- From the 'the game' album, 1980. written by Brian May.
Lyrics:
Take me to the room where the red's all red
Take me out of my head-'s what I said yeah
Hey take me to the room where the green's all green
And from what I've seen it's hot it's mean
-Gonna use my stack
-It's gotta be Mack
-Gonna get me on the track
-Got a dragon on my back
Take me to the room where the beat's all round
Gonna eat that sound - (yeah yeah yeah!)
Take me to the room where the black's all white
And the white's all black take me back to the shack
-She don't take no prisoners
-Gonna give me the business
-Got a dragon on my back
-It's a dragon attack
Get down - I said so
Hey hey - All right
She's low down
-She don't take no prisoners
Go down
-Gonna give me the business
No time
-Yeah chained to the rack!
Show time
-Got a dragon on my back
Show down
-Go find another customer
Slow down
-I gotta make my way!
Brighton Rock has another fabulous Brian May Solo, too.
The bass, the drums and Freddie's voice. Perfect trifecta.
Funk rock at its finest
This is Funk Metal
One of Brian's best songs!
JEEZ LOUIZE!!
I had almost forgotten how absolutely EPIC this is!!

The almost 'sawing' sound of the guitar is so good 👍!!
AMAZING!!!!
I was 11 when I bought this album. I got it because of "Another One Bites the Dust" but after hearing this song once, it quickly became a highlight of the record for me. Have ALWAYS loved the groove and crunchy guitars. Definitely one of my favorite Queen tracks.
composerdave68 me too!
Ditto... I think I was ten but the same thing applied. I wound up loving this entire album.. Sail Away Sweet Sister... omg... But this song made me want to play guitar.. and here I am..lol
Thank you Brian May!
exact same for me. born in 1971.
I was 17 and had a cassette tape that I wore out rewinding this song!
Lord what a jam!!
me too, one of the best Queen tracks. And one of the least known.
Best queen song ever
Si eso creo yo ,me gusta la potencia de esta canción
My fav Queen song shifts from time to time but this one always stays in my top 3.
A fine choice sir!
My favorite
I still play this bass riff to this day...love it!
TheRockerchef keep it alive
Love the bassline on this cut.
I remember hearing my older brother playing this....I was taking it all in. Like composer Dave, I was very young. The song was very much advanced and could kick the shit out of any pop song...right fhaukun NOW.
I think every teenager in the 80's had this album in their collection
And i was one of them
And so was I...
First record I ever bought. Shortly before my 10th birthday. Paid entirely in nickels, dimes and quarters.
I did!!
My favorite Queen song! Doesn't ever get air play...🤔
Not surprising, its the same for many other artists and bands. Radio stations pick on their one or two biggest hits, and just play those...even though they may have had other equally successful hits. As for album tracks, I'm not sure if any "mainstream" radio plays these nowadays

Yes.... the 'deeper cuts' were left for the fans to find for themselves.
Great song.
Great great tune indeed!!
deaky killer bass
Someone posted about DJ's would play a request, and mention your name, and I remembered when I would call XL102 when they played rock, and request Queen's "Dragon Attack". And I hadn't thought about this song in Gawd knows when, but SO MUCH bass! SO MUCH!
Brian May is to be congratulated for having led such a fine conglomeration of such finely talented musicians.
The question is how did he keep from "Braining" Freddie with the Dragon......
Gotta be hard!!!!
I was just entering high school when this came out!!!! Wonderful memories!!!!!
thanks for posting...this is my fucking jam!
Newsflash: Track was BIG at Skating Rinks in Gary and Chicago....BIG!!
a public note.
I am not a queen.
my gate don't swing that way.
I love This song.
Long Live Sir Mercury
???
No one cares which way your gate swings I’m sure
Yeah I'm not sure why he did that either. I'm sure people of both orientations like this song and band
exelente tema
It never sounded this good on 8-track.
Thanks for the upload ;)
This song should have got way more radio play than it ever did. It's one of their best rockers.
It got BIG at Skating Rinks in G.I. and Chi.!!
Queen was one of the best bands in the world don't play music 🎶 like that soul any more it's a Damm shame
El mejor disco de Queen, Dios Salve ala Reina
I do believe Billy Squire was a huge fan......
Both shared the same engineer (Mack).
They need to a HUGE LOVE button. Regards BBKCjr. ;)
In the 70's this was on the jukebox at Pizza hut!

LYRICS:
Ha!
Give it to me
Yeah
Come on
Oh, yeah yeah yeah
Take me to the room where the red's all red
Take me out of my head's what I said, yeah
Take me to the room where the green's all green
And from what I've seen, it's hot, it's mean
Use my stack
Gimme the red
It's gotta be there
Got a dragon on my back
Take me to the room where the beat's all round
Gonna eat that sound, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Take me to the room where the black's all white
And the white's all black, take me back to the shack
'Bout to use no prisoners

He opened for Queen on their HOT SPACE tour in '82 or so
Gotta Casino Attack

I Crown The,

Quick Hit
I had a comment to this song till it came on
If you don't know queen rockd hard. You don't know jack
Add...
Testament brought me here
play the game
Brian is a great songwriter but this was not one of his best.
Disagree. As a bassist this is a total banger. Not every song is about the guitar 😂
