Hey guys, first off thank you so much for your concern in the comments about Peter. I’ve said this many times before, but I have the best subscribers in the world and appreciate you all looking out for someone that you’ve seen on my channel. I may touch on this in the future, but for now, I need to let you know that Peter no longer works for Legit Street Cars and he’s no longer associated with Legit Street Cars as a channel, brand, or company. Peter is no longer allowed on my personal property or at my shop. Please understand I can't comment any further and my hope is we can keep things respectful, and keep speculation out of this for the sake of all parties. I am going to keep moving forward and doing what I love most and that is wrenching on cars and sharing the adventure with all of you. We all have the decision in life to let things hold us back or rise above, and I choose the latter. Big thanks to my wife, family, closest friends, and to all of you. You guys make this channel possible and together we’ve created one of the most positive automotive communities in all of UA-cam. I’ll see you all in the next video! Alex
Alex thanks for letting us know. I appreciate the update will not ask about Peter again. Keep making your dream happen and thanks for including us on the journey.
I noticed a little malice between you guys last video. Felt a bit lile Tavarish and Jared before their split. Hopefully it's nothing to serious, and is just an arguement that went too far. I was really hoping to see his conquest
Those calipers are monsters! This car is going to be a great daily. Listening to the V8 rumble and the supercharger whine is so much better than the silence of the Tesla...
Without a doubt you have the best tutorials anywhere. Lighting, detail, editing, clarity of explanation, OCD overlay. You have it all. On top of that your aesthetic instincts are spot on. Overall entertainment value: Priceless. Thank you!
Bro........Alex..........Your attention to detail, even in camera views as well as mechanic work is seriously unmatched! You are a master at what you do and we thank you! Such a joy to watch you week after week my friend!
The piano black finish can be polished and even protected with the Ceramic coating you are using too. I have done it many times for my clients when Detailing their vehicles
Its amazing to see people make enough to accomplish their goals. Idk where i messed up. I work 2 full time jobs and somehow my bills own me. But im happy others get to do it.
Lol, love the headrest barely staying up in the beginning. So much TLC needed for this beauty, that will get in spades from Legit Street Cars for sure. Love shooting brake designs, so much utility with unsuspecting performance. Thumbs up if you love Shooting Brakes.👍
My best subscribe ever. I appreciate that you show the hard stuff instead of skipping over it. I've learned so much just watching a handful of your videos the last few weeks. This is the best channel on UA-cam and it's not even close. Oh, and no ketchup should EVER touch a hotdog.
Yes, the chrome grille is much better looking as are the lenses. I did grow up liking ketchup on my hotdog, but once I had Johnsonville brauts, I never had hotdogs again. Looks really nice, great job!
You guys, donut, and car wizard are my favorite car channels in that order lol. Love your videos brother, it’s always a good Saturday morning watching your new episodes ❤
@JWHagan it's donut media. It's a funny very informative car video show. They do funny car test. Then they do high car vs low car builds. Like one car gets top of the line parts. The other gets bare minimum. Then do like road courses with them or rock climbing
How about we all keep supporting Alex the way we do, by smashing the like button and subscribing. As always Alex, great video and content. Onward and upward towards 1 million Subs.
Nice to see one of my dream car being treated so well. The coupe version with the manual transmission of the CTS-V was also very cool! Btw, i always eat two hot-dogs: one with ketchup, one with mustard. Keep on the good work, to you and your crew!
I think the ultimate combo is the manual wagon - most of the fun of the coupe with the practicality of cargo space. That way you don't need a separate fun car, or your fun car can be more extreme, like a Corvette or Miata, that offers something different than your daily.
I was locked in, soon as I saw how calipers are cared for, my style. After fifty years rebuilding them, they are so critical to perfect brakes when processed perfect. I'm a once a yr fluid change out in August when fall nights get so wet with humidity. Now system is protected all winter. I know this is like an OG solo Alex episode but it’s just not the same without Peter being there and watching you two back and forth or Peter finding things too taste.
I found Goo Gone to be the pretty good for Plasti-Dip Removal. I myself, am not a chrome guy... To each his own...but I have to admit, the chrome does it right on that CTS-V Wagon!!! Question / experiment thought. For the rear light assy., using the old one, you should see if you can heat it up like you did with the headlights your homemade oven and if maybe you could reform the plastic to original position as it cools so it doesn't curl up at the top.... If successful, you can do the others for the car... Again, just a thought..... I upgraded my '11 Grand Cherokee to the Tesla style radio panel... I freakin' LOVE IT!!!... I do agree with your choice and reasoning to go the way you went with your infotainment setup...
SOOO glad to have found this channel, I thought car creators were just the same boring Stradman stuff now - buy a new lambo every vid, cheap looking wide body kit, an overcompensating-for-something wrap and an exhaust you can hear literally a mile away. THIS channel is such a refreshing change, thank you!
I would go for the piano black trim. I really doubt you'd destroy it again that bad, since you spent 10 years carefully pressing the edge of the buttons on that Pontiac radio making sure it wouldn't wear. lol
Great content as always, never disappointing. I started following your channel when it still wasn't a full time job. So as far as I'm concerned it dosen't change my opinion of your work, that being said I think that you owe us followers an explanation as to why Peter isn't showing up anymore.. just imho
Love love love your channel and what you're doing over there for our viewing pleasure and for all that you give back/pay forward! God bless & look forward to the next one! 💙🙏🏼👊🏼
As the owner of a Gen 3 CTS-V, I'm really enjoying your Cadillac content. I was hoping you would go back to silver calipers on your wagon, but that's ok. I really like the new steering wheel, and you are lucky to have Recaros with cooling feature, as the Recaros in the Gen 3 cars unfortunately lack cooling. I hope one day you will feature a Gen 3 CTS-V on your channel. It would also be awesome to see some 3rd Gen F-body content, maybe pick a car that is in rough shape/heavily modified, and restore it back to better than stock condition.
I post here a lot and I own a Black W211 E55 sedan just like/because of the one Alex had and I became a fan of the channel doing the paint correction, maintenance and performance upgrades to it. I bought it as a daily before Covid but after all of the work I had put into it, it was getting to be ‘too nice to daily’ so it stays in the garage until the weekends. I drive it to work more now that the weather is getting better but my ‘daily, daily’ is a nearly mint 01 Mercedes W210 E430 that is lowered slightly with a set of aftermarket gunmetal grey wheels. It’s also black with tinted windows and almost everything still works! It had an Alpine head unit when I bought it that I plan on adding a multi-channel amp and replace all of the speakers and I need to rebuild the driver’s seat and replace the foam and repair a leaking lumbar bladder. I have a set of CLK Brembo calipers waiting on the next brake job and I have a new water pump and hoses that will get done very soon. I get my maintenance and service supplies from FCP Euro and my performance stuff from VRP, MK Ultra, and RaceIQ and I rely on Alex’s videos to get me through the heavy lifting. Most UA-camrs don’t change someone’s life but I never would have bought an old Mercedes, much less 2! 😂 Thank you for the fun that you have personally brought into my own life due to your content and the hard work you have put into building your channel. I look forward to your videos every Saturday, keep up the great channel!
Awesome job with the wagon! Doug Demuro is a huge fan of wagons also. Wasn’t a huge fan of wagons before but you two have made me a believer. Keep up the great work!
Alex, I truly love the Cadillac CTS's!!! My 09 has 42000 miles and I still love the looks and the car overall. I am working to put the factory Nav in this car. If I'm able to achieve this I think I also put in the Vline! Thanks so much for you guys do, love the channel! Semper FI my friends!!
OK where is Peter Alex you make the show like it's junior high lots of fun, but Peter brings the elementary school back and combines you with him and makes it so much more fun!!!!!🎉🥳🎉
My daily is a Mercedes 203 chassis. They get some flack for the design, but especially the facelift like I have, is built very well and doing maintenance yourself is very doable!
Thanks for the info on The Wheel Exchange. I've looked at them at different times over the years and was always fearful there was some scam involved. Good to know they're on the up and up
While i'm more of a Dodge Magnum SRT8 guy, I've always appreciated these CTS-V Wagons with their more limited production compared to the Sedans. REALLY makes me want to buy a V8 Magnum even more now (even though I've already got a Crown Vic P71)! Hope this CTS-V gives you plenty of miles and smiles for years to come man!
Alex, Watching you over the years has been amazing! To watch you become more knowledgeable after every show, to watch you tear apart complete engines; V12 or otherwise and then put them back together again, to watch your total fearless approach to all things mechanical and I mean ALL THINGS has been truly wonderful and inspirational to watch and learn from!! You have such a fantastic personality, mind set, work ethic, moral code and boundless integrity that you should be required viewing for all folks wondering what they want to do in life. To see all your hard work pay off as the number of fans and subscribers grow close to a million and that this fact has led & allowed you to purchase dream cars and fix them all to levels only dreamt about years before. You’re an inspiration to so many, myself and my son included, and I wish you continued success knowing that you will continue to grow in both knowledge and business acumen. I’m 75 years old and you will outlive me by many years and it is with much regret that I will miss watching your continued success on your show and in other avenues of success as they open up to you. Good luck my friend even though you don’t need it as you have everything you need to obtain phenomenal success!!!
W204 C63 is my daily, doing all maintenance watching you😂. Since 2017 we are friend and we don't know each other. Hope we meet up, keep the good stuff!! 👍
I love premium wagons. One car I wish I never sold was my 2002 BMW 325 iX wagon. I could put so much in the back and it handled better than the 550i that replaced that wagon. Sure the 550i was insanely quick but I couldn’t even fit an ice chest in the trunk. Great job, now I’m wanting a CTS-V wagon!
Hey Alex, what a beautiful car. Yes the chrome looks way better than the plastidip. Great choice! Yes, i like ketchup on my hot dogs or sausages along with mustard and chopped onions. Sorry to hear about Peter, i thought you guys made a great team. I'm a huge fan of wagons. I never understood why the Magnum didn't do better either. I'm looking forward to your next episode. Cheers!
Hello Alex. When you take the calliper of a car whit ABS, take thinn plaster be twen your lid to the resovare, then the brakefluid is not leak out. Best reagard from Sweden 😊
Well done. I’m a Boomer, grew up in station wagons, love my black-on-black ‘11 CTS-V wagon. I’ve had it about four years and will hit 100K miles pretty soon. Really don’t want to know how much that lovely flat-bottomed steering wheel cost, because then I’ll have to figure out how to afford one. I can better justify an exchange to the durably-chromed wheels you featured, as mine are pretty pitiful. Keep up the good work, enjoy what I consider an awesome and totally manageable daily driver.
I ll love to see a paint job on this to possibly metallic black with blue brake callipers right now it does look very nice but I am getting old man vibes from it 😂 shame Peter couldn’t join us on this transformation video
Breakfast with the Beatles is on XM every Sunday if you still want to hear it. & yeah, Beatles, Beach Boys & all the "oldies," love them all! Keep up the good work, love the videos and all the helpful info!
Never would have thought to Google it before but it seems like your boy has a record for sticky fingers around cars. Shame he couldn't leave that life behind and hopefully you didn't lose much, here's hoping for a redemption story a few years from now. Tho the idea of Peter secretly running a late night chop shop without you knowing is kinda funny
Living in Mexico, where they do hotdogs VERY differently, I've learned to love mayo, sliced tomatoes, onions, mustard AND ketchup on my Kirkland hotdogs! Delicious!
Dang the boys over at the wheel exchange out here looking out tough sending you a set to put on before you send your old rims back... Them boys out here thinking a Jimmy John's with the freaky fast delivery... 😂😂😂
@@2003cobramustang really do like the style of the Edge ST, I have a modified Focus ST, just wish they gave the edge more stock power, just to push it to the obscene barrier like the Jeep Trackhawk or Durango SRT to match the aggressive styling.👍 I am sure you can get a quality reliable tune to wake up the engine, and flip flop to stock when needed.
@@scottgordon3669 the stock Supercharger was replaced due to it eatting itself. I had Hawks Motorsports in the South Carolina, put in New Supercharger that was a port and polished. Changed the pulleys and added the Air Raid intake. They Tuned the motor and Transmission. I believe that I was the first owner after the crash.
If you use rubber/brake grease to install the seals only use the tiniest amount that will do the job as it can trap air and cause spongy brakes. If reusing pistons you might want to lightly hone them with 1200 grit paper.

Always been a big fan of the sport wagons. you can really get alot of use and fun out of them. i say enjoy and sorry to read about you and Peter going your own ways but as the saying goes life goes on. i hope one day you both can get wharever issues you have going on and renew your friendship, all the best.

Tho the idea of Peter secretly running a late night chop shop without you knowing is kinda funny
great job can't get enough of your work ... what happened to Peter?
Alex fired Peter again this week feelsbad. Great video as always looking forward to seeing what you do to the CTS-V
@@rawcado in jail? T.T for what?
@@rawcado Peter was immature and offered nothing productive.
What was your dream daily driver?
My Jeep wrangler is my dream daily driver I just wish it had a lil more power.
Love my fords so a edge ST or a Subaru sti i know it’s not a ford
LM002... With an Italian mechanic in the back seat.
I am the oddball that would say a 2003 Terminator.
My old CTSV Wagon looks amazing! Great job Alex 🤙🏼🙂
Did you own this too? I sold it to Hoovie. I have questions....
@@scottgordon3669 I did own her, from late 2017 to mid 2018. I'd be more than happy to answer any questions you might have
@LoveToDrive what do you know about the supercharger? I knew it wasn't stock but that's all and did you own it when it got wrecked? Thanks!
The Chrome grill always goes well with the jewel headlamps. 😊
If you use rubber/brake grease to install the seals only use the tiniest amount that will do the job as it can trap air and cause spongy brakes.
If reusing pistons you might want to lightly hone them with 1200 grit paper.
Is Peter on vacation? MISS HIM!!
If I had to bet they have parted ways. I don’t see any of his stuff in the background.
@@peterlamariana4647 Alex seems to be pretty upfront with his audience. I can't imagine why he wouldn't make a general announcement, otherwise the questioning will increase in tone and tenor.
Where Peter at?
Where thou thy petahh?
Seriously, we missed him a lot. Seems there are some trouble with Alex!
@@mobbak better show some evidence that you somehow have intimate knowledge of their personal relationship on the fact that you think they are having issues, really irresponsible to put stuff like that out there if there's no basis to a claim like that
He could be on vacation 🤔
@@11cramm11 I didn't say for sure, if you read my comment carefully, you will find word "seems". I just assumed
Where is Peter he would have got that rotor off with one hit LoL
He got fired for hitting on misses legit streetcars .
@@krisi.2011speculation or facts?
Been here enjoying your videos long before Peter was around and will continue to do so. Keep up the great work Alex
you ever think about testing every car you get on a drag strip?....it would be fun to know how quick these legit street cars are
Alex where is Peter awesome job 👏 😊

Always been a big fan of the sport wagons. you can really get alot of use and fun out of them. i say enjoy and sorry to read about you and Peter going your own ways but as the saying goes life goes on. i hope one day you both can get wharever issues you have going on and renew your friendship, all the best.
Did you fire Peter, or did he quit?
Why act like nothing happend??
Noticed it right away, just tell us like it is!
we need Peter!!
Wheres peter,last 2 vids 🤷♂️🤷♂️
That axial shock load with a sledge hammer made those wheel bearings feel really good
The 3rd gen went up to 15.35 (390mm) and 14.37 (365mm). I upgraded the factory 12" or so on my VSport to the V3's and holy moly they are huge!
Where's Peter?
WHERES PETER??????????????????????????????????
I listened to Beatles Brunch every Sunday at work! It is still on at least on internet radio, maybe over the air.
LOVE the lights, LOVE the Chrome, LOVE the Mustard and Ketchup name (don't actually LIKE Mustard myself and Wife is Anaphylactic to it) LOVE Ketchup on Hot Dogs. Most of all I LOVE how happy you are.
Peter would have gotten that rotor off with 1 hit, 1 hit Pete 😅
