      @@h.Freeman I rarely do but I let it sit whereas some people can’t help but play with it. It does depend on the structure and weeds where you fish. I have many videos and I have few problems. Bubbles don’t snag as often but the fish can pick up the bait for a long time before a bite is recognized. They can take the bait too long and too deep increasing mortality and I don’t like to kill fish needlessly.

    Very interesting way to fish PB. I only use the bubble when using wooly-buggers or power worms, allowing it to sink somewhat before I slowly start reeling it in. I will try it with your recommendation of the two types of PB and see how that works. I live in the Sacramento area and there are lots of lakes to fish and they have just started to stock them with trout. I will update with my results, Thanks.

      @@joshtheberry10The water in the bubble sinks it slowly. And you don't need to use a bead between the barrel swivel and the bobber, the swivel will keep it from sliding down. The idea is not necessarily let it sink to the bottom, but you want to reel it in slowly at the depth the fish are in. I usually don't let it sink more than 5 feet when fishing and change the depth until I start getting hits. Try using wooly-bugger flys instead of power bait or worms. A great way to catch fish when nobody else is!

      After you cast put a regular bobber on the line in between the eyes on your pole then pull it down which pulls slack in your line an looks like a v when you get a bite the bobber will start to rise when all the slack is gone set the hook I caught my limit in thirty mins a bunch of times using this method good luck.

    • @mac148
      @mac148 Рік тому

      @@michaeleshbaugh6797 Yes i do that sometimes you can also not fully tighten your line leave a bow in the line watch for it going tight or slack that can be good for wary fish

    • @Memo-nd6fj
      @Memo-nd6fj 7 місяців тому

      @@michaeleshbaugh6797 That is the only method I use when bait fishing. I crack up when I see YT'ers putting bells on the tip of their lines. Ineffective compared to using a bobber to pull the slack out of your line. Fish cannot feel any weight on the line and will take your offering more freely as opposed to using a bell on your line bc you need to tighten your line and the fish will feel the rods tension when it starts to take your bait.

      @@SimonC82686 agree in general fish deep hooked and released are very likely to die soon after release. They may appear ok because they can swim away but they have a hole in their gut which will eventually kill them. I have bled trout by pulling out the gills. They don't die instantly and if they were not a stringer they would swim away only to die minutes later.
