International Scout carb tuning and test drive

- customer dropped this scout off to have brake hoses installed , due to this truck received a 4 inch lift along with some bigger aftermarket wheels . with that being said we installed new braided brake hoses and did a brake fluid flush and bleed on this old girl. Along with that this scout was running rough dealing with some fueling issues so with new fuel in the tank , new filter and a completely rebuilt carburetor with new jets that are appropriately sized our customer is ready to cruise the streets in his scout. This truck is an absolute joy to drive.

My best friend's dad had a 72 Scout 4x4 with a 258 ci 6 cyl and 3 speed transmission. The Scouts sat a little low and could use a little bit of lift. Internationals are underappreciated. They were great trucks.
This one already had some arched springs installed front and rear
Gotta love some IH ..my first wheels was a 71 1210 IH pick up....hell I wandered a bit back then to..😂...nothing like the sound of them doors closing..pure working trucks..
Come to find out the customer did not have the alignment done after the new arched springs
I love Scouts. One of these days I will be able to get one. I would definitely drop an LS in it. If I win the lotto I'll give you guys a call 😂
I installed a Holley 2300 2bbl on my 345 and it will occasionally diesel when I shut er down, I think its due to fast idling in park. I'll have to give this a try next time I'm workin on er.
Looks like it's either a t18 or t18c Trans. Looks like it shifts way easier than my worn sm465
It drives very well
