Awesome reminds me of when I purchased my bike through a online dealer and it arrived on a Saturday 😂 I was excited to finally see it & touch it in person lol
Yea it’s a bit of a hassle the way it reads you have to be referred to CHP by DMV. If they feel things dnt add up. Had to make two dmv trips and a chp inspection as well but the end result was worth it for my Road King also
I bought a pickup truck in Nevada 3 years ago , It had Nevada plates And I wanted to switch it over to California registration , 8 months later they finally done it , 3 inspectors went over that pickup truck Checking on every number that they can check on it
It’s good to figure it out for the next time you’ll know what to do how to get salvage bikes you have to do a lot of leg work DMV doesn’t do anything for you if you plan on buying more bikes in the future try to find somebody that does titles for you and then they’ll take care of your paperwork. I have bought several bikes from Copart nice you got your bike looks clean 👍🏽
YESSIRRRR!!!!!…. I can’t stand the DMV. It might be worth getting a AAA membership (if you don’t have one already) because you take care of a lot of dmv stuff there… well maybe not outta state salvage title stuff… But yeah mayne CONGRATULATIONS. $400 will get you a full inspection and oil change at your local Harley dealership. Just sayin 🫡✊🏾
Sup man,,I went through a similar situation with DMV in Woodland CA,, my bike was purchased from New Jersey. The lady inspector claimed she couldn't find the vin verification decal so she sent me to hiway patrol, there, I found out I had to make an appointment, Upon my return they also couldn't find the decal and gave mi a letter that DMV wouldn't accept. I eventually found the decal and went back to my local DMV asked to speak with manager, right there and then I explained their lack of professionalism and file for divorce from them in the lobby and I havent been back since. Vacaville Ca, Carmicheal Ca, and Colussa CA has the best DMVs ive been in,,they get stuff done.
Hey enjoy the bike it looks nice. I'm trying to do the same in Oklahoma City. Thanks for the video!
