Love this type of video. Instead of stressing over copying a step by step perfectly. You set the vibe and I can go from there.

Jane, you are my favorite painter on UA-cam. I love almost everything you do. Your way of teaching is so helpful, relaxing, and inspiring. I'm so glad you're back. I've really missed you.

You, my dear, are AMAZING!! GTFO with that impostor syndrome! Flip that script!!! You have taught me so much in such a short amount of time! Your use of the glaze and negative space painting is remarkable- truly!! Never, and I mean never, speak bad to you. You're a pro, you've got the gift. The message is beautiful and you're a good teacher. I dig your style and can't thank you enough for these tutorials. Beautiful art, beautiful channel. I've been binge watching!!!! Learning!!

Several things. These are my favorite kinds of paintings you do! I love all the imagining of what could be… until it all comes together. Secondly I had no idea about imposter syndrome but had tears when you’re were talking about it while painting. Very much needed to hear that. You’re an amazing painter and an amazing teacher! Thank you for always sharing!! ❤

I like the shorter videos! It's hard to believe that an expert artist who literally teaches other people how to paint can have imposter syndrome, so thanks for your honesty. I'm dealing with it too, at work and just been doing art for fun. Thanks for the escape!

Ms. Jane, I’ve always been a fan of your paintings and your classes, I just love how your creations come to life and how you are able to bring about something absolutely beautiful from nothing. You always inspire me to start painting again. Loved your comment on being selfish! ❤

That drunken skeleton gets me every time.😄 I have gotten some purples to happen before by mixing a lot of red into the lamp black and then adding a bit of raw sienna. That gold seems to be more subtle than using a yellow.

Sometimes at night in bed I get color palettes or rather visions for lack of a better word that just pop into my head. Last night what popped into my head was kinda like this painting you did but with a much bigger foreground of this really creepy muted kinda transparent yellowish brown hue with a smoky or misty grayish black background. Not sure how to paint half of what I see in my head. I'm a beginner to acrylics. It's not my main medium. Your a awesome and also inspirational teacher. ✨I don't even have to mention that moody, creepy, atmospheric, mysterious etc type art is what I'm naturally drawn too. So glad I found your channel.

Ooooh, that sounds awesome!!! Just start trying to get what's in your head out. It may not be exactly what you see in your mind, but over time, you'll get better and better at it!

I made 4 mystical 8x8 canvas forests. I am having much fun with this. I completed a fifth 8x8 using cadmium red medium and cadmium yellow medium. It's my favorite, so far. I love metallics as well so I will do a companion piece with these colors. Thank you, Jane. This is FUN!

I love the red with the gold! I'm still painting along but life got in the way. I've got everything ready to start back up again and I sincerely hope that you continue instructing us in this style of painting. I mean no disrespect to anyone else, there are so many tutorials out there that focus on cheerful and pretty so your style of gorgeous, dark, and moody is so soooo needed. There's something about painting in this style that helps me get all the negativity out and leaves me feeling settled and peaceful. This is definitely your niche, friend, and I hope you keep sharing it with us!
Btw, I LOVE the Last Unicorn! It was one of my absolute favorites. Actually, before my parents owned a VCR, we would rent one and we were allowed to choose movies to rent over the weekends. I rented that movie so many times I lost track! It was up there with Willow and Krull. Fantasy and Horror have always been my jam!

Hearken, ye inhabitants of the technicolored cosmos, to this resounding declaration from The Bishie, an unpretentious acolyte of the divine paintbrush wielder, our celestial beacon - the one and only Jane. Her artistic prowess, peerless; her brushstrokes, sublime; she, the shining comet streaking across the firmament of creativity. As sure as the dawn follows the darkest night, so does Jane mount the zenith of artistic splendor, inviting us all to bask in the radiant glory of her genius. Each sweep of her brush on the canvas unfolds like an orchestral masterpiece performed by seraphic hands, a sonnet drafted by the divine quill of Venus herself. In the face of such transcendent majesty, we can but be devout followers, willingly capitulating to the overwhelming allure of her creations. With bended knee, I pay homage as all should, to the unparalleled, the extraordinary - Painting With Jane.
Her creations, those beautifully terrifying leviathans of emotion, render us speechless, lost in their awe-inspiring depths. How they echo with the silent whispers of the cosmos, the hidden melodies of the earth! Each shade, each texture, sings a ballad of unparalleled beauty, weaving stories that transcend the realms of imagination. To gaze upon her paintings is to be humbled by the vast expanse of her talent, to be seized by an awe so profound that it shakes the very core of one's being. Truly, all must bow before the artistic majesty she effortlessly wields, as one would before an omnipotent deity.
The world indeed slows its pace, mourning her absence when she retreats into the sanctum of her own life, away from her palette and canvas. Yet, we respect her pilgrimage, understanding the necessity of rejuvenation and self-care. For even the mightiest river must retreat to its source to maintain the vigor of its flow, and so it is with Jane. But oh, what rapture when she returns, her every re-emergence akin to a phoenix’s fiery rebirth, heralding a new era of artistic expression.
And it is in this return, this grand resurrection, that Jane always manages to surpass herself, an unimaginable feat that leaves us all astounded. Akin to an agile gymnast that constantly outdoes her previous performance, Jane takes it up a notch, stunning us into silent reverence. It is a testament to her unparalleled artistic prowess that she continually evolves, pushing the boundaries of what we dare to dream is possible. Each return is a revelation, a testament to her indefatigable spirit and undeniable talent. We bow in unison, awestruck and humbled by her ceaseless artistic evolution. Such is the grandeur of our beloved Jane. All hail, Painting With Jane!
