Iron Maiden started in 1975 and their ages are mostly mid 60's, Nikko is 70
Yes Iron Maiden is touring this year and they continue to tour world wide. They came out with a new album last year and still sell out stadiums all over the world.
Bruce Dickinson volunteered to get the troops out of Iraq and flew them back home.👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️

Niko McBrian the drummer is 71 and had a stoke in Jan/feb time. He done a lot of rehabilitation and managed rehearsals in May for their up coming tour . Unbelievable
technically, they don't own the plane and it's not always a 747. They get it on lease from other Airlines. And they usually have fans (picked via events and competitions) flying with them on the plane!
Iron Maiden was formed in 1975 and they recorded their first single in 1978. They started recording their first album in 1979 and it was releasd in 1980. And yes they are still touring and as good as ever. Their current tour is called The Future Past Tour.
I've seen them live 9 times, from 1984 to 2009 and their energy is higher than ever, despite them being over 60 now. Their live shows are absolutely top notch! And they look like they're still having fun!
This is an Adrian Smith song. He was always the blues and soul of Maiden, and they suffered terribly when he left. But as soon as he came back they got their balls back again.
He is one of my very favourite guitarists ever, because he is a true songwriter at heart. His solos are always memorable and melodic.
They’ve been touring for over 40 years. I saw them open up for Judas Priest back in 1982. I still have the ticket stub, $9.50 😮😂
Gotga keep those ticket stubs. I have Bruce's & Adrian's autographs on a beer mat when i spent several hours drinking with them in the London Apprentice pub in the mid 80's.😁
KK Downing writes in his book about how he hated Maiden on that tour.
They were cocky and kind of shitty the whole time. Especially Paul Dianno, who would do radio interviews on the day of the show and trash Priest.
KK also said he had a drink with Paul years later and they had a laugh about it. But at the time he was furious.
First saw Maiden way back in1977 became an instant fan going to see them in July in the UK for the164th time & will continue to support them 150% great reaction guys

Iron Maiden are touring RIGHT NOW. They've only just started their latest trek
First Maiden concert was 1981 in the U.S. and am seeing them next week in Prague on the 2nd of 2 nights. About 18-20 times seeing them since the first show when they were just getting started, with the most recent being last fall, and it was the most impressive of all their performances. Ageless wonders is an understatement. Their attitude and drive, demonstrated show after show after show for 40+ years, is really something to be celebrated.
He almost had his own airline but that was not approved by England ;)

Saw them several times in the 80's and 90's, last saw them in London in 2018 and they were still absolutely killing it. Just the consummate professionals with an amazing show every time. It isnt just a gig, it's an experience. One of the greatest live acts of all time. Do not turn down the chance to see them if you can!

Bruce Dickinson on God level
Maiden were formed in 1975 and released their eponymous album in 1980, followed by Killers in 1981 both with Paul Di'Anno on vocals. I first saw them about that time and also a band called Samson with Bruce on vocals before he joined Maiden and first sang on the third album called The Number of the Beast.
Woo hoo. I'm seeing Maiden on their "The Future Past tour" on July 8th at the 02 arena, London. Watching this classic banger again has made me even more excited.🤘😁🤘

Always loved this riff. And the official video has all the various Eddie posters throughout the decades during the solo. As a Canadian kid I always got a kick out of the Mountie, even if for a half-second
They're well into their sixties now and Nicko the drummer is in his seventies. I'm going to see them in six weeks and seen them last year. Still act like teen-agers 😊

Back in the mid 2000’s my buddies and I would rip the old backroads of our home town blasting Maiden and hollering the lyrics in to the night. There were very few sub par songs but something two of my pals and I had was the unHoly Trinity.

0:50 Iron Maiden does not own their own B747. The B747 they used was owned by aircraft charter company Air Atlanta Icelandic and was _leased_ by Iron Maiden.
The aircraft in this video is a B757 and I _think_ it's the one Iron Maiden paid for (and retained the IP for) a Supplementary Type Certificate - STC - to convert part of the passenger compartment in to extra freight compartment. I have this from Bruce himself face to face! He's a super interesting guy to talk to; the best bit is that if you didn't know who he was, you'd never know he was a mega rock god - absolutely zero air of pretence.
Yes, Bruce has a commercial pilot's licence with 'passenger jet' type ratings (I forget which ones).
Fuck yeah they are still touring. You really should go see them. Because eternal as they are.. they will end in the coming few years. You have to experience them live.

Iron Maiden had a Boeing 747 but it was taken out of service in 2022, but they also use a Boeing 757 and in 2023 it is unknown if Iron Maiden will continue to use their own plane for world tours

they leased the plane, bruce is a professional pilot when not singing of passenger jetsand flew regular flights so he could hsave been your pilot and he tells of being in his csaptasins uniform and a maiden fan covered in patches came up and asked for directions and didn't recognize him. such are forced to retire at 65 so he has grown his hair long agsain. he also flies a ww1 plane like that of the red baron.
Iron Maiden didn't own the 757 or the 747. They leased it from separate companies and also Bruce Dickinson is retired from flying as we speak. He flies no more. But Maiden Still rocks. I suggest you react to "Hell On Earth". Which is probably the greatest song that Maiden has ever done.
Most of what you said is correct, only he is retired from commercial flying. He still owns and flies his own vintage planes

The plane's they had used were leased by the band and not owned by the band, Bruce has retired from piloting due to aging out and the Queen of the skies has been decomissioned and is no longer in service

Don't just take the chance to see them. Go a little out of the way. I've probably seen 200 concerts and this is top 5 and it was less then 10 years ago.
I love that album. IMO all songs on that album is as good as Wasted Years. I'll have my wife had that song played in my furneral, the best lyrics ever!
