I want to thank you guys.... I am a 53 year old from long Island and I caught the Corona Virus 18 days ago. Your channel got me through the misery of laying in one place for so long thinking I am going to be rushed to the hospital any minute. By the grace of God I am all healed up.
I haven't ridden a bike in 20 years but when I was younger I started with mini bikes and built them for every kid in the neighborhood. I graduated to dirt bikes then regular street bikes. When I got married my wife made me promise to give it up.
Welp as soon as this stay at home bs is over I am going to drive up to you guys and pickup a bike, even the wife is on board! I want something I can wrench on and make it my own.
Can't wait!!! thanks again for the great videos.

Wow amazing you recovered from covid omg its a miracle someone who didnt die from it holy crap , you mean its not as bad as the media has us believing wow surprise surprise , i havent changed the way i live, born free die free , i ride every day and keep living , its way out of controle out there and you gonna get it no matter what at this point so why bother trying to stop it like hidding in your house , its like pulling a bandaid off do it slow or get it over with fast , well our governments cant stop it now its toooooo late so why make us stay home and prolonge it ,the only thing this virus is doing is crashing the economy because nobodyis working , hmmmm virus or governments plan to take our freedoms , you decide . Im happy your fine but you did recover , so its people with health issues that need to be carefull not the healthy workers . Get out there and live now that your healed up , but be careful im sure if you tell people you had itthere going to treat ya like a lepper , ill still hug ya brother .....piece out

So taking something that's brand new and revving the crap out of it is respect? Nobody that respects any new engine does that to any new engine and I've worked on them half of a century and they all work better when they're run,in.. properly..if you don't break it in doesn't mean you're going to ruin it but it doesn't do it any good, carry on..
..I like watching this guy but he does not care about a new engine as far as any breaking. It's like a big joke so I guess if you have two or 300 motorcycles you really can't take care of any certain one so you just ride all of them basically wide open out of the box no time for a break in. Peroid

I Love the Sportsters. I know many people don't like them; but honestly the styling and the easy mods make the sportster a definite pick in my opinion. You can truly make it your own bike. Grew up around Harley's on my Dad's side, it was more like tradition or becoming a real man to get your first bike with your first job. Sadly the virus has put that dream to a halt. Maybe one day.

Professional's tip on Sportsters - when the bike is cold, the oil will look like it is low because it has drained down into the crankcase. **ALWAYS** check the oil on a Harley-Davidson when it is HOT. You probably just overfilled the oil.

I have been riding Harley's since 1964. I purchased a XLCH Sportster in 1975 when they were owned by AMF. I was going thru a qt. of Harley oil about every 150 miles because the rings wouldn't seat. The dealer took it back and bored it out and put in a oversize piston (1000 CC's) and a new set of rings and installed a Thermo Chem oil cooler as the rear cylinder was running hot. They covered all the cost and I rode that bike for 10 years and never had another problem..just regular maintenance. I'm on my 5th H/D now. I have owned lots of bikes and many makes and models and I never diss anyone's ride. I'm still riding at 74 years of age.

I'm not sure how this "offer" thing works, but the only one I can make is a story. My grandpa used to ride Harley, until he passed away when I was 8. I'm over 16 now, and haven't gotten a chance to share the experience he loved with him. Being able to share and keep that connection would be impactful. Tried to keep it short as requested :)

I run a small education focused woodworking channel and would be willing to make something like a key or display cabinet with maybe your logo carved some memorabilia you have as the door panel. Maybe some cross promotion?
I paid my way thru college on the 14yr night school program working motorcycle dealerships. Sold my last bike (ZRX1200) to relocate to teach High School some 15 years ago. Lately I've wanted to get something for a little minor touring/camping to visit legendary woodworkers around the country before they're gone and maybe make some content.

Dude, I like your channel, that's why I subscribed. I rarely comment but thought I'd share something.
See, I click share on vlogs I know will be of interest to my friends but more and more often these days get responses like... "15 minutes long! Geez man! I'm busy. Might watch it later" and I just know they won't because they'll forget.
I too look at the length of the video before I click or use the search filter to weed out anything over 4 minutes and don't bother sharing anything longer.
Many Tubers seem to want to produce Hollywood length videos these days. Big long time wasting intros, no script so they repeat their thoughts constantly using different words, music so loud it drowns out the purpose of the video or shitfull audio making the whole experience a cringe.
We only have so much free time. 3 videos of 20 minutes each is an hour gone. A bunch of short little useful videos is far easier to consume.
I know the reason people make longer videos is because videos over 10 minutes means it plays more ads and therefor makes them more money. Maybe make two vlogs if its a technical subject? A 4 min 'trailer' and the full director's cut for those that want to explore the deep stuff and have tons of free time.
Just some consumer advice if you are wanting to make UA-cam a full time income stream is all.
Now to the subject of overly long comments....

    Hey guys.
I'm from County Kerry in Ireland and I'm hoping to start riding soon. I haven't got any money and I'm not an amazing cook but what I can offer you is an amazing time should you ever decide to come to the beautiful town of dingle in Ireland. There are some amazing views along the coast as well as some amazing spots for riding and some great food. Thanks for taking the time to read this

I have a Sporty just like this, a 1992 XLH1200. There's some videos of it on my channel. It's a little rough, but it's reliable, fun and only has 12,000 miles. Unfortunately it's sat out ever since I bought it a few years ago, I just have no garage space. Once I get a stable place to keep it indoors, I plan to do a full rebuild of it including the motor.

Sparks flying on start," i should look into that", then proceeds not to and go ride without even checking for gas! How people are buying bikes from you is beyond me. And then you expect the guy who sold it to you to give you a full tank, even though you didn't even check or ask. That's why I'll never buy from any kind of business. Just previous owners that used the bike with no buissness in mind. The same with cars.

ld give ya a g profit for that ultra if it runs and isnt cam knocking...Evo Harleys expect 150k miles without any major issues be it 1340 ,1200, or 883..Some 1340s had cam bearing issues but is a relatively cheap easy repair if you know Evo... 😁

I’m the happy owner of a 1988 hugger sportster 883,and my wife bought it for me as a wedding gift in 2006 ,just rode it today and it’s got like 2,023 miles on it,only problem I’ve ever had was the head gasket blew so the dealership said it needed to get complete gaskets base up! Because they were paper ones and the ones now are metal so I that’s the only thing that’s been done since I’ve owned it! And I’ll keep it till I die?
