You all are my go-to channel when I am having any issues. All your videos are to the point. (I do miss the funny banter back and forth that you and Brad used to do.🥰🥰🥰) Hope everyone is having a great summer. 🥳
Excellent video Brad & Mike❣️ It’s been a while since I’ve watched but definitely will be doing these as I have both back pain and bad posture - probably because I’ve not been watching you and doing the exercising. Thank you for being my great motivator. PS good work on the “new Hallelujah pose”Mike.
Dear Doctors Thank you very much for providing very good video related to lower back pain precautions and posture these are very useful for our day to day life and improvement in relief back Pain .I am 63 your old from india thanks again.
QUESTION: Thanks for all the great & helpful content! So, I have been experiencing numbness in the leg/foot for a few months now. I don't really have a lot of pain in the back or leg, just numbness, tingling, a buzzing sensation, etc. I don't usually have the numbness while walking around, but as soon as I sit, depending on the chair, my foot starts to go numb. Do all the exercises you guys show for sciatica pain also apply to just numbness. videos always mention pain, but my issue is mostly one of numbness. Walking helps, but not getting much sleep so get fatigued easily. After numbness sets in, no exercise helps, but walking will usually alleviate it. Gonna have a consult with an orthopedic dr next week, but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Not to be all "have you tried yoga?" but I practice shibashi tai chi, which includes movements like stretching up, squatting (if youw ant it to) and rotation. I forget to do these stretches on my own so it's nice to have a regular class where I can socialise as well as go through a sequence of gentle stretching that works the whole body, and is only as challenging as you want it to be. If you have posture or balance problems, I'd recommend giving it a go, it's increasingly easy to find a class the last couple of years. Especially if you've been sedentary a while like me. Great way to get started in an easy regular way ^_^
Eons ago I had back pain when standing for a time. I could walk -- maybe - two blocks before my back would be aching and cramping. No more. Weight loss. Exercise. The kind of exercises detailed here work. I once went to a rehab clinic. I was impressed with the setting, the kindly staff, but really it seemed to me that the point was (gently) to get people moving again who'd not moved in an exercising way for maybe years. Fast forward to my aerobics class at a senior center this morning. Ninety minutes of stretching, some weights, exercises upright and later on floor mats. The instructor is a female aged 74 who could likely do more but tones it down for us others. like me, age 70. Bracing half mile walk there and back with a backpack that has weights, mat and water. I recall when I began I couldn't do everything, would stop when needed. Now most all is easy -- might increase weight size. Healthy mind, healthy body. I'll try these stretches.
Are any of these a problem for my spondylosthesis, very bottom vertebrae out at almost a 2. I only know to do stretches lying on my back nowadays. This week I have tight hamstrings and worry about doing stretches I used to do.
I have Spondy, some of these will be good for you BUT follow the rules we specifically mention in the video. Better yet Search in Bob and Brad's UA-cam Spondy videos and I tell you the exercises that got me back to being active with little pain now at 61. I wish you well. Brad
@@BobandBrad Thanks for the Spondy video, I'll have a look, but "spondy" sounds like a scooby-doo character. I'm on my way to the chiropractor, they think my right hamstring pain is related to the lower vertebrae, even though I've been trying to re-build core muscles, riding the recumbent bike etc...
You could need more water in general. Also, doing lighter shorter stretches prior could help as well. Massage is great for loosening it up and strengthening exercises could help as well. If you still continue to get them, it could be an underlying issue and we would suggest you speak to your physician.
#2 looks like it would feel good, but I’m 4’ 9”, and the stick doesn’t look like it would work. I have AS (started at age 14), structural hyper lordosis, stenosis, sciatica in my left butt, and now my spine and bone spurs have fused together. I must have had an infection as a child (Scarlet Fever?) because I stand as straight as I can, I’m thin, but this back and chronic leg pain that I had as a kid, returned with a vengeance, and I can barely walk sometimes. Is there ANYTHING I can do? I’m desperate and think I’ll end up in a wheelchair! I’m 69, but have a house I have to work hard on my house!

It is with great sadness that I have to say that I can no longer watch Bob & Brad videos. 42 seconds in, and there's been so much zooming in and out, switching back and forth, panning, and shooting from different angles that my head is spinning. It's distracting, annoying and crazy-making. This is a health and fitness video, not an avant garde film! The camera should not compete with the content for attention. Please send your over-zealous cameraperson to Hollywood and go back to the stationary recording style that is appropriate for these videos, because I really want to benefit from the great content you offer. But at this point, I cannot.
Nothing avant garde. Do you suffer from sensory problems or such? Mileage varies but I saw no over-zealous camera work, I was concentrating on what they were saying and doing.

1st pose is called balasan in yog, means child pose
Yes, they mentioned that. It was interesting to me how many of the stretches either resembled yoga poses or matched yoga poses. ❤😊
