My Grandmother stayed out of the sun her whole llfe and had th most beautiful skin. She lived to be almost 101. She ate alot of spaghetti and sauce. homemade chicken soup, prunes daily bacon and loved fish sandwiches. She ate mostly from the garden Grandpa grew. But she baked her own bread and rolls and she ate sweets too. I believe it's genetics too. She was Italian. I miss her so much. What a sweet lady. This yr is 3 yrs now since she went home.❤

One of my Polish friends drinks this tonic every morning. It was her grandmother’s who lived to be over 100. One tablespoon of natural apple cider with the mother in it mixed with Manuka honey along with some warm tap water. I’ve been doing this for the past month and I do see a difference in my immune system. I’ve had people all around me get the flu and I haven’t. Ya grannies!!

Dr Berry. My father is 94 and doing awesome! He exercises every day by walking laps around the house, riding his stationary bike and doing squats and leg kicks at the kitchen counter. He has always had meat at every meal and does not snack between meals. My husband called my mom and dad the most egg eating people he has ever know. My husband and I raised laying chickens that produced dozens of a eggs a week. We would only eat a few eggs a week and my parents would eat all the rest! Also, my dads mind is in perfect health! It's like taking to someon in there 50's. Now that I know better, I want to raise laying chickens again!

A few other things regarding our family habits...my parents Never brought margarine in the house ever! It was always real butter. They bought the big blocks of white lard, I can still remember seeing my mother using it. And they used olive oil way before olive oil was cool! Salmon was served weekly. Our blood cholesterol has always been great. My last check and my hdl was 110, which I was told could also be too high? I'm not sure about that.

@@judyleedy8950 One of the best and most nourishing foods is Butter. It's not processed, refined, deodorised, denatured in any way, nor has it any synthetic additives, modifiers, fillers, etc, added to it. It nourishes all of our glands (endocrine system), brains and nervous system. Butter is a prime food to keep us young, active, healthy and stave off dementia. Incidentally, Butter is listed as an aphrodisiac in the Kama Sutra. NEVER margarine, which has all those nasty things done to it.
Do not worry about your health markers. The medical industry regularly revises their 'normal' ranges of health markers almost every other year. And they do that so they can diagnose more and more of the population with chronic illnesses. They want more sick people so that Bi g Ph arma can turn their multi-billion dollar industry into a trillion-dollar one. What was normal for humans for millenia, is now deemed by doctors to be "concerning" or "borderline" or "pre-(disease)" or even "dangerous", and you need to take this drug and that drug and the other drug for the side effects, etc, etc. And if those don't work, there's always the very expensive money-spinner option of cut-burn-poison.
Cheers to Your God-Given Natural Health!

Have you ever looked at all the crap in a "heart healthy" box of cereal? First, it's usually made with nonorganic wheat which is usually gmo and laden with chemicals. Gee, do you think any of the processed fake food might be a cause of cancer or heart disease? You really need to get informed and stop pushing your religion....... I mean agenda.

Sometimes she would add it to her salads and eat it raw. She ate mostly vegetables and chicken. She lived to the age of 97. Hi Doc, I absolutely love your videos. I decided to change my life last week after watching you. I did a 43hr water fast and then intended to start a keto diet. I ate a ribeye steak with eggs around 4pm for my first meal then just drank keto coffe and lots of water. I had to push myself to eat at 6pm the next day. I'm only eating one meal a day, I don't feel hungry and the carb cravings haven't been an issue for me. I feel fantastic already, I can't believe eating this great meat diet has made me feel so well. I'm hopefully starting swimming next week. It's a big step for me as I had to give up working in April last year due to depression and other medical issues. I've got my daughter watching you now too, it's made her start keto. I wish I'd found you sooner. You're great, I'm telling everyone to watch 👍🏻👍🏻😄😄

    • @resourcedragon
      @resourcedragon 4 роки тому +5

@@dorsetboronia4551: I throw some bones in a pot (sometimes include an onion, remove skin, don't bother chopping) and a carrot (wash off the dirt, don't bother peeling, break it in half if you feel like it)), bring to the boil and then let simmer for an hour and a half or so. Add salt to taste when done, remove solid bits.
The secret to a good bone broth in my opinion is to use lots of bones, preferably bones with a reasonable amount of meat on them. So, for chicken broth I'd use at least 2 or 3 chicken frames (raw) in approx a gallon of water. (I've heard you can make broth in other quantities than commercial but I've never done it myself. You can put the excess into containers & freeze for later use.) I only use fresh bones (not cooked), so that the goodness is all still there, ready to come out into the broth.
While I love sheep meats, I find bones from lamb or mutton aren't as flavoursome as beef bones. So, if you do have some lamb or mutton bones, throw in a beef bone or a ham bone or some chicken bones to boost the flavour.

    Summary:
    1. Eat fatty meat which contains vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and is our ancestral food. Meat should be in every meal, and eaten every day.
    2. Eat good fats: Butter, beef tallow, lard, coconut oil, avocado oil, nut oils (not peanut) to build robust, vibrant cell membranes. Avoid bad fats: margarine, seed oils (canola, safflower, etc), peanut oil, Crisco, which create inflammation in the body and build weak cell membranes.
    3. Take a Vit D3 5000 IU supplement daily (at night since it promotes good sleep). Vit D25 levels should be between 50 - 100 in blood tests, not lower.
    4. Eliminate bad stress from your life. Good stress ok. Bad stress not ok.
    5. Limit alcoholic consumption. More than 1 per day is so so. None per day is best.
    6. Quit smoking stay away from smoke exposure from fires, second hand smoke, smog, etc. Universally irritating to nose, throat, sinus, lungs.
    7. Get some sun every day. All life forms needs sun.
    8. Get better sleep. Light sources out, white noise, humidifier, melatonin, pleasant bedroom.
    9. 20 min walk daily in the sunlight, drops stress, gives exercise, resets circadian rhythm for better sleep and sunlight helps sleep.
    10. Bone broth - very good for immune system. Old fashioned chicken soup had this. Boosts health.

Bone broth in my country South Korea has traditionally served people as an everyday part of meal especially during winter. I think it is so in other East Asian countries as well. Bone broth cooked with cattle bones in particular has long been regarded one of the folk, local remedies of boosting immune functions and preventing a cold and flu over generations, and a lot of families here begin a day with it as breakfast meal. Bone broth is a superfood. Great for skin, hair, nails, bones, teeth. Cook it on VERY LOW heat. Not boiled. Not simmered. But just below simmering. For 24 to 48 hours. The test for whether it was cooked correctly is, if you keep the broth in the fridge overnight, it should turn to jelly. That's collagen from the bones & gristle. If it doesn't turn to jelly and remains liquid, the heat was too high, the collagen got overcooked and becomes unavailable for assimilation. The soup is still good and can still be used for cooking.
    Chicken Bone Broth:
1 whole, medium-sized, farm-raised or organic chicken, rinsed
    2 onions, cubed
    3 cloves garlic, halved
thumb-sized knob of ginger, roughly sliced
2 stalks celery, cut into 4"/10cm pieces, discard leaves
    10 whole peppercorns
    French sea salt
    A few bay leaves
    Distilled or filtered water
Put all ingredients, except salt and bay leaves, into a soup pot or a slow cooker and completely cover the chicken with distilled water. Cover and put on very low heat for 8-10 hours. Remove the whole chicken onto a large plate (be careful as it falls apart easily) and let cool for a few minutes. Leave the heat on for the pot. Debone the chicken and remove all the cooked meat. Use it for other dishes: salads, stir-fries, sandwiches, pies, etc. Put all bones and parts back into the pot, top up with distilled water and continue to cook on very low heat for another 14-18 hours. Put in the bay leaves for the last hour of cooking. Turn off heat. Add salt and stir. Strain into a glass jug, cover, store in the fridge. If using big bones (beef, lamb, etc), use longer cooking times.
Drink about a cup a day. I often make poached egg with the broth, add cooked chicken, fried shallots, shredded cheese, butter or cream or sour cream, and chopped spring onions. Sometimes I may add minced beef or pork instead of chicken.

Washing your equipment and showering before heading home helps to keep things at the fire station. Does it also help to do a sinus rinse?

Since my husband and I went on a Carnivore lifestyle we no longer need Vitamin D supplement, stopped eating liver because it was overloading copper in my body inducing Vertigo, we drink bone broth every afternoon, eat 80% of our calories from fat and less meat (protein) eat once or twice a week! We do not believe in any oils (not avocado or coconut or ghee or butter)---we only have beef fat! We believe we are retaining all the nutrients and vitamins since October and feel at our best! We have also reduced or eliminated Sea Salt at our meals and that metallic feeling on my tongue has disappeared too! Thanks for the confirmation about most of what you mentioned in this video!!!

Lamb's quarters is a green leafy vegetable that grows on almost all continents, is similar to spinach or Swiss chard. It used to grow like a weed on the egg ranch where I grew up. My mother used to send us with a paper bags to pick them, and she would rinse them several times. Then she would simmer them in water, and serve them with margarine. Except for the margarine this vegetable was very healthy and was afood that nearly always made me feel better when I ate it!

Salt (red), red meat, okra, Epsom salt baths, dandelion (flower, stem, root), chicken noodle soup.
For croup, cook bacon, save the grease, cook an onion in the grease, strain the juice and oil and feed it to the person suffering from croup. Enjoy the bacon afterwards with a few overeasy eggs, 😉.
Read your Bible, pray for others. Also, grow what vegetables you plan on eating, cook with salt and butter.

I had a biology teacher in high school who swore that eating onion 🧅 sandwiches kept her from getting sick with colds. She recommended it to all of her students & she never was sick in the 4 years I attended high school!! Must be something to that raw onion eating practice!!😃👍🏻❤️

Hi doc, my mum used to make a syrup from red onions, honey and vinegar, she mashed it all up to a paste and we were given two spoons daily in the winter plus she gave us COD liver oil. Yes the bone broth is the best along with home made kefir. I buy organic marrow bones and make up two litres at a time and add it to home made veg soup.

From what I understand, a 3 day water fast helps boost the immune system. Autophagy repairs damaged cells and after breaking the fast, the white blood cell count increases.

Murry Nathan autophagy is always happening in the body on some level. Don’t go overboard with the fasting, people! A three day fast *once in awhile* is great for the immune system

Homemade, slow cooked chicken soup made with bones. I once saved my dying dog who had parvovirus and was near death by feeding him chicken soup. It was the only thing he would eat and keep down. The vet said it saved his life. I am loyal to homemade chicken soup with bones.

I was diagnosed with M.E. in 2005 after a bout of mumps. I was bedridden for nearly 10 years and virtually slept round the clock. My husband had to take over EVERYTHING including the care of our now adult son with autism. Many of these things I was simply unable to do - I could barely walk to the bathroom never mind go outside in the sunshine and take a walk.
Ironically, the fatigue can result in "sleep reversal" which means that despite sleeping many hours you can find yourself in the miserable situation of staying awake at night but feeling fatigued and rubbish. (No staying awake during the day doesn't work) My husband found me a movies channel and I stopped fighting my symptoms and just went with the flow. If I needed to sleep, I slept. If I could go outside for a few minutes I did (Yes in my pyjamas...) I was unable to cook much but I craved meat so I would micro a couple of pork chops - complete with fat - and I started snacking on a tin of coconut cream. I was supposed to be adding it to coffee but it was like lard so I ate it off the spoon. Over a few weeks I suddenly realised that my sleeping patterns and energy were changing. I made a conscious effort to do 2 things everyday so I wouldn't feel so useless. (At the beginning brushing my teeth would count as 1 thing) Exercise unfortunately makes M.E. worse, not better, and post exertional malaise can occur. Feels very flu like. So I have to rely on pacing myself
In 2019 my husband and son went on holiday for 2 weeks and I was able to look after our 6 horses, dogs and house. I even tackled some decorating and sorting out while they were away. I still have to pace myself. I'm not cured. BUT I am significantly improved mostly, I believe, thanks to the advice of Ken Berry, and the confirmation that pork chops and coconut cream weren't the devils spawn!
So thanks Ken. And if you want to know what other things I did to help myself I would be happy to share.
