Hi Stiliyan! I have got my 2023 Vanquish and I’m very pleased with it. Out of interest, what is the make of the reel stand? The one you have looks better than those I’ve seen on line so far. Thank you in advance and thanks for the great vids 👍
Great stuff Stiliyan! Question: what is the casting weight of the rod? Is it M/L or M? It can’t be a light surely? And what braid? I have been having great success with your PL camolas, but the big Chub (6lbers) are too much for my 1-8g rod. I can’t stop them from diving the other side of near bank trees and losing them. It is a 10m wide river and very overgrown. If I use a stiffer rod, I will not be able to cast the lure??
Thanks! It is medium/light rod 1.5-15gr, but it is quite powerful. As you said, ultralight or light rods can't control the fish well and pull it out of the hiding spot. The braid is varivas light game 0.4 and 0.17 or 0.18 trabucco fluorocarbon. This rod can cast anything, but you won't feel the small lure very well unless you go down on the braid(0.2 ygk). So far, the biggest chub this summer was 7.5 lb with that combo. Had one decent carp on camola as well, but the spot was quite narrow, and I lost it :(
@@hungryfish7352 Stiliyan, can I ask you your opinion, as an experienced lure angler, of a Major Craft Aji-Do 1 - 15g rod. I cannot warrant spending £100s on an Evergreen, but the Aji-Do does sound good. Thanking you in advance 👍
@paulharris6886 I have not used it, so I can tell anything about it. I have tried the one up 5gr. and I did like it,but I know people that have the one up to 15 and they are happy with their purchase.

This is the one that I use for my reel.
Great video, why a chub at the end 👏can you tell me how you hook the lures, do you have a exsposed hook or are the rigged weedles on a ewg hook?
Exposed hook would be best, but because I had to go under the bush, weedless hook was needed as very often I would get the lure in the bushes.
Nice video, just bought the vanquish 2500s unbelievable reel 🔥🎣
Are we talking about the new vanquish?
@@hungryfish7352I hope not, new one blows ass
2019 bought it new at good price made up with it 🎣
@@Matt-uq3in you can't go wrong with the 2019 model 😉
@@hungryfish7352 Out of interest, why is the 2019 Vanquish superior to the 2023? I’m going to be in the market for one very soon 👍

Just came across your channel, see you fish in Essex a bit! Great Videos mate! Maybe a collab in the future! :P
Thanks! We might do something, not very familiar with the rivers around Essex, so a bit of guiding might help me catch some big fish.
