enough stickies at them they will learn.
Bill Nye The Spy Guy yea I tried that and one of them switched to pyro... so it doesn't always work!
sadly...
I was hoping for an organic way rather than force. like a better tutorial or in game reminders that remind them not to start such a bad habit.
matthew skullblood You're the type of players that make up the bad part of the TF2 community. Just tell them not to turtle politely. Telling them they suck and kicking them will do nothing. You want to discourage turtling, not discourage the player.
This is really awesome Dane, im sure you are planning on putting alot of work into this series considering they're super well made.
I skipped the new AVGN episode for this
*Skipped
New episode? Thanks!
Alex Cole Ok
Seriously?
m1ksu / Random Gaming Videos AVGN is the Angry Video Game Nerd
You should continue this series, it's super helpful especially for new engies
I'd like to see turbine next
*TRIGGERED UNCLE*
oops nevermind.
Here, here, here, here, here, and here.
On turbine, here.
Fawkes so True x')
Voice Of Reason plop a sentry in mid on the container facing the other teams exit, done
On Turbine, any sentry spot is effective. I know. TRUST ME.

When is the next Engie's blueprints video supposed to come out? These are very helpful and I'd like to see it done on more maps.
its been a whole year since a new print... did ya forget?
2 episodes in and this is already one of the series on UA-cam.
Goldrush is a map I like to play on but I don't know where to place my sentry on the first point on all of the stages
Really wish these blueprint vids got more views so you'd be motivated to make more of em. They've helped me so much.
Please do a guide on ctf_turbine
I dont think you watched his last video
it was ironic
Lesupersuisse It's pointless. Although it'll be useful in some way.
Maggot Corporation what do you not understand about "it was ironic" lol
Lesupersuisse I didn't see it, youtube messed up.
I'd love to see a blueprints video on either Steel or Mountain Lab. Keep up the awesome work, these vids are really insightful!
attack defend Gorge!! please!!
I always used the evil ragequit mini spot. Now everyone will know about it. Still a great video thought Dane
why did you do the viaduct instead of product
just read descripshion..
An engineer alone with the dispenser can control his team play style and yet people still have the balls to compare him to Torbjorn.
Theo TV to be fair he is pretty similar. Most overwhat charecters are really just half a tf2 charecter. Engineer is more of both the dwarf and symetra
Legend has it that if you comment early on papa danes video then he will respond
Legend27?
He keeps fingering my ass..
at least you tried
so close yet so far
Uncle Dane has some deep ass roots in UA-cam.
cp_dustbowl blueprints hype.
+Gamer_X Series finale
As a heavy main this really helps me understand how to counter engineers
I'm gonna be the idiot in the comments and say dustbowl.
I love this so much. Helps players new and old play just that much better. Do you know if there are similar guides for other classes like medic, soldier, etc?
early squad, where you at?
here
You're part of the reason why I main Engineer and know so much about the class. thanks for this
Definitely learned a few things, didn't know you could build up on concrete's roof without a sentry jump.
If you're doing A/D next could you cover the old classic Gravel-pit? One of my favorite maps to play with experienced players but I've seen far to many newbies get lost on it's sprawling three points.

This series is amazing! I would love to see an episode on Dustbowl.
I've played TF2 for several years now, and even I've learned a few things that I never knew about, like bush placements and the bridge teleporters. Will surely try these out in my future gaming~
THE BEST source of info on tf2 engi gameplay!
Though, you make Engineer so much more fun for some reason.
wow I thought I was the only one who knew about the engie bridge spot in this map. it is too fun and amazin
I already read the description, but I would really appreciate a video about product that goes over the differences between the two and the different callouts for new places
You even cover the fact that the map might change. Thanks for looking out for us man!
Useful stuff. As someone who plays engie a lot, I knew about the aggressive sentry positions, but haven't really given much thought to teleport placement. Will try this next time I'm on viaduct. Hoping to see something like this for Nucleus and Harvest.
damn this man created the most perfect plan for every engineer playstyle, he isnot called the master engineer for nothing
Hey Uncle Dane, any suggestions for heavy map overviews? all the ones out there tend to say the same thing, turtle next to dispenser and med, wait to push. none of them that I've seen talk about pushing, target priorities and counter heavy play (such as how to beat an aggressive heavy as passive and vice versa) and such.
finally, i really like this series
As an engineer main as well; hell yeah boy. Wanted this video. The alternate route to the Japan teleporter spot is a bit hard for "newer" players when it comes to a climb like that (for some reason?) and obvious to the other team. Would do the first one Dane did. Cause 1. you have a stationary aimbot and 2. out of the line of fire from snipers etc. :D Probably mentioned this in the video but I'm too excited. Lmaom
As a engie main you are one of my engie heroes
You should totally bring this great and useful series back with maps like badwater or harvest or even gorge
Plz make more engineers blueprints, I love them!
Shoot man, I love these videos and learn so much. And I don't even play Engie all that much.
Dane! I love this series! Will it continue im just wondering, its really useful for my highlander games!
I was having a mini panic attack and feeling pretty stressed, but listening to this helped me level out. Thanks.
I'd definitely like to see a video covering mountain lab/Mann Manor. It's got a super interesting layout, and it's a bit unique as a 3-point map.
Yay, more hints for a class I love!
We need more!
we need more of these Mr.Dane
You are a great UA-cam content creater keep doing your thing
Gotta love Dane's educational episodes.
