Seriously, just browsing on Instagram and saw it thinking immediately it’s gotta be fake news. God I wish this was fake news
@Stickee Bee Garden Kobe isn't just "people", he's a heavily looked up upon rolemodel and a legend within the NBA
Maybe nothing changed for you but saying nothing changed is you ignoring millions of people who looked up to him
That's exactly how it felt. Everything was normal then I turn on ESPN and see on bottom left hand corner " In loving memory of Kobe 1978-2020" and my heart dropped. He was so young, even though his playing days are over his fatherly days were not. Heck for all we know he could've made a great host on TNT in 5 years or so. Also, his young daughter dreamed of playing in the WNBA and now everything was shattered. Nothing makes sense anymore
He should have scheduled an appointment then so that no one would get caught off guard.
This just shows how quickly life can turn around. Literally just yesterday when you heard about Kobe in the news it was about Lebron passing him in all time scoring and the inevitable debates about who's better. Back in university I used to listen to Kobe motivational videos while studying and especially just before an exam, and then I would walk into that exam room on some mamba mentality and just completely slaughter those exams. 1 statistics exam in particular I remember walking in with such an intense focus that I finished a 3 hour exam within 1 hour and ended getting a 98% score.
Good job brother
Same here, friend. I primed my brain for success with Kobe videos everyday for like 6 months straight. Had him and MJ as my background for 3 years now. Kobe's mindset is what got me into a top business school and MBA program and now I'm getting the most top offers in my program. I owe it to the mamba mentality. I owe my family, friends, and KOBE my current success that I accomplished in 3 years what others do in 10. People like us know just how valuable Kobe was and how potent his mambe mentality really is.
I got into Georgia Tech aero engineering program on my 2nd try due to the inspiration of the black mamba. The sting of not getting it the first time drove me maniacal and it pushed me hard to get it. I would watch his 2009 lakers team highlights to keep me motivated during that first year at a different university.

I was thinking the same thing. What could a father say when that chopper is going down . He must have blamed himself before and that breaks my heart
He was probably hugging her kissing her forehead before they went down , so sad.😔
Knowing Kobe’s mentality, I can imagine he was holding Gigi’s hands and telling her, “everything is going to be alright, we’re going to make it” doing his best to give her comfort.
This accident probably occurred without any conceivable notice. It appears to be CFIT (Controlled Flight Into Terrain). In those cases, it's over in an instant, a blessing, really.

Rest In Peace 🙏🏼
Itll be even that more meaningful
JKW you right
It’ll have a greater meaning
When you shout "Kobe", you make sure its your best shot.
Bro hearing the title “Kobe Bryant Dead” just doesn’t sound right bro, I’m still hurting by this news😭

For real
First the unrest against systemic racism, then the health dangers of the Covid-19 pandemic and now the deaths of two notable celebrities. Kobe Bryant and Chadwick Boseman. I’m officially done with 2020.

When I heard the news on the Radio I cried I did for the whole day and days after that I still do
First time I ever seen this man cry on TV
i think i saw him cry little bit talking about stewart scott, but not this much
Not to take away from Kobe but Stephen A. cried on set during First Take when he found out John Saunders passed. Literally cried for a minute or two before he could speak.
Jerome Marshall everyone cries now and then
It friggen Kobe Bryant for God sakes of course he's crying
@@strikeout77777 stewart scotts daughters speech about everytime she gets a new phone she puts his number in it gets me every time
Bro I can’t even imagine what Vanessa is going through. Losing her husband and her child is just unimaginable. Stay strong Vanessa you will get through this♥️
Message for Vanessa they will always be there and to qoute Luke Combs "Even though I'm leaving it don't mean that I won't be right by your side"
Ryalz ツ stay strong?
Janelle Speaks yeah what about it?
Ryalz ツ you never get through something like this.. you can only learn to live with it . Gonna pray for her and her daughters. The world needs love right now. Be kind to one another.
versacee I know that I’m not brain dead
Stephen smith has power in his voice usually. Hes so quiet. This is the effects of losing someone that you truly care about
Rest up mamba
Today makes it 3 years sense their deaths. REST UP KOBE
Man just being a father I can’t image seeing the fear in your kids eyes and knowing you can’t do nothing to protect them 😢😢😢😢
That’s the same thoughts I had.
I fear nothing in life but this type of situation that you can’t do anything to protect your love ones is something I fear the most even in thoughts.
Myk V gut-wrenching. makes me wanna throw up
Myk V I said the exact same
Fortunately, I imagine things happened so quickly, they probably never had time to process what was happening.🙏🏼

It’s already heartbreaking that we lost Kobe but worst off we also lost 8 others, including his daughter...
Gody .B if Kobe wasn’t on board, we wouldn’t be talking about this
@@antwanthorogood4921 we would, you know any nba players kids would definitely be talked about if they died.
Antwan Thorogood honestly I completely agree, unfortunately that’s how is it
HetrixSpamzL2- if Kobe wasn’t on it, the crash would be reported and that’s about it. And sadly, if only his daughter was on it, we’d “send our prayers to him and his family” And then go on. We wouldn’t have stopped very long, sad but true.
Well we wouldn’t be talking about it because who are the other people? Why don’t we know about them
11 months later and I just can’t. I hope his wife and kids are doing good. I’m still numb. Nobody ever thought Kobe would go. He seemed unstoppable and he truly was just starting his after nba life. I can’t 💔
I can only imagine Kobe trying to comfort his daughter till the end. Its heartbreaking to think about 😢
That couldn’t have happen given the overwhelming evidence. At most they had 3 seconds to realize what was happening. In all likelihood they crashed 180 mph and died immediately. Heart breaking none the less
@@andydoufreisn2973 the split second they hit the ground?
Stephen A Smith is Heartbroken. You can see it in his eyes.
His eyes are all red from crying
Hes a faker
Kobe and stephen are all illuminati sellouts
@@joshuasmith6346 So what drugs did you take this time?
U can hear it in his voice
Let’s also not forget that John Altobelli, his wife and one of his daughters were in that crash too. Now theyre lived on by their son and other daughter.
*edit* : since it’s so hard for some people to read and comprehend the words, I’m talking about John’s wife and family. I never once claimed Kobe’s wife, Vanessa, was involved.
its unbelievable. theres other people that died. can we at least say their names.
Amen
Man so so sad
Yea, good call. They all should be mourned.
Aww poor babies I hope the kids receive all the love and care ! Prayers for all involved this is terrible .

I can’t imagine losing my better half, let alone one of my kids. It would destroy me completely.
This is beyond tragic and just heartbreaking!
Every human on this earth will pass away ! U, me , my child, your kids , our parents ( my mom passed away when I was 14 yrs old ) , family members, friends , etc . We are not here forever ! All of us will not pass away from old age in our sleep. Where I'm from we celebrate when someone pass away. We rejoice , sing, dance , give huge parties , laugh ! To keep a sane mind people must talk about death with their love ones .
in the same day
The only thing that would keep me going would be my other children
She still has three more daughters she's gotta be strong
Awful for the wife. She lost her husband AND a daughter.
Yet, she has to stay strong for the other kids
And one of the kids is a toddler and Capri is an infant. Capri will probably have no memory of her dad. I'm heartbroken for the family. I don't know about Kobe's relationship with God but you must repent. I know he went through years of infedility. And he made those right with his wife but who knows if he made those right with God. And this is an absolute tragedy because he was such a great man doing many great charitable things for many people. It's a sad day
samslick90 man that’s the truth.
@@izang5800 who cares what he believed in

And deal with all of the funeral arrangements. That is the worst.
When I heard his daughter died too...that tore me to pieces knowing they connected through basketball...I cry everyone I see pictures of them😔😔
I was 8 when Kobe won the dunk contest, 11-13 during the 3peat, still feels like my Los Angeles childhood was ripped out
When you see things like this, it makes you realise that life is too unpredictable, there is no time for hostility in your heart, learn to forgive, its hard but it’s a burden you just don’t need.
