I borrowed the title from BeatdownBoogie. I thought it was the perfect way to describe what it is to be a cosplayer at a convention. He is also the reason why I started watching Cosplay Music Videos. Check him out!

Please tag the cosplayers that you recognize in the video! I will try my best to identify whoever you guys are interested in.

San Francisco still misses you, Wondercon.
Too bad San Francisco dislikes consumer conventions :(
@@compleckz Yeah.. 3 companies tried Comic-cons there and 3 failed. The last Wondercon there was the only time I got to meet Carrie Fisher. She was scheduled to be at the Silicon Valley Comic-Con in San Jose but passed away a few months before.
AWESOME 🐢🐢🍕🐢🐢
I want that Venonat
That Venonat was the coolest and cutest shit at the con LOL
Oz Comic Con this coming June and I'm bringing a DSLR for video recording. Watch this space. I hope I can build or afford to buy a stabilizer by then.

ok small rant here, a lot of people say its easy to go as d.va / make her costume well it isn't, it is super difficult to make the gun and the headpeice and the body suit as well (Im making a casual cosplay but STILL BOI IS IT HARD) the makeup takes 2-3 hours to get it perfect. So, no its not easy (sorry just had to say this to someone who appreciates cosplay and such. In no way is this directed at anyone btw)
Look at any other character from Overwatch, and D.Va is by far the easiest. Making a gun and headpiece isn't that hard compared to the rest of the cast, and besides she's super popular so you can find DOZENS of tutorials on how to make her stuff. The body suits are either easy to buy, and you have options (cheaper zentai suits, or more complex 200$ options with different layers and fabrics, which look amazing in person). It's easiest to go as D.Va, I'd put her in the same difficulty/price range as S-Squad Harley Quinn (I'd say around 50 bucks) or a sub-par Spider-Man (a 100 bucks with faceshell and custom print).
Of course, as with any cosplay, you CAN spend hours on each piece, and make true, replica version of the in-game model brought to life or something, but let's be real, most DVa cosplays aren't that elaborate and it's by far the most accessible and easy to do. I know I'm being harsh, and I don't want to attack you, but I'm just saying, out of all Overwatch characters, she's the easiest to do. That doesn't mean the work you put in it is devalued, I've seen some INCREDIBLE DVa props and pieces and costumes all looking amazing, but she's really not as intricate as most other characters!
That was very well said @Slimshadow457 I have seen some amazing D.Va costumes and I do agree that when making the props, it can become incredibly challenging but it does look like the easier of the Overwatch characters.
What’s the supergirl”s instragram in the thumbnail?

3:34 RoxyRocksTV on the left. Nice. 😄
Thanks for pointing out her user! Damn, she has a lot of followers.
Great video but I have a question: I'm going to my first con this year and I was wondering if other people wear their costumes on public transport to the con? I just don't want to be the only person on the train/bus in cosplay😶
So sorry for late response! You will definitely see other people in costumes in public transport i.e. bus, taxi, bart, train, subway, trolley, lightrail etc. My buddies and I have used the city lightrail to get to a convention before! We were all dressed up in full armor and masks and went to the local comic convention. I hope this helps! Let me know if you have more questions! I'll be more than happy to answer them!
@@compleckz Thank u sm for the advice😊💖 It helps alot!

Alright dude, so I wanted to open that while I'll be giving some criticism, know that overall I'm positive of your video abilities and I love the fact that this is still early on in your cosplay music videos, as I see a lot of potential down the line.
I think this would have benefitted being cut down by about half the time. While that does mean you would lose one or two of the songs, I think that would make for a more cohesive whole. Specifically you have a number of shots that are repeat shots with characters doing the same pose but facing more than 45 degrees away from your camera (D.Vas and Reinhearts are what quickly comes to mind). There are also a few shots where the pose either went too long (this is seen much more in the first song) where the energy of the cosplayer is fading out. Finally, a few of your shots show the cosplayer struggling with the pose or stumbling (the Dark Magician Girl is probably the most pronounced of this). Unfortunately if the pose gets messed up like this too many times, it affects your video more than the cosplayer portraying it. Be willing to get a few more shots if possible while you are there, or if you can't with the footage you have, it may be wise to cut it.
Sound editing, some of your sequences actually work better for one song over the other. Team Skull is a great example as their pose and characters would have fit much better in the first song. Also, if you are going to add sound clips, make sure it doesn't interrupt the energy that you've built. Specifically, the "Run Forrest Run" completely took me out of the video because it's volume is jarring compared to the song, and it doesn't add too much to the through line you are putting in.
All that said, you have a good eye for this. I love the energy you bring in some of your cosplayers, Supergirl being such a breathe of fresh air that show why content creators and cosplayers love this. I'm really excited to see where you go from here.
Hey! All criticism is welcomed here. I just do it for the fun of it but I do want to defend my actions and explain why I did things a certain way. While I do want to keep the audiences attention and have them stick with the video, the video is lengthy because I want people to see how their costumes look in a video, so I try my best to fit in as much people as I can that I spoke with. Not all shots will look great due to both my lack of experience in shooting/angling but also the inexperience in the subject themselves. Although I do agree that it does cut the "quality" of the overall video, my intent is not for an amazing video. My intent is to let cosplayers who are experienced and inexperienced in front of a lens(mainly the new peeps) see their work in a different light, thus, being in my CMV's. Most of the people I shoot talk to me afterwards about taking shots and posing in general. Usually ends up with them being extremely excited regardless of their experience. So to let them enjoy their costume and work a bit more, I shoot them and put them into my videos. Otherwise I'm going to have a video with everyone doing the right thing but the inexperienced don't get any exposure or practice. I spoke with a cosplayer after running into him again and we spoke about my video of him in the past, he said that my video made him enjoy his costume a lot more. In terms of the beginning song, I usually do a more epic/serious song to start and I transition into something a little lighter. It's just my style. With the Team Skull part, I played with the lyrics and it fit the 'goofy' nature of the characters, which is why I felt it fit best with that song at the exact time (Lyrics " I was running around, running around." I was running around them for the shot as you can see in the footage. I usually like to add some voice overs of characters into my videos but yes, I do agree that the "run Forrest" part, was a mistake. I did feel that it took away from the energy during editing but I threw it in any way. Looking forward to more constructive words from you in the future my friend.
