Very well explained, easy to understand presentation and great tips! Thank you so much for sharing this very helpful and useful video Will! Warm Greetings from Melbourne of Australia!👋❤👍
This is exactly what I suffer from. This explains my problem and will give me a quick fix for a few of them. I dread doing the washing up - it causes my back to throb. Thank you, Will. Jez (Australia).
I’ve had this issue for some time now. Walking, running or other physical activity doesn’t bother me, but standing still creates an annoying and distracting lower back pain. We have desks at work which allow us to sit or stand but I could only stand for a short time before my back started to tense up and I would sit down before the pain set in. I was in a meeting yesterday where we had to stand and I was starting to feel the usual tension, strain and the beginning of the expected back pain. I figured out the first method of clenching on my own and it immediately alleviated the strained feeling. This made me think there could be other ways to alleviate or eliminate the discomfort. That is what led me here. I’m very excited to try the other methods and hopefully stop dreading any situation where I know I’ll have to stand still for any length of time.
Been watching many of your videos. Excellent teaching technique. As a gardener and retired nursery woman I am constantly reworking my routine to placate my sciatica, etc. Restorative yoga, walking...I live in a mountain town, staying active. Thank you. I am sharing these widely among my active senior friends here in Alaska. And, as one commenter noted, no music! Yay!
I have Scheuermann Sequellen, so I often get pain in my back whilst standing still. Going to give these a try! I often get back muscles cramping in my lower back and then I feel it even into my lungs. Thank you from Belgium
@HT- Physio Will!!!!! This works!!! The best one for me is simply standing shoulder width apart. I could almost feel the vertebrae stacking up and can definitely see the pelvic tilt correction (in the mirror sideways:). I can't believe it. It's instantaneous. THANK YOU!!!!
Thank you!! A really great presentation. Clear, concise, perfect! I also experience this and sleeping in a hard surface really help in the long term in my case. If I sleep on the floor/mat for three days, I can go a week without pain.
I get upper back pain/aching while standing, especially while doing things at a bench or slow walking around a shopping centre etc. Any guides for this would be greatly appreciated. I do yoga, but nothing seems to help.
This is just too good.... I have a stationery job....basically teaching ....and this is a remedy which should work as I understand your explanation abt the muscles and their functioning Thank you Dr appreciate your efforts for us
Very good Will I do two of the exercises waiting for a bus You are so helpful Big Thank You as usual. I feel I benifit every time I do your exercise YOU ARE A ONE OFF I feel so lucky to have found out about your work.
Am loving your videos. Am somewhat disheartened by my sciatica at the moment, and maybe confused by some of the differing advice I.e. stretch /don’t stretch so think will stick to what you advise
So much informative ..can you make video for managing multiple issues...as we age our issues are not confined to one part..eg i have cervical disc herniation and then Spondylolisthesis grade 1 along with pinched nerve and pronated knock knee and numbness in parts of my right leg..the therapists i consult show me exercises which might benefit one part but end up aggravating other parts of body
Ok. I'll try the new tips and report back. I am an expert in "rocking the pelvis," but when you said those two bony knobs at the back of the pelvis - -, oh yes, I know them well. That's exactly the spot. I may also be asking too much of the tfl, so hopefully this is going to help. Thanks, Will.
I'm excited to try the wider stance. Looks promising. The thing that's worked best for me is to just move my weight back to my heels. It's worked wonders.
Your tips to improve circulation helped me alot during very hot summer months.Hope these hints help my back.Always frustrating on holidays can walk all day without pain Yet if need queue to enter a tourist site am immediately uncomfortable.Has also impacted attending stand up concerts always need try move around.🤞these simple moves help. Thanks
I suffer terribly from this. The pain is off the charts. I know it is my muscles. It feels like they stop working and can't support my back. I dread people in my home when I have to stand at the cooker or wash up or stand to have a chat etc .Lying down is instant relief.
