      Yes, there is plenty of carp. Just no one is looking for them. I have seen them in the shallows when spawning.

      Thanks! I'm making the jigs for myself for my own needs. The baits are most of them from aliexpress and some custom worm specially designed for trout.

    Really want to give this reservoire a try after I saw your video! It looks like worst case scenario would be a nice day boating. I’ve never fished for trouts though. Is it a nice season now (November) or should I wait for spring? Thanks!

      If fish is biting you will have lots of fun. I personally preferred the spring or early summer for trout fishing. Winter is not my favourite time to go there because it is cold and it can get quite windy and unpleasant,but you never know which day will be best.

      @@hungryfish7352 I guess in such a big body of water it can be pretty choppy if it's windy! Thanks for your answer!

    I remember the good days when Hanningfield was a fly only fishery before what it has become now.

      It would be nice if they make it fly and spinning only.
      No floats and no bottom fishing with paste.

    Winding like that must give you loads of line twist ?

    • @hungryfish7352
      @hungryfish7352  Рік тому

      Line twists are caused by spinners and spoons.

      @darrenrodd. Рік тому +1

      @Hungry Fish if u have a fish on the line which is heavy that holds the line, and yr twisting the line by reeling with such a lose drag

    • @hungryfish7352
      @hungryfish7352  Рік тому +1

      I think that is correct, but in this case, I didn't experience any line twist, to be honest.

      @@darrenrodd. He uses high end JDM spinning reels . They generally have two line roller bearings which eliminates line twists .
